Summary
There was a time Agatha had it all. She was a tenured professor at 34-years old, she had Nicky and she was in a loving relationship with her long-time best friend turned girlfriend, Rio. Until, one day she lost Nicky and everything else crumbled around her.
For the last five months, Agatha lives as a recluse in her summerhouse on a Greek island, grieving the loss of her child. Rio, Jen, Alice and Lilia embark on a journey to Greece to try and save Agatha from herself.
Although this story starts in a sad and dark place, this is a story about the power of friendship and of unconditional love, about reconciliation and healing.

"I want this," She says, plainly, "And it's fine if you don't. I understand. But if you're only holding back because you think I'll regret it in the morning…" She trails off, racks her brain for something to soothe Rio's overworking brain with, "Rio, I'm green."
It takes a minute for Rio to answer—brain quite obviously cracking and sparking, but then, "You want this." They say in a way that sounds more like a realization sinking in than a question.
And so Agatha, just to make Rio laugh, tilts her head so she's not speaking into the mattress, "What's a little bondage between friends?"

“No problem,” She shook her head, smirking. “I like talking to you.”
“You like pissing me off.” Agatha sniped, plucking her glass off the bar when it arrived.
“Those two seem to be one in the same.”
“Just tell me something.” She said after letting a sip burn down her throat. “Where do you get off speaking to a respected professor like that?”
“Like what?”
“You were argumentative, disrespectful, dismissive–”
“No, Agatha, that was you.”
“Dr. Harkness.” Agatha corrected. “Only people I like can call me Agatha and I don’t like you.”
“Now, that’s not true.” Rio tilted her head. “You’re talking to me, aren’t you?”

Agatha swallowed. Something about the way she said it made her stomach flip-flop.
“You like the anticipation.” She offered.
Rio nodded. “I like drawing it out. I like watching women squirm. I like knowing I could have someone if I wanted to… but waiting. Making her want it more.”
Agatha raised her brows. “You sound like a tease.”
“I am.” Rio said easily, flicking ash into the tray. “But only when I know it’ll drive a girl crazy.”

Summary
“Can you talk?”, she asks, but her mother just stares, her mouth slightly ajar, her breath audible. The only sound she produces is a low moan. Agatha turns around and walks back downstairs. Maybe the pillow would have been the better option, it might still be. But now she has been here for a full night. Yesterday, she could have claimed to have found her mother dead and gone, now there would probably be questions. And what is she supposed to do with her like this? Not really alive, but not dead yet?
Agatha Harkness returns to her small-town home in Louisiana when her mother is on her death bed. A power outage brings Rio to her doorstep, an irritating nurse that asks too many questions, looks way too pretty, and seems very out of place in general.

Their first meeting on the roof nearly three years ago seems like ancient history now. Both of them are now older, stronger, sadder. More lonely, but more capable. Kate wishes it could have been different, the trajectory of their lives that changed when Valentina and Kingpin decided to become everyone’s problem, but she’s also grateful that Yelena came back to her. Kept coming back, the same way Kate kept coming back to her, no matter how long it took between each meeting.
AKA Kate Bishop has been in and out of Yelena's life after the happenings of Hawkeye (2021). This is sort of an AU of Thunderbolts*, where Kate is around during the events of the movie, just off screen.
They are friends, but not really. You all know the drill.
