    Hare stops at the crossing. The barrier goes down and Haru knows Rin is standing on the other side before he sees him. It’s like they are back in middle school. Their gaze meets for a second and the train passes, and while it blocks his sight Haru sees his life flashing before his eyes. Their lives. All the moments they shared together, the good and the bad, especially the last, busy year that just ended.

    And within the few seconds that separate him from running to Rin’s side again, Haru manages to sort out the feelings that had been boiling in his veins since the moment they met.
