Chapter Text
“Ummm, Nezu, Dad, sir, why am I here?” Midoriya sat down on one of the three chairs in Nezu’s office and clasped his hands together in front of him. It seemed like forever ago when he was nervous just being in this room. Well, when he was really nervous.
“Cutting to the chase, I have need of your services again.” Nezu replied, sipping his never ending tea from behind his desk.
Midoriya ran a list through his head of what that could mean. “Do I need to find blackmail on someone again? Because although it’s a useful skill Apparition isn’t really supposed to do that and even just thinking about it makes me uncomfortable,” he paused. “I mean unless they’re a villain, then it’s fine. But last time it wasn’t, so I figured I should ask.” Midoriya rambled and Nezu chuckled.
“Actually, this is about the League of Villains.” Midoriya sat up straighter in his seat and a spark lit behind his eyes. The League of Villains was Midoriya’s new project of late, him trying to figure out where they were located and who were involved with them. And then give them some payback.
“..oh. What do you need D4? Do you have any more information?” Nezu’s grin changed into one that signaled mass destruction and put his china cup down. Izuku gulped.
“I need you to infiltrate the League of Villains.” Nezu answered and Midoriya choked, before immediately starting to object.
“Wh-what?!? I don’t think I can do that. Like, I don’t think it’s physically possible for me to be able to do that. For one, I don’t have enough physical abilities to do that, and two, they know me!” Midoriya’s eyes were wide as he frantically tried to dissuade Nezu.
“I don’t mean that you should meet up with them, but I want you to be an informant in the underground. Once you get in you will start by collecting info on major grudges and territory battles going on in the area. You won’t be in the immediate group of the League, just someone who sells quirk information to interested parties. And you will use what you have learned to pit villains against each other with the information you are selling. Not only will this help to take down important villains but you’ll be able to build a name for yourself and keep updated on the League’s happenings.” Nezu smirks and Midoriya can’t really see an issue with that.
“That's..really genius actually.” Midoriya replies and Nezu nods.
“I’m glad you agree. Of course, it’s also useful that you weren’t seen in the Sports Festival or the training camp because this allows us to ensure that no one knows how you think and can connect the dots.” Nezu expanded on his idea and Izuku frowned a bit.
“Well, at least me missing the training camp finally has a use instead of just leaving my classmates to die.” Pain flickered in the student’s eyes as he hunched in on himself. Nezu left his chair to put a comforting hand on his ‘son’s’ arm. “I mean, I know it would be useless for me to attend anyway, seeing as I don’t have a quirk, but I still wish I was there.”
“No one knew that that was going to happen, and, I hate to say it, but even if we did you wouldn’t have been much help. You can’t take people down with your mind alone. Unless you’re telekinetic, but that’s a whole different idea. But in any case, no one died, so it all turned out fine.” Nezu patted Midoriya’s head and moved to go back behind his desk.
“I maybe could have figured out they were going after Todoroki though.” Midoriya countered, not moving from his hunched up position.
“It’s not your job to figure these things out. If I didn’t catch it, then you wouldn't either. Plus, you helped get him back so I think you should call it even.” Nezu hopped onto his chair and poured more tea into his cup. Midoriya let out one more sigh, before focusing back on what his father figure needed from him.
“So, let me get this straight, you want me to fuel the fires between villains and get them to take each other down while feeding information to you.”
“Yup. You caught on quick.” Nezu answered.
“How exactly do you expect me to get this information or even be able to pass out information?” Midoriya waited for a response, but Nezu just shrugged.
“I assumed it would be online, but you might want to ask some of your villain friends. Viper, perhaps?”
“Hmm. I don’t know if he still has connections though. Maybe I can set up a website or some form of delivery? Break into people’s places to give them flash drives or notebooks of info? Or maybe I can set up an email through my incognito computer. Ooo, or maybe I can get friends on the inside to drop info?” Midoriya dissolved into a mumble puddle as he continued to imagine the possibilities to his new assignment.
“Alright well I’d suggest heading back to the dorms to set up a pin board and work on this.” Nezu interrupted and Midoriya stopped talking.
“Right! Alright thanks Dad I’ll get right on this.” He was about to leave when a thought came to him, “By the way, am I supposed to not turn in any villains I find while doing this?”
Nezu thought for a moment before responding. “Individuals, drug busts, and trafficking activity is fair game but don’t turn in any clients, more hidden or obscure villains. You don’t want to be put on a watchlist. Oh! And make sure not to get caught by Aizawa or Yagi.”
“Got it. Another question, why is there a squirrel in the vents?” Midoriya asked.
“Hm,” Nezu looked up from the papers he just placed on his desk, “oh, him. I named him Tony. He seems to be harmless, but please don’t mess with him too much.”
“Um, right, sure, understandable, have a nice day.” With that, Midoriya dragged his chair over to the vent opening and started to unscrew it. He had just stuck in his head when he screamed and fell onto the ground.
“The fucking squirrel. The fucking squirrel was staring at me, dead in my eyes. That was the scariest fucking thing I have ever seen and I hate that you’re laughing at me because I would like to see you win against that monster.” Midoriya said all of that in one breath while Nezu cackled at his pain.
“Are you saying that I, a super genius, would lose against a squirrel that lives in the vents.” Nezu laughed and Midoriya pouted.
“Yes, did you see that thing! You would very much lose!” He crossed his arms, but made no move to get up from the floor.
“Sure.” Nezu stopped laughing and went back to reading his papers.
“Wait, how am I supposed to leave, because I’m not going back into Tony territory.” Midoriya asked.
“You could leave through the door like a normal person.” Nezu deadpanned and Midoriya groaned.
“But that's … normal, and boring! So screw that!” Midoriya mumbled and instead walked over to the window that still didn’t have a lock on it. He quickly opened it before Nezu could react and threw himself out of it. “Bye D4!”
“Why did I raise an idiot?” Nezu sighed and turned back to his paperwork.

Chapter Text
“Yo Mido, why did Nezu want to see you?” Kirishima popped out from the kitchen and asked his friend as Midoriya entered the room.
“Oh, no reason really. He just wanted to make sure that I was keeping up with my hacking skills!” Midoriya bypassed the common room and began making his way up the steps to his room. A few more people stopped him on the way, to ask the same thing as Kirishima, but he gave the same answer to each and quickly made his way into his new room.
It’s weird, I’ve moved so many places this past year. From my mom’s house, to Nezu’s then to Tsuckachi’s, and now the dorms. Ha, I bet I could have even stayed at Dadzawa’s if I wanted to, but that’s Hito-chan’s area and Tsalty had custody over me anyway.
Now that no one was pressuring him over what his father figure wanted, Midoriya quickly pulled out his phone and started to text Viper.
You Meet the Weirdest People When You Get Arrested
Innocent: hey Hiro i need info
Guilty: About what?
Innocent: ur villain days
Innocent: sorry if its an uncomfortable topic but its for a good cause
Guilty: it’s fine. What do you need to know?
Innocent: how to create a villain webpage
Guilty: … wut?
Innocent: yeah
Guilty: I’m not even gonna ask
Guilty: It depends on what the goal of the webpage is
Innocent: i need to become an informant for the villains
Guilty: what are info are you going to give?
Innocent: only info about other villains
Innocent: any ideas
Guilty: some
Guilty: are you going to be in any danger from this?
Innocent: no
Innocent: they shouldnt even know its me
Guilty: good
Guilty: i’ll send you a link to a couple
Innocent: thanks ur the best
Guilty: no prob
Midoriya had just transferred the links to his computer when his door was slammed open and Shinso walked in. Quickly, Midoriya closed his computer and spun around to face his friend. I’m not sure if Hito-chan’s allowed to know what I’m doing, but I think it’s safer to assume no. Ugh, and I’m going to have to hide this from Dadzawa, Tsuckachi, and All Might. It’s like Apparition all over again!
“Hito-chan! What are you doing here?!” Midoriya launched out of his chair to wrap his arms around his sibling’s neck. “How’s Kaminari!?”
Shinso stumbled back a few steps and batted Izuku’s hands off of them. Once they were detangled from their ‘brother’ they responded..
