"That bird reminded me of the bird we used to have in elementary."
"We had a bird?" Being in the same class since before they could remember, they really should have the same memories but Hanbin was always bringing up these weird things that Jiwon couldn't even think to recognise. Seemed like another exception.
"Yeah, see, you're victim to it too," Hanbin said with a grin, and Jiwon was confused. "After the bird died, it seemed like everyone forgot about it. I really hated that, it made me think that the love everyone had for it before was so fickle."
'When...did our class...have a bird?'
'Do I even remember anything from as far back as that?'
"Once no-one remembers something...it's like it never existed."

"JIWON! JIWON, OH MY GOD, WE-"
And instead of yelling with him, Jiwon pulled Junhoe's face towards him and finally kissed him, smiling gently at the feeling of Junhoe's skin under his hand that wasn't perfect, he could feel a bit of stubble but did he care? Not one bit. And when Junhoe instantly pulled away and stared at him with wide eyes and flushed skin, there wasn't any better feeling.
"We...won..."
"I know," Jiwon replied, smiling as he saw Junhoe's faltering, confused eyes. And in the corner of his own eye, he could see Chanwoo grinning at him with both pride and 'ew' in his expression. "I know we did."
And then Junhoe was the one kissing him, wrapping him up in his arms and Jiwon couldn't help his laughter even if he was swept up in a whirlwind romance. Wednesdays were really the most magical of days.

"No, you are," Junhoe refuted, finally pulling back only to get attacked by Jinhwan pulling him in again to press a soft kiss to his temple. Junhoe shivered a little, dipping his head as he felt too stupefied to look Jinhwan in the eye. "But thank you..."
"Cutie," Jinhwan teased before raising his arms in surrender when Junhoe glowered at him. "Hey, I just say what I see. Don't hate the player, hate the game."
"But what's the game?"
"Nothing," Jinhwan said after a while, and Junhoe's heart lifted at the words he said next. "There isn't one, 'cause this isn't a game."

"ARE YOU DATING?!" Jiwon screeched, brandishing another oh-so-threatening carrot stick and Jinhwan groaned, dropping his head into Hanbin's chest because he didn't want to deal with this now. "And you haven't told us-"
"Guys, shut up, we're not dating," Hanbin said, voice calm as he wrapped an arm around Jinhwan to make him feel better, and it worked. A little. The words just caused a bigger uproar though of more 'BUT YOU JUST' but Hanbin held up a hand. "We only kiss."
Everyone was silent for a moment. Only the breeze made noise, until dead Junhoe was finally sitting up and saying with wide eyes, "Oh my God, you two are friends with benefits."

Jinhwan had to bite his lip to hold back a noise at the cuteness. "No, no, they don't. I think it came from a region that had a forest called the Black Forest. In Germany or Norway, I don't know."
Hanbin's ears drooped a little and Jinhwan wanted to cry. "Ah...okay."

Junhoe was starting to learn about the parts of life that were worth living for. Friendship. And frosting. And no homo. It was scenes like these that were hidden between the lines of the main play, never written in the screenplay or acted out because everyone knows the gist, but since he was only a simple extra in the performance it really meant more to him. It was kind of all he had, while also being more than he had asked for.

As Yunhyeong watched him from behind and felt the way that Hanbin held onto his hand gently, but tightly, intertwining their fingers with a smooth transition, he realised that Hanbin had never outright said 'I like you' but neither had he said the words 'I don't like you' and in Yunhyeong's mind, that meant far more to him than it was probably supposed to.

Jiwon didn't have any reaction straight away.
Thinking back, Junhoe had no idea what Jiwon was. He was so freelance about anything to do with relationships and love, barely talking about it but still 'aww'ing over opposite or same sex relationships alike, and Junhoe knew he had had a girlfriend once but the only thing Jiwon would say about her was 'she liked curry and I couldn't make good enough curry for her.' Though one time recently, something incredible happened. Junhoe and Jiwon were sitting on Jiwon's sofa, watching something random on tv that had a ton of idols doing something, when Jiwon had randomly said, 'he's hot, I'd bang him' and everything was dead silent. Junhoe stared at him so hard. Jiwon stared back. Then he simply got up and walked away.
They never talked about it again.

Summary
Their friends called what Jiwon felt for Yunhyeong 'puppy love' and it fit so well, in a way that Jiwon wished it wouldn't. The definition of the notion, a term describing (often youthful) feelings of romantic or platonic love resembling the adoring affection of a puppy was something that Jiwon found both sweet but borderline offensive at the same time. It made him feel a little bitter because puppy love was never taken seriously. People called it short-term, infatuation, the opposite of serious but Jiwon was serious. Or, at the least, he was serious about Yunhyeong. He wanted to be serious about him.
Wasn't that all that really mattered?

Aura, commonly described as one of the most beautiful simplistic words in the english vocabulary, also the plural form of the word 'aurum', latin for gold aka one of the most well-known words in the world. Auras are the foundation of feelings, of thoughts, when something or someone gives off an aura, you can sense it. The parts that made up Chanwoo's world had all kinds of auras that differed that made life difficult, made life hard to swallow but Yunhyeong's aura was the only one Chanwoo liked analysing.
Just in his head.
It was, without a doubt, always something indescribable but Chanwoo would still try.

Junhoe's pretty sure that this is the longest fight that they've ever had and if there was one thing he was certain of, it wasn't that Hanbin was going to come back to him. Because Junhoe had messed up. He was good at doing that, especially to one of the only people he loved, and he wondered why on earth he kept pushing him away.

Donghyuk blinked, the smile in question immediately faltering as Junhoe looked incredibly smug and okay, Donghyuk was a smooth-talker, there was never any doubt about that, he could totally reply with something better! Beautiful people flattering him did not get to his head, not at all. "And- and you have...eyebrows."
Yes. Maybe Donghyuk had messed up.

Junhoe looked down and smiled as he slipped his hand into Jiwon's and held onto it tighter than ever, and that was how Jiwon knew that he felt the exact same way. "'The word is literally ours'. That's so cheesy so why do I love the sound of it?"
