Summary
Yut Lung wakes up in a small, cramped apartment to his mother calling him for breakfast. She sits at the breakfast table, smiling. It's a warm summer day, and everything is ok- except for the fact he cannot see his mother's face, and that it's all not ok, because it's all fake and wrong and he cannot wake up.
(Yut Lung has a dream and he is forced to realize how little he knows, and how little he actually remembers, about his mother)

Summary
It takes most large trees over thirty years to be fully grown. But by fifteen years, a weeping willow has reached maturity.
It took six years for Yut Lung to lose the privilege of being able to be a child, ten years to master poisons and to become used to his body being abused without a care, and about as much time to avenge his mother. And somehow, despite also having his innocence shattered when he was so young he could do nothing, all it takes Ash is two years to apparently find everything he needs from life and die a quiet death holding a letter from a person who loves him.

Summary
Yau Si is a normal boy who grew up in a normal house where he was cared for by his adoptive father. Yau Si is a naïve and trusting boy who lets the gaggle of strangers who save him from being kidnapped rummage through his home. Yau Si is a normal teenager who does not feel jealousy when he sees Ash and Eiji talking and smiling to each other when a person like Ash shouldn't get to have something like that. Yau Si does not sneer when Eiji talks to him like he's a teenager because Yau Si is a normal sixteen year old who did not have to grow up as soon as he could.

Summary
Lee Yut Lung will kill his brothers and their families. He will kill their wives- women with tired, dead eyes who he knows his brothers married by force- and he will kill their children- innocent, scared kids who never asked to be born into this rotten family. He could not do it, if he wanted to. He could let them live, kill only his brothers and keep their families silent but alive. He could give those kids the salvation he had so badly wished when he was a kid, left motherless and left to be used by his brothers.
But he won't. He will kill them, as the smallest act of mercy he can show.
