    Sam Wilson's fugitive life, post-Accords: taking refuge in a kingdom that might as well have been magical, in a sprawling palace set against beautiful mountains and jungles, where there was a handsome man cursed and trapped in a deathly sleep in a glass coffin, and a kind and just king who was working to heal him, and a stalwart warrior from a far-off time who wouldn't leave his cursed friend, and, hell, Sam even knew a witch. Surely Sam could be forgiven if his thoughts turned to fairy tales and Disney movies.

    Bucky's kind of like a Disney princess. Sam would maybe like to be Prince Charming.

    Bucky is so competent that it hurts my feelings is not a rational complaint to have about a person, and yet, after a year of being Captain America and partnering up with Bucky for the new and improved, post-Blip Avengers, that’s kinda how Sam’s feeling.

    It’s not great. It maybe leads to Sam making some rash, ill-advised decisions like claiming he has a previously undisclosed superpower, and then getting caught in a web of lies when he ends up actually developing that surprisingly inconvenient superpower. Talking to birds had seemed like a harmless superpower, but it turns out that birds have a lot of opinions, and they don’t hesitate to tell Sam about them, especially when it comes to his supposedly subpar courting skills. Which is ridiculous, because Sam isn’t courting Bucky. Right?

    Shen Yuan could confidently say that the new gym he'd joined (against his will) was not his scene. He had no idea what he was doing, couldn't do any exercise without feeling like he was going to die, and was probably going to get beat up by the unfairly good looking employee who kept glaring at him.

    Sadly, Shen Yuan knew he had to stick with it for a little longer. And who knows, maybe he'd even find a reason to stay?

    “Liu Qingge! I told you not to drink the water!” Shen Qingqiu shouts. His thoughts are a panicked whirl- is it going to have the same effect that it did in the original story?

    Liu Qingge just stares at him in shock.

    Shen Qingqiu’s question is answered when he suddenly hears Liu Qingge’s voice. Liu Qingge isn’t speaking, though- his mouth never moves. No, Shen Qingqiu is hearing Liu Qingge’s voice inside his head.

    Liu Qingge’s voice says, “Holy shit. I can see his nipples.”

    They both stare at each other in horror. At that moment, there’s a happy little ding and a System notification pops up in front of him.

    [Congratulations! Bonus mission activated: Sharing is Caring!]

    “Fuck,” Shen Qingqiu says, with feeling.
