Yet, she finds herself in the arms of a heavenly maiden that glows beneath the streetlights. Dressed like a dancer from ancient times with long hair and clear skin and unfairly gorgeous features. If Maomao was not such a non-believer, she would have thought her saviour was some sort of goddess.
She steps back before leaping into the air and zipping away.
All on a stream of water that erupts from below her feet, trailing her path into the night sky.
There is only one conclusion—one mind-shattering revelation that Maomao had to come to terms with.
