A girl on the brink --
Charlie Foxtrot is fourteen. She's headstrong, smart and inquisitive. Just a little bit of a terror! And in trouble for it all the time. She's also a magical girl. That means, apparently, that she can wish for anything she wants...but she has to have the strength of spirit to back up her wish. And she'll never see the results -- it'll only be granted when she's dead! How does she know all this? it's simple: her stuffed bear told her, an (apparently) sentient fellow by the name of Bentley Q Bultitude. He can be trusted, right?
Nothing is free, except her. In a world shaped by the dreams of dead girls, Charlie Foxtrot is alive, baby. And kicking. She's gotta figure out what she wants out of life, and fast, because the ride has to be worth it.

Path to being a normal girl?
Nothing. Aw, shucks.
Fortuna finds herself plucked from medieval Etruscan society by a woman who is decidedly not a doctor (and isn't very good at being a mother), and dropped unceremoniously into the world of 1986. Everything is changing fast, there are heroes everywhere, and she's one of them. So is her mom. Now, Fortuna goes by Charlie Fort. The world is changing, and they're in the drivers' seat, thanks to her power.
It's going to be great. Soon, they won't even need to keep an alien god chained up in the basement anymore.

Summary
Vader came to Severin Black with a confession. During the founding of the Empire, he'd committed war crimes. And he had the holos to prove it.
This was everyday business for Severin. As an inspector for the Imperial Security Bureau, he saw a lot of war crimes. He had wide prosecutorial discretion, and he was expected to use it. It benefitted everyone when he did.
But Vader seemed to be having a legitimate crisis of conscience. And the revelations he confessed to threatened to undo everything.
So Vader would go to trial. And justice would be done, though the heavens fell. After all, Severin liked being alive.
