    He’s petty and spiteful and full of mischief and Rumi despises the way his eyes glimmer when he’s got a stupid grin like when she managed to hide candy from Celine as a kid to snack on not-meal-off days.

    She much prefers the startled, wide-eyed look of a hissy cat when she manages to get the drop on him, close enough to see the barest flush to his ears and wide, fluttering lashes from shock.

    Jinu's in Rumi's sword, being as annoying as you can be when you're reduced to a singing voice and flashy lights.

    They don't figure this out until after Mira starts wondering if the hallu-Jinu singing along to practice is just in her head or in the others', too.
