Dazai stays quiet for a moment, closing his eyes and slowing down his breathing. When he finally opens them again, they send a shiver down Chuuya’s spine. Dazai has never looked like that before, not a single time in their seven years of friendship. His eyes are unbearably cold, the smile plastered on his face smooth and so, so, so fake, showing just the barest of perfectly white teeth, it makes Chuuya physically recoil.

Summary
After the defeat of the Decay of Angels, Kunikida has to face the grief of losing Aya and Fukuzawa, and carry his duty as the president of the Armed Detective Agency.
Slowly, he loses faith in his ideals, and finds himself going down the Azure King's path. After Kunikida loses the sight of himself and leaves the Agency, the Agency members start a race against time to stop him before his spiral reaches the bottom. Will they find him in time, or will Kunikida end up with the same fate as the Azure King?

“Nico di Angelo?” asked one of the detectives.
Nico looked at him, cocking his head and keeping his face neutral, still not speaking. There was a beat of silence before the other detective cleared his throat. Both detectives moved to sit across from him, their chairs scraping across the floor. A file was set on the table and Nico could see papers sticking out, a single name on the edge of one catching his eye, Bryce Lawrence. He worked to keep his face emotionless, but he could feel his stomach flip. ‘Oh,’ he thought, ‘that’s why I’m here.’
“Allow me to clarify the question, you are Nico di Angelo?” the same detective asked.
