Summary
After the events of X2 Logan goes off to figure out more about his past. After some time he starts thinking about settling down in the mountains, somewhere quiet and away from the chaos in New York. He now lives in Canada, up in the mountains surrounded by beautiful woods, his ideal home, where could be more peaceful? At the bottom of the mountain is a small town, where the community are very close. Now that he has been here for a little over a month, he is also starting to get to know people - except one girl, and for some reason it is killing him. No one knows a single thing about her. All the information he has seemed to of gathered is that she has been here for a few months now and lives up in a cabin nearby.
He has a strange feeling about her and its gnawing at him to find out who she is. Why? Who know, but he just has to.

Steve crosses his arms, feeling more than a little defensive. "Look, it's not my first choice either, but there's no other option. There's literally not another room in all of Susquehanna with space for me."
Bucky looks as though his soul is about to leave his body in sheer annoyance. "I just—I really thought I was going to have a single this year."
"Yeah?" Steve keeps himself from snapping, but only just. "I thought I was going to have a room this year."

In which Steve and Bucky are forced to room together their senior year at boarding school, and accidentally soul bond to each other even though they kind of hate each other. All they have to do to get out of it is not kiss each other for a year so the accidental bond will fade. How hard could it be?

Summary
Steve was everything the weirdly invasive history books and biographies said he was. He was every inch and ounce the great man the world thought him to be. Bucky had known that all along, and he was pleased that even seventy years later, the whole world was finally beginning to get to know his Steve. And Steve’s mind was something special too. He was one of the greatest tacticians the world had ever seen. Any situation, any enemy, any impossible scenario you could throw at him, Steve would bull right through it. Put him up against any great leader of the past, and Bucky would place his bets on Steve every time.
He had, in fact. Bucky’d bet his life on Steve, every time they’d waltzed into battle.
The thing was, Steve’s tactical mind was a thing of beauty, a rare gem in a world of mediocrity, something that barely came along once every few generations.
But when it came to matters of the heart and soul? Steve Rogers was kind of a dumbass.
But for the first time, Bucky had time to deal with Steve’s temper his way.

Okay, so the real problem is that you shouldn’t fuck your arch-rival, political enemy, and the person you loathe the most in the world where you work. Or like, at least, you shouldn’t keep doing that.
But okay, the thing that Descartes or whoever didn’t know was that Steve really tries, but Bucky Barnes has a mouth that should probably constitute an eighth sin or something.
Jesus fucking Christ, Sam’s going to kill him.
