Bookmarker's Notes
This is wonderful. Also horrible for all of the offscreen death, or onscreen vanishing of people. But mostly wonderful for people coming together and surviving what seems impossible, then going out and moving forward. A great look at a world where Natsume's worlds collide and then merge. I love the details, the fact that the Fujiwara couple refer to each other with -san, the amount of stress that our pov characters fight through, and how withdrawn Natsume is even as he fights forward for the family he's come to adore, also the fact that everyone is completely aware that Natsume will throw himself into danger and that he seems to think he's the only one allowed to do so.

Summary
"We're going to be alcoholics by the time we're thirty," Sokka sighed.
"You think we'll live to be thirty?" Zuko asked, honestly thrilled. Sokka had pretty good instincts. Perhaps Zuko should reevaluate his long term goals. He could start by having long term goals.
A more likely alternative was that Sokka was just a hopeless optimist. It just went to show, you never truly saw another man until you stood shoulder to shoulder against a fleet of war balloons intent on raining death upon the city you loved.
Zuko was just a normal guy with normal interests. He liked theatre, burglary, crotchety ostrich horses, watching the Blind Bandit crush her opponents in a glorious display of skill and violence... just your standard banished prince things. It wasn't his fault he kept stumbling into rebellions and uncovering long-buried secrets. Fine, maybe freeing the prisoners was on him, but he was completely innocent of all other treason. Zuko was his father's loyal son. He'd never betray his nation.
Or:
Uncle Iroh took a more creative approach to fostering Zuko's appreciation of other cultures. Now it's everyone's Problem. -

Theodore Nott did not believe the hype about Harry Potter.
And then Potter summoned a corporeal stag the size of his trust issues. Now the stag won’t leave, Potter won’t stop rambling, and Theo might be developing a completely manageable, definitely-not-deranged fascination.
It’s fine.
He’s fine.

Absolutely worth it. The whimsy! Poor Theo having internal meltdowns as his worldview gets knocked about. Harry being chaos incarnate, if completely unintentionally so.

Summary
Dabi pulled out the old wilted rindous and laid them down beside the vase before carefully passing the fresh flowers from one hand to the other, shifting his grip on the windowsill, leaving his body vulnerable to the unforgiving laws of gravity for a brief moment.
He tucked the flowers into the vase and gave the still figure on the bed one last glance before getting ready to shimmy back across the ledge.
He had just shuffled away from the window when fingers as cold as his own suddenly wrapped around his wrist. He spun his head so fast he nearly lost his balance, but the grip on his wrist kept him steady against the wall.
Steely grey eyes latched onto his as Rei Todoroki leaned halfway out the window, holding onto him tight.
"Touya."
