If it had just been me the reaction time might not have been quick enough. He could have died, JARVIS!” the strain was audible. “I’m not watching someone else I care about die; especially when I could do something.” The AI could pick up the emotion in Captain Rogers’ voice and noted the distress. As Sir had not explicitly stated that Captain Rogers could not receive the information JARVIS made an executive decision.

That was before he'd watched good men die and taken Stark weapon shrapnel to the chest. Until he was fighting for his life and struggling for air. Putting his genius towards a new project and a new purpose. All he had needed was a box of scraps.

And then his vision had been filled with white, unforgiving white that covered everything as far as the eye could see in those last moments and now instead of that horrible white his vision was being taken over by blackness. He was alone, lost. And with that last thought he allowed the darkness to embrace him and drag him deep into unconsciousness. To take him away from the world that he loved so much, that he had fought so hard to protect. The inside of the aircraft was silent, still and unspeakably cold.
Steve Rogers is struggling with the memories and the pain from losing so much with no warning. Struggling with existing in a world so very different from the one he left behind. Some nights he can't force himself to even look at his bed much less attempt sleep. However he isn't the only one who actively avoids such a basic need.

Tony can't help but notice the far away look on Steve's face. The visible pain and loss. It wasn't right and giving Steve back everything he'd lost was the right choice. The right thing. And honestly Tony didn't do the right thing near enough.

Summary
Tony really needed to finish the Tower since it would be full of Avengers. Might help if he mentioned they were going to be living there officially. "Still need to get the letters replaced." he muttered to himself typing away, "Only the A is left..." Tony trailed off as an idea struck him. "Avengers' Tower." he tested the name out loud before mentally applauding his own genius.