“Hi Shinso, so nice to see you. It’s not like I care more about your boyfriend than you. No, no, asking how you are is definitely a priority of mine.” Shinso mocked Midoriya, using a high-pitched and whiny voice. It didn’t even phase the green-haired boy, he just kept smiling and waiting for an answer. Shinso sighed.“He’s fine. Anyway, I was here to ask what Nezu wanted.”
“Ugh, that’s all anyone wants to hear!” Midoriya spun away from his door and flopped onto his bed. “All he wanted to know was if I’d been keeping up with my hacking skills!” I hate lying to Hito-chan. It makes me feel so guilty, but I don’t want them to be caught up in any of the chaos this assignment could cause.
“Hey, it’s interesting! Plus, for all we know it could have been another vigilante thing!” Shinso replied and dragged Izuku’s chair over to his bed and sat down in it. Haha that’s ironic.
“One, informant. Two, I have no need for secrecy anymore, I can just tell Dadzawa and Tsalty anything myself now.” Midoriya sat up and bounced a bit on his bed. “Speaking of Apparition, I did just put another gang in jail! They were such idiots, one of them would make the cameras fuzzy when he passed to try to hide them, but then all I had to do was follow a line of fuzzy cameras. It was super easy!”
Shinso laughed, “maybe for you! The rest of us don’t exactly have access to every electronic device in the world.”
“Yeah, but you guys have quirks.” Midoriya countered and Shinso smirked.
“Oh yes, I see it now. Hero brainwashes ground to tell them where a group of thugs went. Or maybe, hero uses quirk to get information out of someone that they didn’t even know about. Yup, definitely have a leg up on you.” Midoriya pouted at that answer and laid back down on his green sheets.
“You have Dadzawa teaching you stuff! And Past Mic!”
“So did you, before UA started.” Shinso pointed out and celebrated his victory.
“I-, well, you know what, you suck.” Midoriya couldn’t find something wrong with that statement, just like Shinso knew would happen.
Silence reigned, but it wasn’t awkward. Being pseudo-siblings the two had gotten a lot closer, and sometimes just chilled in each other’s rooms without talking. This time, though, Shinso seemed to want to continue the interrogation. “Anything new with the League? I mean, it’s cool if there’s nothing, I was just wondering.”
Midoriya sat up, “Nothing. It sucks. They’re good at covering their tracks.” Then he turned to face his best friend. “Why do you ask?”
“Dad is really stressed out about the League ever since they kidnapped Todoroki, and I want to help in any way possible. Plus, if I give him information before you do I might become the favorite child again.” Shinso spun the chair they were sitting on in a circle and then laughed at Midoriya’s face.
“I have never been the favorite child. Maybe when he didn’t know who I was, but I think I give Dadzawa an aneurysm every other day.” Midoriya chuckled and remembered all of the times that he jumped out the vents or window and made Aizawa threaten to kill him.
“I beg to differ. I think Dad’s used to all of your shenanigans by this point, so that doesn’t negate any favorite child points. Also, you arrest villains and have been since you were super young! I think that makes you the favorite child.” Shinso pointed out.
“I don’t think arresting villains counts.” Midoriya commented. “Plus, you’re at least going to arrest villains the legal way. Thus you are the favorite child.”
“Still wrong. But, I know you’re at least Nezu’s favorite child.” Shinso replied.
“I’m Nezu’s only child. So that makes me the favorite and the least favorite child.” Midoriya countered.
“Still makes me right.”
“Shut up.”

Chapter Text
And here I thought that villains were supposed to be subtle and hidden in the shadows, AND YET I HAVE SPENT TWO FUCKING SECONDS ON THE FIRST PAGE OF GOOGLE AND FOUND 10 VILLAIN AND GANG GRUDGES! WHAT THE FUCK! Midoriya thought as he walked to his classroom. He had google open on his phone and a bunch of newspapers about villain and gang wars had immediately popped up. I did not expect this shit to be so easy.
The first step for Midoriya was to set himself in the middle of a gang war. You know, like normal people do. If I can have two sides using my advice, then I could probably get recommended to other villain organizations and such. Midoriya quickly skimmed through a couple newspaper articles, keeping pages up that made it seem like the gangs were connected but not too dangerous to get involved in them. He didn’t want to be killed without getting anywhere even if he was anon.
Midoriya looked up from his phone for a second to make sure that no one around him was watching. Then, he activated the incognito software he programmed into it and went to his texts to find some of the links Viper sent him. Again, making sure that no one would see what he was doing, Midoriya opened one of the links and began reading through the information on it.
Please Enter Your Name: __
Giant letters covered the opening page of the website and Midoriya frowned. Damn, I bet they need me to enter a villain name so they know who I am. But I don’t have a villain name. Ugh, what am I supposed to do in this situation?
Midoriya kept staring at his phone, but no answer popped up at him. I mean, I could make one up, but what if they look elsewhere and see that it’s false! You know what, I might as well give it a try.
Please Enter Your Name: Wraith.
Immediately, the background changed and Midoriya was let into the server. Most of the info was encrypted with a code, but he figured it out pretty early on and ran the website through an automatic translator.
Apparently, there was a villain already named Wraith, so that’s why it let him in. Wraith had been missing for a couple of years, but no one bothered enough to put a safe guard on his log in. Huh, good to know. Must have been a big shot in the underground if they were that confident that he’s alive. I’m just glad that I could keep my ghost theme and get in.
Now that he had access, Midoriya quickly started to look through to see what he could find. It seemed to be an organization contact website that listed jobs and up and coming villains. There was even a mention under some titles of their enemies as to not create conflict with workers.
Wait, the League and Shie Hassaikai are enemies? Damn, that’s literally everything I could want or need at only a small cost. My life. Yeah, no.
Still, keeping his options open, Midoriya didn’t close the tab right away. While he changed tabs he finally reached the door to his classroom. He quietly opened it and sat in his seat, totally blocking out the rest of the world. Now that he had the website, it was time to cross-correlate the gangs/villain organizations he had found and check if they have any jobs open.
Going back to the first newspaper article he found, he skimmed the article until he found a name he could search. Molly’s Boys. Maybe they do stuff with drugs? Eh whatever, I might as well start with them.
He quickly typed the name into the search bar and waited for the screen to load. While he was doing it, he got a text from Shinso.
Sib from Another Crib
Purple: why are you staring at your phone
Purple: is it another assignment?
Green: no just lookn threw some stuff
Green: it never hurts to be prepared
Purple: that’s true
Purple: and once again your grammar is atrocious
Green: im so offended rite now
Green: also plz tell me when class is starting
Purple: don’t worry, I got you
Clicking out of the chat, Midoriya looked back at the available job options in Molly’s Boys. Omg, the name. Why are villain names always so weird. Ahhh, that’s such a terrible name. None of them were very interesting; they were mostly for bodyguard or theft jobs or other stuff that Midoriya had no skills at. Until suddenly a headline caught his eye.
Looking For a Skilled Thief or Kidnapper to Capture Subject $1,000,000!!
Subject is known as a four year old girl located with the Shie Hassaikai. Risk Level: A
Pardon me, but what the fuck! These villains are going to try to get others to kidnap a girl! That’s a whole new level of villainy. And why the fuck is a four year old girl in the Shie Hassaikai!?
He would have continued his mental breakdown if Aizawa hadn’t walked in to start class.
Sib from Another Crib
Purple: it begins
Green: thank
——
He didn’t get another chance to continue his work until he got back to his dorm later. After convincing Shinso to give him some space to work he pulled out his rolling cork board and began to print and pin up different info he had found.
Using blue for rivalries, green for alliances, and red for potential jobs and places he began to research and string together most of the villain organizations in the area.
At around 6:30 AM he finally took a seat and admired his work. Damn, when Nezu said this would be beneficial and easy he wasn’t kidding. I can’t believe I never thought to do this before!
His thoughts were interrupted by his phone buzzing.
Sib from another crib
Purple: hey you didn’t have dinner
Green: oop ma bad i was busy with some dad stuff
Purple: fine but you’re not missing breakfast so get down here
Green: fiiiine one sec
Opening his phone he saw that he still had the job offer from earlier open. He clicked on the tab and opened up to the offer again.
