Seeing how death is almost inevitable in the endless raging war between the Plants and Zombies, Zomboss creates a "cautionary heir" to take his place when he perishes under the might of their floral enemies.
Now its the present day. The events of PvZ 1, PvZ 2, and PvZ 3 have all passed and since then his heir has grown up in top secret, hidden away in the depths of his lab. But the secrecy of the his heir lays at stake when she has the bright idea to sneak out of her quarters to exact an (albeit early) revenge on her father's arch nemeses.
What happens next? Only time will tell.

Summary
Humanity, the gardeners of plants. Having grown plants and spreading seeds since agriculture began. Crazy Dave, the father of plant-kind. Blessing them with sapience, intelligence, and freewill. While humanity is capable of and has cause harm to nature, they are just as capble to protect and heal the environment. Humanity overall is a species with a lot of potential, able to achieve both feats of greatness and absolute atrocities.
Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to save them from the undead horde.
The plants have not seen another human for years. The war against the zombies has grinded into a stalemate as morale pummelled. They kept searching for them however, hoping that there are survivors. But each time, they turned in empty handed. Things looked hopeless.
Then, an expedition towards uncharted territory brought them great news. They found one, alive and well. It was the best thing they could have ever heard in their lives. Everything started to look more bright and hopeful, there's a chance for a turn around.
Unfortunately, working with this human is proving to be a challenge. Giving the plants painful migraines and instilling terror upon the zombies.
His name is Stanficent the Human.

Summary
Hallownest is a breathtaking long-ruined Bug Kingdom, sprawling with ancient lore, treacherous landscapes, and dangerous foes. The very place oozes with mystery and myth.
It just so happens this magical fantastical domain is right in the backyard of some Human kid named Dewi. And through some crazy and nonsensical adventure (i.e the comic), he's come to find out about the kingdom of said bugs. With Hallownest's Ghost and Hornet, he somehow defeated the Radiance only a week ago!
Things were looking up, except for his constant sneeze and sniffy nose... but his Dad said it's tree allergies. So it's probably fine!Dewi's happy to think that...until he ends up waking up in the body of a bug and shoved splat in the middle of the Hallownest Kingdom. Unsure, scared, and very confused, Dewi sets out to find his bug friends and reverse whatever curse has been laid on him, while making some new friends in the process.
