Summary
Catherine Willows is about to begin her second year of school at Las Vegas State University. She's just moved into a house off campus with two of her friends when a girl she meets in the freshman dorm she's helping decorate for orientation week catches her attention.
There are a few strange things about Sara Sidle. First of all, move-in day is still over a week away, and no one is supposed to be here yet. Secondly, she's wearing long sleeves. And a scarf. In Las Vegas. At the end of August.