Looking For a Skilled Thief or Kidnapper to Capture Subject $1,000,000!!
Subject is known as a four year old girl located with the Shie Hassaikai. Risk Level: A. If found, contact (xxx)-xxx-xxxx for more information. If you call but don’t have the girl, expect to be missing a few fingers afterwards.
Who the hell would order this?! What four year old girl is so important that both powerful villain organizations want her? Midoriya kept staring at the screen. Well, I guess that’s what I should find out.

Chapter Text
“What do you mean we can’t rescue her!? If other villains and the Shie Hassaikai want this little girl then it’s probably a good idea for them not to have her!” Midoriya screeched at Nezu while pacing back and forth near the door he barged in through a few seconds ago.
“We don’t have enough information right now. We can’t just try to take down the Shie Hassaikai without knowing why we are.” Nezu replied calmly.
Midoriya stopped to stare at him. “She’s four. She’s fucking four. NO FOUR YEAR OLD SHOULD HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS SHIT! IT’S UP TO US TO HELP HER! WE’RE HEROS!!” Midoriya looked like he wanted to punch something, but instead went back to pacing back and forth.
“We don’t even know if she’s there by choice or not. I’m not taking the chance that us heroes might become accidental kidnappers.” Nezu retorted, not even phased by his ‘son’s’ anger.
“She’s four! Did you not hear that! She wouldn’t know better! And she’s called Subject! How clearer can it get?” Midoriya yelled, angry that Nezu was so easy going about this.
“We don’t have any information right now. I’m not sure I’d be able to get other heroes involved because we also don’t have any information about this girl.” Nezu countered, but even he looked guilty about what he was saying. “I’m sorry Izuku, but I don’t think it’ll work out.”
“Don’t give me that bullshit.” Midoriya’s tone darkened. “We raced off in a second to rescue Todoroki with less information than we have now. We didn’t even know where he was. And also, your sad excuse that heroes won’t help us on this, is a load of crap. If they won’t help us take down a powerful villain organization and save a little girl, then they don’t deserve to be heroes.”
“Midoriya, don’t let your emotions get the best of you. I know you want to save her, but we don’t have all of the facts at this moment. You just heard about this from a dubious at best website. There’s nothing we can do right now, and you know that”
“Fuck that.” With that, Midoriya whipped around and stalked out of the door.
“Huh, he finally went out the door.” Nezu commented, and sipped his tea.
____
I can’t believe that Nezu would say something like that! That’s terrible! She’s four, she’s so young and has probably been put through so much. … I … I can’t deal with this right now. With that thought in mind, Midoriya walked faster and quickly made his way towards his room.
Slamming the door far too loudly he took a seat at his computer and thought for a moment. I could always just do it myself! I could get her out only using my brains! Become Apparition once again and take down the people who need to be taken down until I get her out. Okay, I need a plan.
“So, what do I know. ‘Subject’ is a four year old girl who is a valuable asset to the Shie Hassaikai. She must be very protected as her existence is obviously not that well kept of a secret. And I have to help her.” Midoriya paused. “But, again, she must be super protected. There’s no way I could get anywhere from the organizations I have listed,” he sighed. “I’m not really going to do this am I?.. Dammit I totally am.”
Opening a text chat to the informant he’d seen when browsing through the ‘dubious at best’ website, he typed out a quick offer and sent it.
“I was going to be careful, but at this point screw trying to be cautious. There are children and friends mixed up in all this and I’m not letting this crap go on any longer.”
Unnamed chat
Giran: I’ll see what I can do
While he was on his phone, another text came through.
Sib from Another Crib
Purple: hey, is everything okay?
Purple: i heard your door slam
Purple: it was pretty loud
Green: nah im gud
Green: ima bit stuck on a case so i got annoyed
Purple: okay then
I’m so used to lying to everyone, so why does it hurt so bad now. Midoriya sighed and leaned back in his chair. Oh well, they'll understand when they learn.
Purple: come down, Satou made snacks
Green: omg omg
____
“I would kill a god for these cookies.” Mina moaned as she lay down next to the couch.
“I would like to see you try.” Kaminari shot back at her.
“You know I would.” Mina replied as she reached for another. Shinso smacked her fingers away and grabbed it instead. “Noooo, not the cookie.”
“Ha, snooze you lose.” However, instead of eating it, the purple-haired child gave it to Midoriya. Midoriya was sitting on the packed couch, reading something.
“Thanks,” Midoriya shoved the cookie in his mouth, but didn’t look away from his book.
“No problem.” Shinso answered, squeezing in the spot next to him. “Though I’m kinda surprised you didn’t get one for yourself.”
“Ugh, I know. I just remembered that we’re going to have a pop quiz tomorrow in art so I decided that I should study now.” Midoriya replied after having just swallowed his cookie.
“WE HAVE A WHAT!?” Uraraka screeched. This got Midoriya to look up from the textbook.
“Oh, did you not know? Yeah, Midnight-sensei is giving us a surprise quiz tomorrow.”
“How do you know this?” Yaoyorozu asked, even as she was sneaking to read over Midoriya’s shoulder.
“I, accidentally, might I add, hacked her email and saw her bragging about it to Dadzawa, I mean Aizawa-sensei.” Midoriya moved so Momo could see the book better and for an instance everything was quiet.
“SHIT!”
“Language!”
“I’m going to fail!”
“How do you accidentally hack into someone’s email?”
“Thanks Mido, we owe you!”
The common room quickly cleared out, everyone grabbing a couple of cookies while the sprinted from the room. Soon only Shinso, Midoriya, Iida, Todoroki, and Yaoyorozu were left in the room.
“Study buddies?” Shinso suggested.
“Study buddies.” Everyone replied.

Chapter 5: Yamada Hizashi
Summary:
Some fun times in Midoriya's life
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
“This week has been hectic! Even with Izuku not giving me villains, I’ve arrested almost fifty civilians in these past seven days! I mean, some were because of simple and harmless crimes, but even then, that’s a lot.” Tsukachi banged his head on the dining room table and Midoriya, Shinso, and Dadzawa laughed a little.
“Is it just a random week of crime or do you think there’s something else going on?” Eraserhead asked, ever the suspicious one.
The detective shrugged. “You never know I suppose. But I’m just guessing it’s just a strange week.” Then he paused. “But this isn’t the time to talk about work. Ever since Izuku has moved into the dorms I haven’t seen you guys that much. How have you been?”
At that moment Present Mic threw the door open. Aizawa was half-standing, arm reaching towards his neck as the Loud Hero yelled, “I’m BAAAAACK~! And with dessert!” Eraserhead sighed and sat back down earning a laugh from Shinso.
“You were ready to attack your own husband!” They cackled, making Dadzawa glare at them.
“Wouldn’t be the first time I’m guessing,” Midoriya added in, smiling. Present Mic nodded with that statement, showing that he was right in that assumption.
“Anyway!” Yamada said, swinging his bag around. “How was school for you kiddies?”
The two siblings shared a look before turning to glare at Aizawa who was supporting a shit-eating grin. “Logical ruse.” They deadpanned in unison. Aizawa’s cackle was Nezu worthy.
Tsukauchi sighed. “Will you stop torturing your children Shouta.”
“Never.”
Past Mic chuckled before pecking his husband on the lips and taking a seat at the table. “Well I think it’s good for them. Builds character!”
“Okay, I understand that nowadays trauma and character building are the same thing but can we get a pass? And Todoroki..and maybe Yaoyorozu who’s already perfect as she is.” Midoriya joked.
Aizawa snorted. “No can do. It’s too much fun.”
“Why do I trust you..?” Izuku sighed, dropping his head on the table. The group laughed again, but Midoriya’s chuckles were interrupted by Izuku’s phono buzzing. Turning it on he saw the new update.
Unnamed chat
Giran: I’ll meet you in two days. Six am. At XXXX.
Izuku stared at his phone in shock for a moment before setting up a reminder. I need to figure out how to play this. I can’t just say “hey give me Shigaraki and the Shie Hassaikai’s number instead of meeting up” obviously. However, it could be a test or something.... Ugh, I don’t know what to do. I mean, he doesn’t know anything about me yet so there’s probably going to be some of that. I’ll bring some villain analysis maybe? Would that work? What if-
“ -ku. IZUKU!”
