Gem is caught off guard when Grian visits her very early one morning, with a simple, but odd request- "Can I brush your hair?" She has no reason to say no, so she lets him. The interaction becomes even odder when she remembers that Grian famously hates being touched, or touching others, yet here he is, brushing and braiding her hair.
She brushes the interaction off as an anomaly, but then he comes back. Again, and again, and again.

Consequently, the fact that there is now a stranger in the middle of his lab, looking utterly disheveled and very confused, is absolutely not his fault.
