Everybody knows that Regulus Black is simply not a “people person.” He forms acquaintanceships, not friendships. There’s no need to do so when he already has a family of his own and no interest in widening his circle.
So, when he receives an email from “Prongs,” Regulus is expecting the odd stranger to take the hint, leave him alone, and move on with his life. Instead, he learns that, sometimes, the best things that happen to a person come unexpectedly.

Regulus has always loved French. So, when James asked the Slytherin to teach him, he didn’t hesitate to agree. He didn’t get to speak the language outside of conversations with his parents and Sirius, and welcomed the idea of getting to share the experience with his boyfriend, too.
But there’s always difficulty in teaching and learning a language. With his eagerness to speak French even half as well as Regulus does, James is up for the challenge anyway, and Regulus is surprised to hear just how much James has learned.
Or, Regulus discovers James knew a bit more French than he let on.

After years of plotting, the Marauders have finally cracked the code to their best Christmas stunt yet, and James can’t wait to be witness to all the love and cheer it’ll bring.
That is, until he finds himself trapped in the exact situation he had been trying to avoid. In theory, being put in a position to receive the thing at the very top of your Christmas list is great. Brilliant, even. Only, it’s not so great when it involves your best friend’s little brother, and a hidden love so strong it’d make the Grinch’s heart swell tenfold.
Or, James finds himself caught under the mistletoe.

Regulus Black has been to several parties over the course of his lifetime, and he’s learned to associate them with a particular network, one that consists of him playing the role of a pureblooded prince, pretending to make connections his parents approve of, pretending to give a damn. So, when he’s invited to his first Gryffindor party, he expects to take on another role, this time as the cold-hearted Slytherin he’s crowned himself, sticking to a corner, staying out of everyone’s way and acting as if he doesn’t exist.
But apparently alcohol works wonders, and Regulus discovers that there’s a place where he doesn’t have to pretend, where he can simply be without fear or punishment. Even if that means making a bit of a fool of himself. Even if that means he still enjoys it anyway.
Or, maybe Regulus doesn’t completely hate parties.
