He felt insane. It wasn’t exactly a problem he could share. Anyone else he told would look at him like he was crazy, would probably send him to the doctor even though there wasn’t anything he could do, and the whole universe felt like it was pressing in on him, squeezing him out of his body, out of any definable space, out of life. There was a hole in the centre of him that he didn’t know how to fill, and every day it kept getting bigger.
It was an ordinary Tuesday morning when Ash could no longer pretend everything was fine.
