Summary
An incident in class one morning leaves Tony with the urge to get up and punch his teacher. Instead, he gets up and walks out of school.
That's when he meets Ho Yinsin and Abraham Erskine. Erskine runs a coffee counter out of Yinsin's bookstore, and the men allow Tony to take refuge there when he needs to escape school or his family. It isn't long before that refuge turns into Tony's home, and those men become his family. Tony gets a taste of the good life, and he's determined to keep his new place and his new people for as long as they'll have him.
Nothing is ever so simple, however. Finding a safe place didn't make Tony's problems go away, and maintaining a safe place means doing what he can to keep his father and his bullies away from his new home.
AKA, my take on the high school/coffee shop trope.

Summary
After the superhero civil war, the Rogue Avengers are back in the US and eager to right their wrongs and make amends. When they arrive at Stark Tower to speak with Tony, Steve and the others are disheartened to learn that in their absence, Tony Stark has been kidnapped. If they want to make their apologies, talk things out, and work to rebuild their relationship as a team (and hopefully as a family), they first have to track down Tony and save his life.
And as if that's not bad enough, they realize that while they were gone Tony's replaced them with a new team, new friends, and a cat.

Summary
After Ultron, Tony was trying to get better. He really, really was. But it was difficult to get better when everything was going to hell. Between the public's increasingly poor opinion of the Avengers, Tony's deteriorating friendships, and not knowing who to trust or where to turn for help, Tony's attempts at getting better and being better were cosmetic, at best.
Some days, Tony woke up and he didn't know where to begin.

Summary
Months after the Avengers' dispute in Germany, the team returns to the US and moves back into the tower. As always, everyone pretends that nothing happened. Tony is just fine with this. He's used to pretending, and he'll be damned if he lets any of them see him flinch.
Tony's the bad guy, after all. He's used to it. He's fine with it. He's good at it.
Only now, there's something far worse loitering around the tower - The Winter Soldier. No one notices the guy at first, but when they do, Tony figures that he should have the soldier's back.
Birds of a feather should flock together, and the bad guys should start a book club.

Summary
Peter crowded Tony against the wall and bent to bring those sharp teeth toward his throat, and if Tony couldn't believe how many things he'd survived just to get his throat ripped out by the mutated version of his own protégé, he was at least grateful that he wouldn't have to face May Parker's wrath at seeing what he'd allowed to happen to her nephew.
And then Peter nuzzled into his neck, and said with a voice that was low and guttural and still somehow Peter's, "Mr. Stark, I think something's wrong with me."
Peter does get attacked by a mysterious alien on the Q-Ship, and his transformation is bad news for Tony. But... maybe not as bad as it could be.

Summary
Relics are not something out of the ordinary in the lives of sorcerers. Sentient relics are more unique. A relic that can express thoughts and emotions as the Cloak does? Almost unprecedented. There is not much written about the Cloak of Levitation; which doesn't make easier for people to understand them. The concept of an object not being a possession, but somewhat their own person is difficult to grasp for many; respect it, even more so.
The fact that Tony Stark, a man who hates everything related to the Mystic Arts didn't even blink when introduced to the Cloak is not something Stephen had the chance to think about when they met; but it certainly makes him curious now, after things are back to normal.
The contradictions that are part of the Golden Avenger make him even more interesting than he already is; more tempting than he should be. Stephen and the Cloak start spending more time in the Compound, in Tony’s sanctuary, his workshop, and with his creations. The two men start opening up to each other and what was only attraction quickly transforms into something deeper.
No one saw the implications of what letting Dum-E and the Cloak bond would mean.
