Crowley blinked. He would have liked to follow Aziraphale’s request, but he had no thought to hold. (Except for ‘What on human’s earth is going on?’, which he wasn’t sure was worth holding.)
“You see, I…I have some incredibly good news to give you.”
Aziraphale talked about news, but there wasn’t really anything new here. Crowley had the exact same sinking feeling he did the first time the angel had promised good news and hit him with the worst kind.OR
Crowley finds himself trapped in a time loop that resets at the worst possible moment.

Aziraphale takes a piece of bruschetta and shoves it into his mouth. It is at that exact moment, while his cheeks are puffed out like a hamster’s, that Crowley’s head snaps around as though an alarm has gone off at a pitch that only he can hear. His gaze zeroes in, with terrifying accuracy, on Aziraphale.
“Oh drat,” Aziraphale mumbles around his mouthful of bruschetta.
Then he runs straight out of the restaurant.