“Huh?” Midoriya looked up to see his family giving him a mix of confused and concerned looks.
“What’s up..?” Tsukauchi asked.
“OH! Oh it’s nothing!” At the unconvinced looks he got he continued. “No seriously it was just something Nezu asked. He was giving me some info. I..can’t really tell you about it..”
“Oh..okay..”
“Haha sorry.. anyway what’d you get for dessert?” With that the mood lightened a little and they dissolved back into light conversation. Izuku missed the concerned and suspicious looks he was getting from Shinso and Aizawa.
——
Arriving back at the dorms later Midoriya noticed that only the guys were in the common room. “Uh where is everyone else?”
“Sleepover. Momo’s room I think. Tokoyami and Ayoyama are there too.” Todoroki responded from where he was watching tv upside down on the couch.
“M’kay, thanks.” He responded before heading toward the girls side of the dorms.
“Yo what’re you doing?” Shinso said, popping up next to him.
“I wanna ask the girls to teach me how to do makeup.”
“...I’m sorry what..?” Shinso looked like he had just told them that he wanted to kill their cat, well, Shinso’s cat. Technically it isn’t Midoriya’s… yet .
“I’m interested, what can I say?” I can’t exactly tell them I want to change my face to look feminine for the meeting..
“Fine, you’ve convinced me. I’m going too.” I … didn’t try to convince them. Maybe they want to keep an eye on me? Oh well.
“That’s the spirit!” Izuku smiled at his sibling. Then Todoroki also appeared next to the duo.
“Sorry, I overheard your conversation. Do you think they could teach me how to cover up my scar?” Todoroki questioned and Midoriya felt the sadness rise up in him.
“I’m sure they would be happy to.” Midoriya replied, and shared a look with Shinso. They too looked sad at Todoroki’s question.
“Yeah, the more the merrier.” Shinso answered. “I mean, if they accept any of us to begin with.”
“They’ll definitely accept you. I think this is a no boys zone, for now at least, so you would be allowed in.” Midoriya commented and Shinso shrugged. Todoroki smiled a bit at the back and forth which made both of the siblings feel proud. They both felt like Todoroki needed a happier time, especially after the attack and kidnapping at the training camp.
Way too soon the trio arrived outside of Momo’s room. They exchanged a nervous glance before hesitantly knocking on the door. Almost immediately the door swung open to reveal a fancily dressed Uraraka.
“Um, hi? What are you guys doing here?” She asked, confused.
“Um, you see, the thing is…” Midoriya started, looking between Shinso and Todoroki for help. Thankfully, Shinso stepped in before their brother could make a fool of himself.
“We were wondering if we could join you for makeovers.” Shinso deadpanned and Uraraka’s eyes widened.
“Oh, um, let me check. I’ll be right back.” Uraraka closed the door and the group could barely hear a conversation taking place behind it. Wow, these rooms are more soundproof than I expected.
After a bit, the door opened again, but this time Tsuyu was the one there. “Come on in, kero.” She spoke up and the trio hesitantly entered the fancy room.
The floor and vanity were littered with nail polish, makeup, and various other mini torture devices. The girls were all wearing their nice outfits and it looked like Ayoyama had even borrowed something from Momo. Their friends all watched as the three of them took a seat.
“Okay so I was hoping you could teach me how to do some makeup stuff and maybe some...drag? Idk maybe it would be cross dressing? Or cosplay? Um, yeah.” Thankfully the others weren’t too weirded out by Midoriya's request. Actually they look pretty eager to do this..huh.
“Yes! I’ve always wanted to see crossdressing in action!” Toru shouted
Suddenly he was face to face with a very interested looking Momo. “Okay so the most important things about make up when it comes to women, and anyone really, are eyes, lips, and cheeks. You can also to contour and eyebrows and all kinds of fun stuff but those are the basics. Are we doing the whole shebang or just simple stuff?”
“Uhh, simple? I want to make myself look like I’m a girl, maybe older too, 20 ish?” Izuku responded.
“Hmm, okay! I’m not even gonna ask why. We are non judgemental in this room.” She said as she turned the boy's face in her hands. He caught a glimpse of Jiro assisting Todoroki, and Shinso who was actually doing their own makeup over in the corner.
“Okay so you have fantastic skin, I dunno how you do it with the amount of stress you’re always under and your frankly terrible eating and sleeping habits, but whatever. I’m just gonna go straight to your eyes.”
She spent the better part of the next hour or so explaining mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, blending, and wings to him. Doing one side and having him practice on the other. She then moved on to showing him lip lining and minor contour techniques.
“Your face is very naturally feminine Midoriya. You look really good!” Yauyorozu said as she stepped back to admire her work. Looking at the finished work in the mirror they were using he was shocked and kind of freaked out to see how much he looked like his mother.
“I kind of look like my mom..” The room stopped at the little reminder of her. They didn’t know most of the story but they knew she was out of custody of him for what she had done.
“Sorry?” Momo responded, not sure how to act.
“Oh! No it’s fine! I guess in this case it’s a..good...thing? I dunno it’s not that big of a- wooooah.” He stopped as he saw Todoroki. The boy was scarless and was sporting blue and red eyeshadow and sharp wings. The others also turned and began to gush over his face as the two of them stared at each other.
Coughing lightly he turned away and met Shinso’s knowing gaze. The purple haired child wiggled their eyebrows until Midoriya frowned. ‘Shut up’ Midoriya mouthed, and Shinso took that as a sign to reply.
‘Seems like someone has a crush’. They replied.
‘I will murder you in your sleep’ Midoriya countered. Shinso just smirked and went back to doing their makeup

Chapter Text
I should probably feel worse about this than I do. Midoriya thought as he stole makeup from Yaoyorozu’s room. But it’s a necessity at this point so… I guess I’ma just steal this.
Midoriya quickly ran through the hallways, hoping Iida didn’t hear him and try to berate him for it. “I really should have come up with an excuse for why I need this makeup before I went and stole it. Too late now I guess,” He muttered.
Thankfully, Izuku got to and went inside his room before anyone noticed he was gone in the first place. Dumping the supplies on his bed, he pulled out a backpack to start packing what he would need. Okay, I need a laptop, obviously, and some trackers? No that’s stupid, if they find those the whole operation is down. I should also bring my phone, but with a different case. I doubt they’ll like my All Might one. What else? Oh yeah, a first aid kit. A good one.
While he was thinking, Midoriya went around his room to gather all of the requirements. He picked up his old laptop, still good, but replaceable and without all of the hacks he programmed into the new one. Then he rummaged through his first aid drawer until he found his most in-depth first aid kit. He put the two in his backpack and started to figure out his story.
“Well, my name is Wraith, or Akatani Mikumo, if they asked for it, and I’m the old Wraith’s protege. Hold up, isn’t Mikumo a boy’s name? Eh whatever, I doubt they’ll ask. Cool, is that all I need?” He paused and racked his brain for anything he could be forgetting. “Oh shit! I need a quirk! Probably a technological one? But am I good enough with technology for it to be like a quirk? Probably not. Oh what the hell I’ll just ask Nezu.”
Unnamed Chat
Midoriya: hey if i were to have a quirk what would it b?
Midoriya: be specific plz
Midoriya: i need this soon btw
Nezu: Come to my office before school tomorrow. I’ll have it written down by then.
Midoriya: thx will do
Nezu: Also if you text your contacts like this we’re going to have an issue
Nezu: By that I mean you will lose all of your contacts
Midoriya: …
Midoriya: i will dont worry
Midoriya: but i still feel offended
With that in mind Midoriya went on to the next order of business. He plugged him phone into his computer and began to upload all of the contacts on it onto his computer. That way if the meeting goes badly his dads have a way to access who he was talking to and take them down. While doing that he noticed a file on his phone.
“Huh, wonder what that is.” Midoriya clicked on the file and it opened up to a list of potential villain hideouts. “Woah, I remember this! I can’t believe I still have it on my phone!” The list was from about 4 years ago, when Midoriya didn’t have the means to confirm the locations. He checked the time left in the upload and it read one hour remaining. Well, I do have time to look through these again.
