Summary

“What, do you think I can’t do this on my own?” He retorted, leaning back in his chair, “Come on, I’m better than that.”
“I know you are. That’s exactly why I’m giving him to you.” Bevan spun the folder around so he could see. “Here’s your man.” He tapped his finger on the photo at the top of the profile. Montagu leaned in closer, pulling the file toward him, “He’s been with the force for a while - 6 years, to be exact - but requested to move precincts at the start of the year given he wasn’t exactly…popular at the last one and wants a fresh start.”
“Why?”
“Couldn’t tell you. Frankly he seems like a lovely man and a very hard worker, but popularity is rarely about personality. Either way, I think you’d get along with him.”The boys catch a murderer.

I cried so hard when I figured out Bella was dead. I cried at the end, too, when monty and jean are talking. Jean deserves closure, and to write as much as she wants about Bella, until the supernova from that old star has disappeared. I did not come into this expecting to grieve a character I barely know - but I'm here now. I might as well.
