“Pharm, Pharm, Pharm, Pharm.” In’s rapid-fire repetition of Pharm's name was accompanied by an equally increasing pitch of his voice as he tried to get his friend's attention.
“What – Phi – I’m trying to finish this –” Pharm's sentence and his piping on the cake in front of him were disrupted by In’s hands gripping his forearm and shaking it. Hopefully P’Sin wasn’t expecting to pick up his order first thing.
Before Pharm could protest, In was moving and turning him away from his work station in the kitchen and towards the front of the shop with a whispered, “It's him. Here’s here.”

“I wasn’t trying to hack Pharm’s phone!” Team said, throwing his hands up. “I was trying to see if hia said what time he was picking me up.”
Pharm and Manaow made cooing sounds and Team’s cheeks and ears turned a darker shade of pink.
“And if I was trying to hack Pharm’s phone I would have started with U.S. dollar sign-e-x-yen-Phillipine peso-d-euro-a-n,” Team said.

Win doesn’t know what happened, but he's not going to ask. Of the two of them, Win knows that Pharm is more likely to be the one to explain, but one look at Pharm and it's clear that's not something he wants to talk about.
All he'd gotten from Dean, who’d sat down next to him in his room and extended his hand to demand the other game controller, was a brief explanation and an unambivalent promise that it was complicated but okay – or would be. If he couldn’t get the answer out of Dean, Win wasn’t going to make Pharm talk if he wasn’t comfortable.
He wasn’t, however, above trying to get information out of Team – in fact it had been fun trying to get Team to spill what he knew, but apparently Pharm hadn’t any more forthcoming with Team than Dean had been with him. And if Pharm wasn't going to confide in his best friend… But maybe Win could confide in him.
Win doesn't know why Dean and Pharm are taking some time apart, but he needs to know what he can do to help.
(or: we need more Win and Pharm friendship!)