He clicked on the nearest cameras and watched them while waiting for the upload to be completed. In that short hour, Izuku had confirmed that seven out of the eleven potential sites were villain hideouts.
The Ghosts Who Smile Back
Apparition: yo yo yo i got news for you
Dadzawa: What?
Apparition: 3dng80n
Apparition: thats 7 hideouts
Apparition: theyve been active for around 4 yrs
Tsalty: You’re sure?
Apparition: not about the yrs part but they r active
Tsalty: Aizawa, how soon can you be at the first one
Dadzawa: 10 minutes
Tsalty: Got it. See you there
Tsalty: Thanks Izuku
Apparition: np dad
Well, that was satisfying. I hope the information I gave will help them. Just then Midoriya got another notification from his phone.
Sibs From Another Crib
Purple: I’m coming to your room
Purple: so you better be there when I get there
Green: chill im here
Green: but y
Purple: :)
Green: im concerned
Purple: :)
A few seconds later Midoriya’s door was shoved open and Shinso spun into the room. They made their way over to Midoriya and gave a creepy smile.
“Hi Hito-chan. Why exactly are you here and smiling like you're about to kill someone?” Midoriya cautiously asked. The smile grew larger.
“Someone has a crush~” Shinso sang and Midoriya grew pale.
“Nope. Not a chance. That is a lie and you are a liar.” Midoriya tried to move away from his sibling but they latched on his arm.
“Mhm. So you weren’t blushing when you saw how pretty Todoroki looked with makeup.” Shinso replied.
“I was not!” Midoriya agreed.
“So you don’t think he’s pretty.” Shinso continued.
“No, well, I mean, he is pretty, but that doesn’t mean anything. Everyone thinks he’s pretty!” Midoriya had by then realized that he had dug himself into a hole and was trying, and failing, to get him out of it. “You know what, I’m going to call your boyfriend and make him make you leave.” Shinso didn’t even seem phased by the threat and instead allowed his brother to do so.
Shinso Support Chat
We Stan Hito-chan: get your SO out of my room
We Stan Hito-chan: soon plz
<3 Shinso: umm k. I’m coming
This time, a knock revealed a presence outside of Midoriya’s room rather than someone kicking down the door.
“Yes, come and take your significant other away! They won’t stop bothering me!” Midoriya screeched and the door opened and Kaminari stepped in.
“Babe, what are you doing?” Kaminari asked and Shinso smiled.
“Nothing. I’m only interrogating my brother about his crush~” Shinso replied and Kaminari joined the creepy smile club.
“Oh, do tell.”
“Nope. You betrayed me. I refuse to be ganged up like this!” Midoriya rushed out of the room while Shinso and Kaminari laughed behind him.

Chapter 7: Giran
Summary:
Midoriya makes a stupid decision that turns out okay
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
Midoriya looked over the paper one more time. Quirk: Code Vision. Whenever I look at something on a computer or any other type of technology I am able to see the code of it. Not easy to disprove. Thank you Nezu! Although, this is maybe more information than I needed. I don’t think they’re gonna ask whether it’s annoying whenever I watch TV. Still, never hurts to be prepared I guess.
Time had flown quickly, almost two days passing in the blink of an eye. Now it was time for Midoriya to go and meet Giran. Or, as everyone else thought, go train with Nezu for the evening. Something about learning the city maps or some shit like that. I’ll have to recheck my alibi with him once I get back.
Izuku slipped out of the dorms as quietly as he could. He cringed at the feeling to the makeup shifting on his face and had to stop himself from itching and picking at it.
Turning to make sure no one had seen him leave he started to make his way to the location Giran had given him. Two trains and a short walk later he stopped in front of an abandoned warehouse. First time in the field, this’ll be fuuuun.
Slipping through the break in the planks boarding the building shut he stepped into the dim, dusty room. It was dark enough that his eyes had to adjust even though he’d just been outside in the dark.
He was startled by a voice coming from the back of the room. “Well hello there..Wraith. Care to explain?”
Giran stepped out of the darkness, so dramatic holy shit, and lit a cigarette to aluminate his face. Like I get he’s a villain, but what’s with the ominous shit.
“Explain what, exactly?” Midoriya changed his voice in his best interpretation of a female voice and hoped it worked. That along with his blouse and floral skirt made him look like a pretty convincing girl.
“The fact that you are not who you say you are.” Giran continued, not moving a muscle.
“I think you are confused. Although I may not be the Wraith you thought I was, I have taken up their mantle. So, is that an issue or not?” Midoriya retorted. I’M GOING TO FUCKING DIE!! THIS WAS A TERRIBLE IDEA!!
“... no, of course not.” Giran stepped forwards and pulled out a phone. “Now, I’m going to record this conversation and then send it to the higher ups. Is that okay with you?”
“Of course, but might I ask why you are telling me this?” Midoriya stepped back a bit, both confused and concerned.
“It would hurt my reputation to hide these trivial matters from a client.” Giran answered and hit the record button. “Now, Wraith, why did you decide to take this job?” Is... is this a job interview?
“I was interested in the fact that a little girl was so important that multiple people wanted her. I felt that my skill sets would be useful.” Midoriya replied, trying to keep his voice calm and not externally freak out.
“Ah, what skill sets?” Giran questioned, while slowly walking around Midoriya. The young boy quickly turned to make sure he was always facing the villain.
“I’m an accomplished hacker.” Midoriya answered, making sure to keep his answers short so that he wouldn’t give too much away.
“And why would that help us kidnap a little girl?” Giran kept pushing Midoriya, but Izuku wasn’t about to lose this chance.
“I’m not saying that I’d be able to steal her myself, but I can get you the Shie Hissaki’s floor plans and quirk information. For a price of course.” Oh god, I hope I’m doing well.
“Of course. Well, that’s all I need to know for now. I’ll contact you if they decide to use you.” The villain disappeared back into the shadows and Midoriya heard a door open and close.
Holy shit, that was one of the most stressful experiences of my life! Let’s hope it was worth it. Midoriya turned around and made his way to one of the other doors in the warehouse. Once outside, he accessed the cameras nearby and made sure that no one was following him. No one was.
Hightailing it as fast as he could to the nearest store, now very glad he decided on sneakers, Midoriya quickly locked himself in the nearest non gender specific bathroom and got out the makeup wipes. I don’t want to go into UA grounds looking like a girl. That would be super embarrassing, especially if someone catches me. If they catch me looking like me, then I just have to use my cover story from Nezu. Walking around in the evening wouldn’t be the weirdest thing he’s made me do. After about ten minutes of trying to make sure he was looking like himself, Izuku changed clothes and left the store.
As he walked towards UA, the student flipped through the cameras he walked past on the way to the store and made sure that it wasn’t obvious that he and the “woman” entering were the same person. Magically, it wasn’t, especially since another guy with green hair had entered the store earlier and had not left when Midoriya did. If someone was just skimming through the footage, it would probably look like they were the same person.
It only took about five more minutes of walking before Midoriya was in front of the gates of UA. He did not have his ID with him, just in case Giran or someone else wanted to really see who the hell he was, but Nezu was hopefully watching the cameras and would let him in. He did.
At that point, it was easy goings. All Midroiya had to do was walk into the dorms, grab a piece of dinner, and get into his room before he had a mental breakdown.
I was going to die, oh my god I was going to be killed. Why the hell did I think it was a good idea to interview with Giran! That’s so stupid. Not to mention the fact that I probably left a million clues about myself and my identity. Yeah, I should probably clean that up.
Unnamed Chat
Izuku: not sure i need it but can i have some help cleaning up some footage
Nezu: Of course. Better safe than sorry.
Nezu: I’ll see what I can do.
Sighing, Midoriya ate off the plate he brought up without much emotion, typed a good night to Shinso, and collapsed in his bed, asleep. It was only 8:00, but a lot had happened.

Chapter 8: All Might
Summary:
Class 1-A is placed in a stealth exercise.
