Summary
Dean has NO idea what to do when the wall breaks in Sam's mind and Sam's first move--once he's conscious again--is to try and 'service' him. So he sends Sam away on the spot, and Castiel brings Sam to Hayden’s apartment (original character).
Hayden and Sam have been best friends since high school. And even though she had no idea Sam was in Hell, or soulless, she readily takes up the challenge of helping him recover. But...it won't be easy. Or fast. 120 years of training and constant visions of Hell in Hayden's apartment keep Sam convinced he's in danger. It will take all of her attention to help him recover...and more magic than she knew she had.

*Of note: This story simplifies the cannon. It pretends the entire storyline of God Castiel didn't happen, Castiel brought his body back, put the barrier up to keep him from remembering, then when he realized there was no soul, Death got it and put it back at Dean's request, which shatters the wall. (Also that ONLY Sam and Lucifer were in the cage.)*
