Charles didn’t doubt that others would rather be in this position but he can't blame anyone but himself. He chooses to nod in agreement, not trusting his voice at the moment. He continues to let Mattia lead him through the halls of the school, his heart racing in anticipation. Who is it that wants to meet him? Why do they want to meet him and what will come from this meeting?
The pair stop in front of Mattia’s office, the man turning Charles to face him. “You don’t speak unless asked. Do exactly as you are told. This is a very important opportunity for us.”
Charles straightens himself, doing his best to calm his racing heart and come off as poised and elegant. Exactly as he was trained. He comes face to face with a man that he has been warned about since he arrived here.
