Summary
This is just a few ideas about what a “golden age” for the Little Peninsula might include: partly inspired by a Discord WTT prompt.
This takes place long after the events of Return of the Thief. It’s based on the story News from the Palace in the Moira’s Pen collection, but if you haven’t read it, you only need to know that a much older Pheris is appointed as Secretary of the Archives when Baron Orutus retires, and Pheris asks Costis’ son Timris to be his translator and assistant.
I should point out that although no-one actually dies on page it does discuss old age and loss.

This bit of nonsense was a not very successful attempt at fancy formatting I tried a while back. T rated for drug references. (The letter also seems to have turned out a bit British, sorry.)

Summary
As days turned into weeks and plans for Eugenides's new fort became more detailed, a steady trickle of people began to cross over to our side of the Lusimina. Some were Roan civilians: people who lived, or claimed to have lived, in the area before the Mede army had churned through it. Others were Mede deserters: soldiers, and a few slaves, who preferred to ask for Attolian mercy rather than endure the long, uncertain journey home.
Costis and Kamet have a fight; Pheris and Kamet talk; and Costis and Aris reconnect.
