“I'll see you at lunch,” Caitlyn says, soft lips skating over hers. In the early morning sun with her hair loose in waves, a gentle rebellion of Piltovan tastes, a stunning figure cut in the robes of her heritage, ivory silks heavy with embroidery, glacial blue threads to match her eyes, Vi learns again that most of Caitlyn's life has been lived in circles that most mortals never get to glimpse.
Caitlyn's smile is soft as she sweeps out of their Ionian bedroom to a business breakfast with another family older than all of Piltover. Vi waits til she hears those footsteps disappear down the corridor of the Kiramman estate before she leaps into action.
It's a simple plan but she knows there is beauty in simplicity, in things done right if they must be done at all.
That, she has come to learn too, is the Kiramman way.

Caitlyn goes to the range for the first time when she’s five. It’s something she’s wanted for as long as she can remember. She’s been asking about the rifles over the mantlepiece since she could speak, has watched Mother march her rifle out the back door since she was four and now she’s here.
She sits on the bench under the awning, the ear protection placed tight over her small ponytail, a finely burnished brass filigree set of oak and plush navy velvet.
It matches Mother’s set.
Cassandra teaches Caitlyn to shoot.
