Velvette had been looking forward to this moment for weeks, and now that it was finally here, she couldn't seem to find the right words. She reached out for the special pokeball, a love ball that she'd specially bought for this occasion. Every rehearsed speech left her mind, fleeing like an abra, and she chewed on her lip as Odette sat next to her, completely unaware about the nerves currently overwhelming Velvette.
The world around them felt still, and Velvette allowed herself a few seconds to just watch Odette, to breathe in the scene and let the nervous excitement bubble quietly in her chest. She could only hope this would go well. She'd tried so hard to craft the perfect proposal, picking a spot out of the way of anyone, private. So this moment could be theirs and theirs alone, away from the public that seemed to follow Velvette everywhere.
She didn't want to share this day with anyone else.
