    Part 1 is a completely human universe; Part 2 is the same human universe but with magical elements. It's a little confusing and I probably shouldn't be making AU's of AU's, but alas!

    When he steps outside, squinting against the sun just past the horizon, Shanks is already looking up, tilting his hat to shade his eyes. There's a black dot in the paling sky, rapidly growing, and now that Benn's outside he can hear what Shanks meant, too- there's a faint sound that might be shouting and might be laughter.

    Benn squints. "That's not a person, is it?"

    "Can't be," Shanks says, then pauses. "In the Grand Line, maybe, but that sort of thing doesn't happen in the East Blue."

    "Not reassuring, Captain," Benn says dryly.

    (Or: Some eleven months into the Red-Hair Pirates' stay on sleepy little nowhere Dawn Island, the sun falls out of the sky.)
