    It always started the same way. Every goddamned time.

    Sighing, Tony leaned back into his shackles.

    Did it suck to be kidnapped? Yes, it did. Was it humiliating? Yes, it was. Although by now there was little Tony felt actual shame about, so some humility might do him some good.
    Although his boyfriends did tend to get upset about him being kidnapped.

    And the fact that this time Steve had been taken, too, wouldn’t get him any favors.

    Part of the pardon deal granted to the Rogue Avengers is that they have to move back into the compound for six months. They aren't any happier about it than Tony seems to be. This is the first time they’ve actually been around Tony this much. Sure they’d gone on missions before they’d fallen out over the Accords, but they’d never lived together. Now all of their assumptions about him are being challenged and they’re getting their first good look at who Iron Man really is. One by one they start to realize that Tony needs to be part of the little family they’ve formed, and make it their mission to bring him into the fold.

    OR

    As the team rallies around Tony, they start to see positive changes in Tony's relationship with his intern Peter, and in other parts of Tony's life as well. We see Tony and Peter through the eyes of the newly returned Rogues.

    “The Potter’s house,” Regulus rasped, his voice hoarse and trembling. He shoved a handful of Sickles into Stan’s hand before collapsing onto the nearest seat.

    Stan stared for a moment but said nothing. The bus jolted into motion, sending Regulus sprawling against the window. He didn’t care. The world outside blurred into streaks of color, and for the first time in hours, days, fucking weeks he allowed himself to breathe.

    The pain throbbed with each beat of his heart, but he ignored it. He pressed his forehead against the cool glass, his gray eyes vacant as he stared at the night rushing past. The Potters. He was going to the Potters.

    Tony wasn’t supposed to be taking this class. Technically, he wasn’t even allowed to be taking it because he didn’t have the required prerequisites. But a little enrollment issue wasn’t anything that hacking into the registrar’s system couldn’t solve so here he was, officially signed up and sitting in his usual seat in the back corner, raising his hand and waiting to be called on.
