Izuku’s voice shook as he spoke, tears trickling down his bloodless, freckled cheeks. “But it’s my dream.”
All Might shook his head. “Find a new dream.”
In that moment, something cracked and shattered inside the boy, something deep within him that could never be repaired again. Years of ridicule from his peers and his teachers and family and friends and strangers on the street and worst of all…Kacchan, all flashed before his eyes like a torturous movie reel.
They had all been right.
A darkness formed in Izuku when All Might told him that someone without a quirk could never become a hero. He changed, and certainly not for the better. A rage blossomed within him the likes of which he had never known before. His dream of becoming a hero died in that moment, and from the ashes, a new aspiration was born--revenge.
