A pale hand clawed its way to the surface. It dug into the ground and pulled. Out from below the surface a head forced its way into the air.
The body soon followed.Wangji was stunned.
A smile brighter than the moon that haloed from behind lighted his face. His eyes crinkled in the corners. Besides a paleness that didn’t belong to the land of the living, or the hole in his sternum that Wangji could see ribs through, he didn’t look dead.
“I do” he whispered.

Charles rolls his eyes at that, “You want to muzzle me now?”
Sighing, Carlos leans in, and a frown creases his brow as he catches a distinct, sweet omega scent emanating from Charles. "What is that?"
“Peach,” Charles says drily. “Now you know why I can’t be the next heir, right?”