Chapter Text
“WE’RE GOING TO DO ANOTHER BATTLE SIMULATION!” All Might shouted into the classroom and the entire class cheered. “HOWEVER, IT WILL BE A LOT DIFFERENT FROM THE LAST ONE, AND AIZAWA IS EVEN HERE TO HELP OUT!” Aizawa sighed but did not leave the room. Huh, he’s never joined a battle simulation before. Either this is going to be a lot of fun or we’re all going to die horrific deaths at the hands of our teacher.
“TODAY’S EXCERSISE WILL BE A STEALTH OPERATION!! YOU WILL HAVE 5 MINUTES TO HIDE AND THEN IT WILL BE UP TO AIZAWA AND MYSELF TO FIND YOU IN THE ALLOTED 30 MINUTES!” The class alternated from excitement to poorly hidden horror. Midoriya himself was excited. This is exactly like what I did before coming to UA.
“So, this is everyone versus you and Aizawa-sensei?” Midoriya asked and All Might nodded. “So we can work together then.” He looked a little more confused, but nodded again. With that in mind, Midoriya sent a quick text to the class group chat to tell everyone to meet up with him right before the exercise started. He quickly got back texts of agreement from the whole class. How do they all text so sneakily? It took me years to learn.
“Anyway, are there any other questions?” Aizawa asked and everyone shook their heads. “Great. Get changed into your costumes and meet me at Ground Gamma. You have ten minutes.” With that, their teacher walked out of the door, All Might following behind.
Everyone quickly followed their teachers, not wanting to make the simulation any harder than it was already going to be by being late.
“So, what do you have in mind?” Shinso asked as they jogged with Midoriya from the changing rooms. Both teenagers had become masters at the art of changing quickly and were already done.
“Well, we’re gonna be in Ground Gamma right? A fun fact about Ground Gamma is that it has a bunch of secret tunnels underneath it. Basically a bunch of bunkers and secret passageways. I should be able to hack into them so we can all get in and then change the passwords they require so Aizawa can’t. And even if he does get in we can always keep moving and I can keep changing the passwords and such.”
“But what if All Might teams up with Aizawa and smashes through the doors?” Shinso asked and Midoriya halted for a second before catching up to his sibling.
“Ummmmm. Good question. I have a basic idea of what we should do, but we should ask our classmates for other ideas as well.” Midoriya replied and Shinso nodded.
“You just want to hear Todoroki talk, don’t you. Because you have a crush~” Shinso commented and Midoriya tripped on nothing.
“That’s not it at all!” Izuku spoke up, flustered. “And even if I did have a crush, which I don’t, there’s no reason that I would want that! That’s just weird!”
“Oh my god. You’re so flustered. It’s funny.” Shinso cackled and Midoriya punched him.
“Shut up. I don’t even have a crush. I just thought he looked pretty with makeup, that’s it!” Midoriya retorted and Shinso snickered.
“Sure.” The brainwasher and his friend walked through into Ground Gamma at those words and Midoriya hoped that would end the conversation. Sadly, Shinso wasn’t done. “Just so you know, most crushes begin with physical attraction.” Midoriya growled and moved to attack his friend, but a voice stopped him.
“You said you had a plan, kero?” Tsuyu and a group of girls walked up to the siblings and Midoriya halted his attack.
“Yes, but I shouldn’t talk about it here. Aizawa-sensei could hear.” The group nodded and kept walking.
As they waited on the rest of the class to join them at the Ground, Midoriya could hear All Might talk to Aizawa.
“Are you sure that this exercise is a good idea?” He ‘whispered’. Aizawa looked at him funny and nodded. “Well, I mean, not a lot of students have good quirks for something like this.”
“So they just shouldn’t learn?” The funny look turned into a glare.
All Might rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. “Well, if you have to be hiding from a villain, then you shouldn’t really be fighting them in the first place! If you know your strength, and who you can fight and win, then you wouldn’t have to be running away or hiding.” The glare gets worse.
“You qualify stealth and knowing how to hide as running away? As if underground heroes don’t do this everyday. As if the one thing that can make a mission go awry can just be the villains knowing you’re there. This is a skill that needs to be known. Right now they will learn to hide. Then they will learn to sneak around. It’s one thing at a time All Might. You can’t just tell them to sneak around and for them to immediately know how to do it.”
“Well, yes, of course, but most of these students will not be underground heroes. So why would they need to know it?”
“Because it’s useful! And they should have a well-rounded skill set. Do you even hear yourself?” Aizawa, not wanting to hear anymore of All Might’s bullshit, did a quick head count and saw that everyone was there. “Alright! I’m opening the gate now. You have 5 minutes to hide. Go!”
The gate opened and the students quickly ran through. Then, for about 30 seconds, they all ran away from each other so it looked like the classmates were splitting up. Once everyone was back where they started, Midoriya explained what was going to happen.
“Yeah I think that’ll work.” Jiro whispered at the end. “Especially if Shoji and I work together to listen for anyone coming near.” Everyone nodded in agreement.
“But what if All Might tries to smash through the bunker walls?” Shinso brought up the point he talked about with Midoriya.
“Well, I hate to be this person, but since it’s the best plan we got, I say we go to the tunnels and deal with the little stuff there. We’re wasting time just sitting here.” Kirishima butted in. Realizing that, yeah, just sitting there wouldn’t do anyone any good, the heroes-in-training started following Midoriya into the underground tunnels.
By the time they got to a good room to stop in, and Midoriya had changed all the passwords and such, they still had a minute left of time.
“You guys ready?” Midoriya asked.
“You bet!” The bunker filled with quiet cheers and Midoriya smiled.
“Well, then let’s begin the wait,” and with that he shut the open door.
Chapter 9: Ground Gamma
Summary:
End of the simulation.
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
As soon as the door closed it was like a dam broke, chatter filling up the room. Mostly about what to do if All Might decided to say hi. Deciding that it might help his fellow students, Midoriya took out a map he had stored in one of his pockets, a map of the underground tunnels and bunkers, and put it in the middle of the room.
“Figure out our escape options.” He said before turning back towards his tablet. After several seconds of typing he had the Ground Gamma cameras up, moving from one to the other and programming his computer to immediately show any camera feeds that have motion.
“Okay, do we have escape plans set up?” Hearing Midoriya's voice, Yaoyorozu lifted up the map for him to see the different colored lines going throughout the map, some of them winding around in no discernible pattern, and some of them showing a way to go to the surface as quickly as possible. “Wow, that looks fantastic. Great idea making the highlighters Yaoyorozu. Also, I now have the cameras for Ground Gamma up, so we have their ears,” he pointed at Jiro and Shoji, “and my eyes. I think we got this!”
Quiet cheers filled the air along with beeping from Izuku’s phone. “Alright that’s the end of the timer. Everyone be as quiet as possible, the simulation starts now.”
It was strange to hear all the noise stop suddenly. Midoriya was used to there always being some sort of background noise, whether it be chatter or just leaves in the wind, but, with it being underground, there was none of that. Now they just had to wait the teachers out, or have one of their back up plans work.
Suddenly, the quiet silence was broken by, surprisingly enough, Todoroki. He started to hum Secret Tunnel under his breath and the entire room slowly turned to stare at him. Jiro joined in without looking up, followed by Tokoyami, Midoriya, and Shinso. Soon enough, the five reached the chorus and everyone who had joined the humming parade, except for Todoroki, started to belt the lyrics.
“SECRET TUNNEL! SECRET TUNNEL! THROUGH THE MOUNTAIN, SECRET SECRET SECRET SECRET TUNNEL!” They then dissolved into laughter, ignoring the confused stares of their peers.
“Aren’t we supposed to be quiet?” Uraraka asked and Shinso replied with an eloquent ‘oh shit’.
____
“THEY’RE FUCKING COMING!” Kaminari screeched while looking at the computer screen. The group had lasted 20 of the 30 minutes, around half of it being spent on Aizawa attempting to get All Might to check roofs and the tunnels while the underground hero explored the ground and inside of buildings.
Eventually the two had come to an agreement and found the nearest entrance to the mass of secret tunnels, a large open pipeline halfway across the area.
