Summary
Bucky Barnes was married once, before he went to war. She followed him overseas, as a nurse, not just to help in the war effort but to make sure that her love would make it home to her. But things never went to plan, and soon, their best friend was gone from her life too.
They never expected to see each other again, all of them believing the others to be lost to the sands of time. But life hardly ever goes as expected. What will their reunion bring?

“You fucking heard me. I’m so sick of this shit. I keep getting flack for the things I do when all I want to do is help people!”
“Help people? Does it look like you helped people?! Look around you Rook! Half the Shadows are dead or on their way there. The city is covered in blight! The Venatori have taken over. How have you helped anybody?!” Tarquin yells taking a step forward, towering above Rook in his anger.
