    Summary

Jack Fenton likes to tell his kids stories about his childhood, sometimes. Likes to talk about his college years, likes to talk about the vastness of the Fenton family, likes to talk about the little cabin in the woods he didn’t leave until he was twenty years old. It’s something of a hobby of his, to reminisce.

But like every parent, there’s just a few things that go unsaid. A secret name, a secret origin, some lost fragment of a past lightyears behind him. His children have inherited near nothing of it, he’d thought, and perhaps it was best they never know.

And then he discovers his son can fly.

(Or: Forty years ago, Jax-An crash landed in Earth’s atmosphere. Five minutes ago, Jack Fenton realised he might have passed more onto his son than he’d first thought.)

    Summary

They waited a while for Tails' handheld to pull its data from the telescope. All of a sudden the fox tensed up, furiously typing away. Overhead a second radar dish swiveled to match the first one they'd set up.

"Oh that can't be good." Rouge pulled her legs back from the roof's edge and moved to hover over Tails's shoulder.

"It's a distress signal," he breathed. "It's really weak- I don't think anyone would have noticed if we weren't already looking at the ARK."

"Wait the signal's coming from the ARK?" Amy gasped. "But- but there's nothing up there! Last time we went we cleared out most of the artificial Chaos, and that Biolizard guy's been gone for years! What up there could possibly be sending off a beacon?"

Rouge picked at her nails. "There might be something... actually."

Tails and Amy decide to go stargazing in the Mystic Ruins and make an accidental discovery that leads them back to the Space Colony: ARK. What they uncover could change everything they know about Shadow.

    Summary

“The food on the ARK is okay, but I really miss the cooking on Earth. Before I got sick, I went with my family to Spagonia. The food there was amazing! Have you found a favourite food? All I’ve ever seen you have is coffee.”
    - Maria Robotnik to Shadow, Sonic X Shadow Generations

During quieter times, Shadow makes plans to visit Spagonia, wishing to experience the cooking Maria swore by when he met her in White Space in an attempt to get to know her life on Earth better. (Un-)Fortunately, Sonic has the time show him around the place, which turns out to be a bigger help than Shadow would've ever thought. Now if only it didn't also make it harder for the hybrid to keep up his walls... Perhaps Sonic has been right all along and he should be more honest with himself.

As Shadow struggles, he quickly discovers that Sonic is hiding some secrets of his own.

    Summary

Yuder is nearly 20 years of age when the strange mark appears on his wrist.

A six-petaled flower, imprinted on his skin as if it had always been there.

When his grandfather was slowing down, old age tiring his bones and making his joints ache more and more with each passing day, he'd warned Yuder that this would happen.

"In our bloodline and one other," he said with a grave look in his eyes, "there is a curse that ties our fates together."

Every one hundred years, one person from each bloodline must suffer twelve misfortunes for a year. One will get hurt; the other must sustain their injuries in return.
