In the aftermath and trauma of Janus's personal war against the demons, Zenna has an uphill battle to restore calm and order in Alemouth. The lack of further demon attacks is less help than she'd like, when faced with the death and injury that remain, the disruption to industry and commerce, and people's struggles with faith.
