After nearly two years of dating, Sokka was pretty familiar with Zuko’s face. Not just the prominent scar over his left eye, but also the curve of his nose, the line of his cheekbones, the radiance of his smile. He’d seen it when Zuko was laughing, crying, passionately arguing and just quietly content.
Zuko’s usually familiar face was now missing a tooth.

Summary
With Zuko's birthday incoming, Sokka strikes up an unlikely alliance with Azula to plan him a surprise party. But he and Zuko are also mid moving in together, Katara and Aang show up unexpectedly, and nothing ever quite seems to go the way Sokka plans.
Midwest Bi Disaster Zukka - established relationship but does make reference to many past characters/dynamics and is definitely building upon previously established plot points. So maybe a stand-alone but not as clearly as others.

Piandao’s voice breaks his focus from his memories. “Is that a problem?”
“No, no, that’s not a problem,” Sokka replies, absent-mindedly. “But hey, Piandao, do you… do you know who my partner for this season will be?”
Piandao frowns. “Zuko Sugita. He’s their usual partner. I thought you knew this?”

After a last-minute work reassignment requires Sokka to spend his summer in a cramped van with Zuko, he finds himself questioning whether or not he can survive it. He unexpectedly finds a tedious friendship in the other man, and as they navigate storm patterns together, Sokka becomes increasingly aware of the tender storm of emotions in his heart.
