Summary
Amidst all of this, Achilles’ outward demeanor remains cool. Yet, as the days drag on, I can sense his mood beginning to sour again, frustrated that Agamemnon is not supplicating himself at our doorstep like he had hoped. I am aware that he is falling into my arms for comfort as much as I am falling into his. Time becomes imperceptible, and the nights spent in bed begin to bleed long into the daylight hours as well. We do not care. Or at least, we do not care enough to stop.
Tensions mount in the Myrmidon camp after Achilles’ withdrawal from the war. And yet it is Patroclus who finds himself receiving the majority of the blame.

Summary
Picks up right where the novel ends. Patroclus finally meets Achilles again in the afterlife, turning up much later despite dying earlier. Just when he thought all is well and they're back together again and no one is going to ruin that for them, a startling truth is revealed to him that his delay isn't as innocuous as he thinks it is and that Achilles might have been waiting for him a little much longer than he is comfortable of making him. Later, Patroclus learns what leaving Achilles on his own during that time might have done to him and to the Underworld.

Summary
I wake up to sunlight and fields of gently swaying grass. Golden hands caress my face. I would know that touch from anywhere.
“Patroclus?” Achilles wraps his arms around me. He weeps with joy. I inhale the smell of him, of sandalwood and pomegranate and earth, and an earthly longing stirs within me. “It is really you. Patroclus, Patroclus, Patroclus.” He utters my name like a song.
--Patroclus journeys into the underworld and reunites with Achilles.
