“Are you trying to get killed, Potter?” Malfoy drawls, stalking forward. Quick as a serpent himself, he reaches out and grabs the snake just below the head. It thrashes in his grip, but is no longer able to bite anyone. “This is a poisonous snake, and I doubt anyone brought a bezoar with them.”
Harry glares. He opens his mouth, and feels the beginning the snake’s language pass his lips, and this isn’t what he wants, what’s the point of insulting Malfoy if he can’t understand him –
Malfoy’s eyes widen. He slaps his hand over Harry’s mouth, “Potter, what the hell–”

Summary
For Freminet, taking the brunt of what he thought was an acid attack aimed towards Spina di Rosula's boss was nothing more than a split second decision. He wouldn't call himself a hero by any stretch of the imagination-he's skittish and meek and tragically pathetic on almost every level-and he wouldn't say he led his life with noble and virtuous intentions either.
-But when the urge to help someone comes to him, he ponders little over it. That's just what a good person would do, and Freminet desperately wants that: to be a good person.
(Still, maybe he should have paid more attention to just what was being splashed.)
OR
Freminet dissolves into water. That really should have been the end of it, but it seems like the ocean wasn't keen on letting him go just yet.

He hiccups again. “I’m not gay, pinky promise, Lan Zhan, but you’re so fucking pretty, always been pretty like a girl,” even prettier than any girl, really, but he doesn’t say that, and once again, too preoccupied with his mouth, Wei Ying misses the heartbreak in Lan Zhan’s gaze, the misery threatening to swallow him up. “I wanna kiss you again,” Wei Ying declares and without waiting for an answer, he pushes a stunned Lan Zhan back onto the mattress like he’s seen men do with women and climbs on top of him, hand sliding up his chest as he leans in again and kisses Lan Zhan with even more enthusiasm than before.
Maybe in this version, Icarus doesn’t burn; instead, he lets the Sun devour him.