Midoriya clapped to get everyone’s attention. “Okay. Once they get here,” he pointed at the map, “we’re going to begin scattering, take to the buildings, roofs, anywhere obvious. Seal yourself in a room if you want to, but it’s All Might so it won’t really matter. Stay low, listen closely, step lightly, got it?”
There was a chorus of responses and the lookout group took to watching the screen intently. After another five minutes the teachers made it to the checkpoint, having had to move slowly in the dark passages to avoid sneak attacks and check the tunnel maze thoroughly, as well as break through and decode numerous doors.
The class quietly checked their escape plan and began to move out, fanning out in every direction. Iida, Sero, and a few other students made their way outside and up to the roofs where they could be mobile. Kaminari, Jiro, Hitoshi, and other students with hand to hand quirks hid in the buildings on various floors. Izuku and Momo decided to stay in the tunnels and moved in their own directions, setting traps and cutting off entrances as they went.
“HIDING IN THE DARK IS FOR VILLAINS, TRUE HEROS STAND UP AND FIGHT!” All Might shouted as he walked closer and closer to where Izuku and Momo had broken off, and Midoriya had never been happier that he wasn’t that close to them. His sigh would have given him away.
“I envy everyone you’ve never met.” Aizawa groaned loudly next to him. I pray for him every second he has to work with the star-spangled-skeleton over there. Turning on his heat vision he watched as the two teachers moved closer to where he sat. Moving backward he began to walk further into the maze, checking behind him frequently and watching his tablet to make sure he didn’t get stuck.
You underestimated your students, and because of that we shall win!
Omg that sounded so cheesy and cliche.
____
Because the tunnels were so long and winding, it took both teachers 5 minutes to scour the entire thing. Which meant that the students only had to stay hidden for another 5 minutes. During those five minutes, Class 1-A got a pretty good system going. Midoriya, now on a rooftop, was periodically updating everyone else on the teacher’s location. Whenever the two went to a certain area, the classmates would evacuate and go as far away as possible.
Now this didn’t always work, especially when Aizawa and All Might decided to start running, but the class figured it out. If they got really close to where someone was hiding, that person would tell the group chat and everyone would help them figure out an escape plan. So far it had worked perfectly, no one had been found.
Midoriya looked back at his screen, where only Aizawa was shown, the two teachers choosing to split up, since they hadn’t found anyone yet. Eraserhead was looking slightly more annoyed than usual, most likely because he was wandering around the Ground without finding anyone, but if you looked hard enough you could see he was actually very proud. I bet he thought he would have found someone by now.
Suddenly, an alert popped up on his tablet’s screen. Movement in Area 2741. Quickly switching to that screen, Izuku could see All Might walking through an alleyway. Specifically, if he remembered correctly, the alleyway Mina was hiding in.
Class 1-A
Midoriya: mina dont make noise i think all might is in your alleyway
Uraraka: Where is he?
Midoriya has sent a location
Yaoyorozu: Oh yes I believe that is where Mina is, but don’t worry. I don’t think he’ll find her.
Kirishima: why not?
Yaoyorozu: Well, she asked me to make some construction tubing for her to hide in and pretend to be a part of the architecture.
Midoriya: wow i think i see her
Midoriya: lmao all might just walked past her
Mina: HAHAHAHAH NeVeR UnDeReStImAtE My GeNiUs
Shinso: Don’t try that with Aizawa tho, he knows that those are in the infrastructure of a house, and not outside of it
Yaoyorozu: They can be outside of the house as well.
Shinso: Not often enough for him not to check if it’s a person.
Beep beep beep. Midoriya quickly looked down to see the exercise was up. Or, at least his phone’s timer ran out. Putting his technology down, the boy stood up and cupped his hands over his mouth.
“THE EXERCISE IS OVER MOTHERFUCKERS!! NO ONE WAS FOUND!” At his statement he could hear whoops of joy and laughs coming from all over the Ground. He even heard Iida shout an annoyed ‘no cursing’ and Aizawa’s groan.
“Yes, congratulations. You all get hundreds for the day. You have to get back to class in 15 minutes..” Their teacher turned around and walked out of the grounds and most of the students followed him.
“That was epic.” Shinso commented once they caught up to Midoriya. “I can’t believe it worked.”
“Same.” Midoriya replied and went to go get changed.

Chapter 10: Shinso Hitoshi
Summary:
The ‘siblings’ have lunch and Izuku gets another update from Giran.
Chapter Text
After the simulation, Aizawa decided to have a group discussion about it. “Can anyone tell me why they think that no one was caught?”
Sero raised his hand. “Well, you spent a lot of time going through the buildings and such while the entire class was underground.”
“Exactly. We wasted about 20 minutes of time scouring the Ground, looking in places you guys weren’t. Then, once I figured it out, we both had to look through the entirety of the tunnel system. If you guys had all split up and not gone underground, what do you think would have happened?”
Sato answered this time, “Most of us would have been found. You guys had to start a 20 minute search all over again with only about 5 minutes left.”
Aizawa nodded. “Yes. But this is not to say that it was only luck that allowed no one to be caught. Quite the opposite. You all worked very well together and it was that teamwork, not luck, that made you all pass the exercise. Keep that in mind for further things like this.” He looked around to make sure that everyone was paying at least a little bit of attention. “Dismissed, go to lunch.”
Shinso and Midoriya immediately started walking together towards their favorite lunch tree, until Midoriya’s phone started ringing. The boy ignored it, until Shinso pointed out that whoever was calling was calling during school, so it might be a big deal. Midoriya agreed and pulled out his phone, blanching.
“Are, you okay? Is something wrong? Who’s calling you?” Shinso tried to peer around their brother to see the contact name, but Midoriya quickly started walking away from them and out the doors.
Izuku practically ran to a quiet location, making sure no one was there, and answered the phone. “How can I help you Giran?” He asked, his voice sounding a lot more steady and nonplussed than he felt.
“Wraith. My employers were intrigued by your resume, and your answers. But you don’t have the job quite yet. Not until you pass their test.” Midoriya’s face paled even more, not that he though that was possible.
“Of course. Can you send me an email about it? It doesn’t seem quite… safe to be talking about this over the phone.”
“Gladly. You should get a notification from me soon. Through the app. Oh and by the way, if you don’t respond within 24 hours on whether or not you’ll do it the offer will be terminated.” The phone call ended.
Totally numb through fear and nerves, Midoriya walked towards his sibling, making sure to plaster a smile on his face until he actually felt like he meant it. Once he reached Shinso, he hoisted himself into the tree and quickly made his way to a comfortable spot. He then met Shinso’s gaze, and even though he couldn’t have been gone for more than 2 minutes, Shinso was looking at him very concerned.
“Who was it?” The student asked.
Midoriya lied on the spot, “It was Tsukauchi. I saw the name and I got so worried that something had happened so I freaked out. Nothing had happened though. He just knew it was my lunch time and was giving me an update on one of the hideouts I gave him. It’s been basically dismantled.” Well, it wasn’t all a lie, Tsalty had texted him earlier to say just that.
Thankfully, Shinso didn’t pry any deeper and started to eat, and Midoriya followed their lead and took out his lunch. A little ways into the lunch period he heard a notification from his phone, which he steadfastly ignored. That’s probably Giran, but I have 24 hours to answer it so I’m not exactly going to do that in school. It would be bad if anyone found out.
“What do you think is going to happen later today? Classes wise of course.” Shinso broke the silence and Midoriya pondered the question.
“Well, we’re probably going to begin learning new stuff in Midnight-sensei’s class because we just had that pop quiz. But other than that, I’m not really sure.” Midoriya answered and Shinso nodded their head.
“That’s fair. However, we just finished the early quirks time period in history class, so we might get a quiz soon. Do you think it would be a pop quiz?” Shinso asked, at this point the two students had finished their lunch and was putting it away.
“A pop quiz would be surprising, so I don’t think so. But if we were to be getting one, it wouldn’t be any time soon.” Midoriya replied.
“Thank god. I think if we are given a pop quiz today I would most certainly fail, and I don’t want to fail. If I fail I have to see Dad and Papa’s disappointed looks at me because they’re teachers and don’t understand that failure is an option because they never fail.” Shinso bemoaned and Midoriya laughed.
