Summary
**ON HIATUS**
Two years after Dubai, Daniel and Armand are settling into a domestic maker/fledgling arrangement in Brooklyn, sharing a coffin room and hunting together, but the tension between them never fully went away. Marius, Armand's covetous maker, reappears and only strains their relationship further. The ancient threatens to pull Armand away while Daniel struggles with the desires that he won't even admit to himself, and adamantly believes he shouldn’t have for the maker who abandoned him.
AUTHOR’s NOTE: This story started off in my head as a dubious consent one-shot with Marius that I began writing some lead-up plot for, but now the story is going in a very different tonal direction than what it originally was intended to be. It’s much more focused on the pining between Daniel and Armand. I want to explore that properly, so I’m going to put this on hiatus and flesh out the rest before I resume posting. Will probably publish the already written one-shot separately. Thanks for your patience!

Jimmy glances around the room, eyes darting, and Sam feels almost nauseous watching him. Something that’s not Castiel is in Castiel’s body, Sam’s mind supplies in a panic, but another part of him corrects that thought: Castiel is the something. The body is back in its proper state.
The story of Jimmy Novak is Sam's worst nightmare, which is something he didn't fully consider until he was left alone in a room with the guy for an hour. Sam thinks it could've gone worse. It definitely could've gone better.

Sam laid down on the cot and attempted to sleep, letting the radio fill the silence. He could still hear, off in the distance, the howl of a coyote, five miles out. It didn’t sound right. It sounded sick. Someone, Sam thought before he drifted off, should put that poor bastard down.
