Mo Ran’s shizun’s had made a jab at the nature of his soul; forever scheming and vengeful. That might’ve been true, yes, but it didn’t mean Rong Jiu had deserved the hand he was dealt.
Plenty of bad people were born into power and lived lavish lives. If Rong Jiu wanted to live a peaceful life but be vindictive on the side as a hobby, that was nobody’s business but his.

Mei Hanxue hummed and pulled again, this time rather harshly. Xue Meng felt himself move more than he had with his wiggling but came to an abrupt stop when his hips met Mei Hanxue’s crotch, and the man stopped attempting to move him anymore.
A sense of foreboding filled Xue Meng. “...What are you doing?”
“Mengmeng looks so cute like this.” Mei Hanxue gave his waist a light squeeze. “If I’m to rid myself of this view, I’d like something in return.”
Xue Meng decides to try his hand at mechanical arts, his goal being a sort of instant support beam that will help civilians evacuate during fires, and minimize the damage. By some miracle, he manages to make something work. Instead of acting as intended, the mechanicus traps him when the Mei Twins come to his "rescue”.
