Summary
Willow Morae, an unwilling planetary colonist, joins the terran cosmic navy to escape her family and her past. Unluckily for her, she joins just as the Affini win the war, and her commander has decided to continue fighting. 4 years later, over half the crew were captured by the affini after several members sent out a distress signal to them. Now, she's alone, the only remaining engineer desperately holding together an ancient cruise ship they fleed the planet on.
Nyx Choreant, second bloom, is an affini suffering horrible depression. She's never had a floret and feels as though she wouldn't have the ability to properly take care of someone.
