Will has a lot of gripes with the gods, and even more gripes with himself. He’s spent a long, long time pushing down how he feels and putting on a brave face—but a 3 day stay for Nico spells the end of his composure.

Summary
A small kiss. A litany of smaller kisses that escalated into a slow, experimental kiss that had Will melting. Butterflies erupted in his stomach and heat flared under his skin; adrenaline rushed to his head in a lightheaded haze and he never wanted the moment to end. Rough hands caressed his cheek and landed in his curls, gripping gently. Will's eyes were closed, but he could see the light of his glow through his eyelids, and he smiled.

Summary
Nico had ended his three day stay in the infirmary on a rather very unusual note; all of his belongings bar his clothes for the day had been returned to his cabin in the morning, so the room he'd resided in was empty- bar a single black rose laid across the hospital table besides his bed. No note, no indication of who left it; one minute, the room had been entirely empty, and then Nico was returning from the bathroom to find the flower resting there, just for him.
What many didn't know about true black roses was that they weren't technically black, nor did every black rose come from the same species. Some were dark purple, some were dark red, all were beautiful in their own ways. Black roses had different meanings- from anti-establishment politics to death and mortality to the only rose suitable for seducing those who were darker in nature- so perhaps fitting for courting a Son of Hades. Although, Nico mused, who would dare to court him?
He picked it up delicately, raising it to his nose to sniff instinctually. He couldn’t smell it. Who was it from? Was it from another man?

Will learns that Nico is sick. Nico seems to be very philosophical when on death’s door, and Will has to confront his perceptions of himself and his powers in the process. Includes three poems depicting Will’s shift in how he views his healing hands.
