[Finished reading chapter 12, max chapter at the time, as of 09/02/2025]
No knowledge of Hunter x Hunter needed, the fic does a good job explaining the scene.We follow Frisk who manages to yeet herself over to Hunter X Hunter. Frisk has a lot of, baggage (survivors guilt ehe) from repeat being forced to genocide monsterkind by Chara/The-Player. It has story impact but it’s not drowning in it.
I like this fic, it’s fast paced (to me, I think 20k for an arc is quick-) and I like that. It moves, not fast that it skips the fun emotion bits but their is something going on, minimum nothing-filter.
I also like the character personality and interactions… like frisk being held up like a cat like WHEEEZE

For the past four years, life in the Underground has gone on as it always has.
But there is one who cannot simply go on. She has long since mourned the loss of her beloved daughter, but she is haunted by her actions towards the single most important person in her life, and more specifically, the good they saw in her.Clover.. did not have a good home life, to put things simply. They came to the Underground not just in the name of justice, but also as a means of escape, and in doing so found something they had never had on the surface; family.
With the shattering of the Barrier, and after a little bit of help by an old best friend, Clover finds themself alive once more with years of time to catch up on. When they find a still struggling Ceroba, Clover once more can’t help but feel compelled by justice to help her, especially when they find out that a specific someone dear to her may not be gone just yet.
And through all this, a selfish little part of Clover’s brain can’t help but ask; could this be a chance for a new life? Could Ceroba be someone Clover could call Mother?
Can Ceroba even handle that role once more, or will her guilt push her away from the two people she loves most?Series
