Bakugou turned to argue, because who the fuck did that nerd think he was, before he met dull and annoyed emerald irises. He should have known he was practically immune to his empty threats after over 20 years of putting up with them. The man’s eyebrow raised in silent askance.
Are you really going to try me today?
Katuski, against better judgment, rolled his eyes internally and looked away. No.
As if they just had a conversation, Shouto watched as Midoriya cleared his throat before turning back to him, flashing his pearly whites in a blinding smile once again. “Now, Shouto, what were you going to order?”
The other smiled to himself. “I’ll have an Iced Americano.”
Alternatively. With a hell of a past in each of their upbringings, Shouto and Katsuki are left to face the looming obstacle of vulnerability over twenty years later. There's drama, violence, satire, and coffee.
Oh. and Shinsou and Midoriya are just along for the ride.

"I-I uh...yeah. I'll still play." I tried to ignore how hot my face felt as he continued to stare at me. God, why did a hot guy like him have to be such a jerk?"

Summary
Sero calls that drug by a fancy name. It’s not unlike morphine, aside from the euphoric feeling it brings. It also lulls the senses, relieves Bakugou from the daytime stress, and, above everything else, it gives him the sleepless eight hours of rest that his body craves.
It’s ironic that he’s been assigned as the detective that’s about to bring down one of the main suppliers in the city when Bakugou can’t keep from sweating and trembling in his bed without it.
Tomorrow he’s meeting his new partner, despite Bakugou expecting to work the case on his own. As luck would have it, there is yet another poor bastard freshly out of the Academy arriving tomorrow. The last name is familiar, as is everything concerning Bakugou’s former employer.
