"Hello? Kim Minju-ssi?" Minju deciphers a feminine voice say on the other side of the line. Whoever this person is is calling from a market, or something. Who goes to such loud, crowded places nowadays?
Minju doesn't know very much about phone manners (She hasn't called anyone she isn't familiar with in years, why would she? With the convenience of online ordering and bill-paying?) but she knows that the other person probably shouldn't know her full name if they're a stranger. "Uhm, yes? Who is this? How did you get my number?"
"This is Seoul General Hospital. Kim Chaewon-ssi just got admitted into the emergency room, and your number was listed as her only emergency contact."
Minju chokes on air.
(Minju and Chaewon broke up years ago. Why is Minju still Chaewon's emergency contact?)
