He froze, staring at Jon, Jon who looked years younger than he had just seen him. His hair was still short and neat, just like his clothes, and there were no dark circles under his eyes, even though he looked tired. Jon looked so achingly human, and he suddenly knew (not Knew) that the Jon in front of him was not the Archivist.
After the final confrontation at the panopticon with Jon, Elias gets sent back in time or at least he assumes so.
