Right before Christmas, on an op that goes bad thanks to terrible weather predictions, Ghost finds himself hoping that his sergeant is okay, lost somewhere in the snow and injured with Farah, and the man they were sent to find.Alex is a little too calm, despite knowing that his commander, and the woman he loves, is in danger, and Simon begins to wonder if he's just too far gone for Soap in his worrying, or if Alex is better at hiding his panic than previously thought.

Summary
An all too familiar face stares back at Ghost from inside the book. Simon is staring back at him, expressions captured down to the finest details. He looks alive. There are scribblings beside the doodles, thought Ghost doubts these class as doodles. To him, they are masterpieces.
The scribblings read little criticisms and notes, things such as: ‘too dark’, ‘wider eyes’, ‘softer lips’ and Ghost traces his thumb over the drawings. There is one of just his lips, sketched onto the corner of the page.

On leave, Ghost realises Soaps phone screen is an amazing digital piece of artwork of him in the mask. When asked about it, Soap is dismissive and says he asked someone to make it. It’s only when they’re back on base, does Ghost learn the truth.- Language:

Summary
A canon-compliant rework and extension of MW2: Reboot.
Simon was an unstoppable force, but Fate was an immovable object.
Stationary.
When you ignore it, and put up walls to secure yourself, it only delays the inevitable. Unavailing. It doesn’t stop it. Moments in time slowly drill their way through, picking an open scab until it turns to scar tissue. It will break your skin until it drains you. You will deteriorate into ashes, scattered by the wind.
And if you force yourself against Fate, shielded with a lifetime of trauma that you use to protect yourself– you’re forced to recognize why you put the walls up in the first place. Every moment full of agony, abuse, anguish.
Your walls will crumble, because Fate never fails.
And as Fate tore the first wall apart, Simon was pushed.