“You know that wouldn’t happen! One, they wouldn’t be disappointed because they do know and understand failing once in a while, and two, you’re doing fine in history.” Midoriya comforted.
“Okay, one, that might be true, but two, you’re doing so much better in history than me so shut up.” Shinso replied.
“One, I’m glad you agree, and two I’m doing better in almost every class because studying is all I do with my life so I don’t count.” Midoriya countered.
“One, I don’t necessarily agree but I do see where you are coming from, and two, you are still a vigilante, kind of, so studying isn’t all of your life, so how are you so smart anyway?”
“One, you just don’t want to admit I’m right, and two, it’s called sleep deprivation, I can get more done because I have more time.”
“One, that is not true, and two, I’m an insomniac too so by that logic I should be as smart as you!”
“One, it is true, and two, you spend all your time during the night watching cat videos and I’m at my most productive then.”
“One, it isn’t true and we should probably go to class because lunch is almost over, and two, that’s valid and I understand now.”
“One, you’re right on one account, and two, I’m glad you understand.” At that statement, the two teens burst out laughing and began to lower themselves from their perches. “I’ll race you to class.”
“You’re on!”

When Midoriya finally arrived back at his dorm room he was both exhausted and overflowing with anxiety. He knew he had to complete whatever tasks Shigaraki had for him in order to fulfill his job but he was almost too scared to look.
What if they want me to kill someone! Or to upgrade their quirks? Or to give them access to UA? Oh this could be really really bad.
The reminder on his phone to complete the work snapped him from his thoughts. Okay okay, you can do this. Failing to comfort himself he picked up his phone and opened the email.

Izuku sighed in relief at the job. Oh thank god. This is good actually, this gives me an excuse to do a fuck ton of research on these child abusing bastards. Plus if I can get the League to take down the Shie and then take down the League that’s two in one! Where to start.
He spent the next four-ish hours collecting evidence. Okay, yeah, maybe I did hack into Nighteye’s agency but desperate times call for desperate measures. He ended up making his way into the cameras of the Shie Hassakai and used them to analyze and collect the quirk info of as many people as he could find.
He ended up sending a list of the quirks, jobs, and children of over 25 of Overhaul’s members. He also analyzed the fighting styles of the main 8. Sending the info he realized how tired he was.

“We haven’t hung out in such a long time!” Midoriya commented as the last of the group entered Shinso’s room. The group included Midoriya, Yaoyorozu, Tokoyami, Shinso, Kaminari, and Todoroki. Throughout the year the teens had bonded over trauma and bad taste in life skills and became one of the most nonfunctioning friend groups in UA.
“It wasn’t that long ago. We all hung out when we had that makeup night.” Momo replied while sitting down on one of the multiple cat plushies occupying the room.
“Eh, I wouldn’t really count that. For one, there were functioning humans there, and two, Denki wasn’t there so it wasn’t all of us.” Shinso countered, looping an arm around their boyfriend and pulling him closer to their side.
“But we have now gathered together to celebrate the eternal darkness that rests in each of us.” Tokoyami spoke up and everyone stared at them.
“God, I forgot you were such an emo.” Shinso said and Tokoyami looked only vaguely offended by that statement.
“Like you can talk. Before Dadzawa and Past Mic adopted you, you were such an emo as well!” Midoriya called Shinso out on his bullshit and Kaminari laughed.
“Oh, I can believe that! I’m surprised you’re not an emo still.” The boyfriend cackled and the rest of the group cracked a smile; even Todoroki.
“Shut up.” Shinso growled and everyone laughed harder. “Ugh, onto a different topic. What’s up with everyone?”
“Not much other than school, but you guys know all about that.” Yaoyorozu replied. “Although I’m grateful nothing bad has happened recently, it has become a little boring.”
“Boring?! We have a test every day at this point! How is that boring?!” Kaminari screeched and Momo shrugged. “You know what, it’s probably because you’re a genius.”
“I’m not a genius,” everyone groaned at the blatant lie, “it’s because there aren’t tests every day. We didn’t have one this entire week!”
“Which means we’ll have one tomorrow. Just you wait.” Kaminari replied and Yaoyorozu shrugged again, at this point realizing that nothing would change his mind.
“What have you been up to, Midoriya?” Todoroki finally spoke and everyone turned to face him. “You haven’t been around as often.”
“That’s true.” Shinso agreed.
“Well, you know me, I’m off debating the laws of the universe.” Midoriya replied, because he couldn’t exactly say oh I’m working a secret mission for Nezu that will hopefully make the underground destroy itself. So far it’s going badly and all that is happening is I’m being dragged into a fight between two super powers.
“Oh, and what have you found out, oh wise one.” Shinso asked, smirking.
“Humans are animals, therefore there are only two types of people in this world: aces and furries.” Midoriya replied and everyone stared at him. “What?”
“I am concerned about what goes through your mind.” Yaoyorozu spoke up and everyone nodded in agreement.
“Honestly, same. This is my brain right now: off key poorly played recorder begins which cues this horrible kazooing noise. Enter bear stage left. From the depths of hell rise some skeletons boom boxing spooky scary skeletons and breakdancing. The bear walks toward the skeletons. The music stops. The skeletons pelt the bear with kazoos and stab him with the recorders. Exit bear stage right, dead. The cycle continues. There is so much bloodshed. Never has there been a more gruesome genocide. Everything dies.” Midoriya stopped speaking to see aghast looks from his friends.
“What a mad bouquet of darkness.” Tokoyami said, they were the only unaffected one in the group.
“I think what you mean to say is, what the fuck.” Shinso countered and Tokoyami nodded.
“That works too.”

Chapter Text
Ah weekends. My savior. Midoriya was relaxing in his bed, doing absolutely nothing besides staring at the ceiling and thinking. No tests, no quizzes, no school-related things. Wait, don’t I have an essay due Monday? … No tests, no quizzes, no school-related things.
At that moment, Shinso barged into his room. “Hey Zuku if you look over my essay I’ll look over yours.”
“Could you kindly shut the fuck up?” He twisted his head to look at his sibling. “Also, wasn’t my door locked?” They shrug and held up lockpicks. Midoriya just sighs. “I’m like three forths of the way done so… come back in an hour?”
“Nope. Just tell me what you’re doing yours on. I want to compare it to mine.”
The essay was given to them by Midnight a week ago, and it was about how quirks affected art. “So basically, I’m doing mine about this guy, his name escapes me at the moment, who was one of the first people to get an art-related quirk. It was like Paint Photocopy or something, which is a really stupid name so it may or may not be the correct one. Anyway, he could basically look at something and copy all of the details on to a painting, making his paintings the most realistic copies ever created. To add on to all of that, at that point and time most people thought that all quirks were mutation based, or at least obvious, so this guy became a legend for ‘his actual talent.’ Made millions too.” Midoriya finally took a breath and asked his own question. “What are you doing?”
Shinso threw their computer at Midoriya. “I’m doing how the rise of art quirks destroyed the worth at paintings and sculptures and stuff because it wasn’t ‘actual talent.’ Basically all works of art just started becoming super, well, not cheap but they lost a lot of value. It’s kinda cool, because for a long time no one thought that quirk art was real art so it caused inflation of old art and all the artists that gained an artistic quirk basically lost all of their income because no one trusted their work anymore. However, since I’m not going to take the time to tell you everything you are just going to read, I’m just going to shut up now. You know, you should try it sometime. Anyway, read it and edit it. Send me yours when you're done.”
Hitoshi twirled around and swept out of the room with the grace and self confidence of someone who had finished their homework on time. Midoriya, however, lacked that grace because he had stayed up to four am working on Wraith and Apparition stuff, had compiled more information and even sent Tsalty and Dadzawa two villains, and was planning to sleep instead of work on the essay. Alas, I must help my sibling with their work instead . With that, Midoriya opened up Shinso’s computer to see the doc already up.
It didn’t take too long before Midoriya had read through all five pages and changed almost all of them. Ugh, Hito-chan is too straightforward! They need to add fluff and fancy words or else Midnight won’t like it as much. Though, how they got five pages of just plain facts is beyond me. I’ve barely done three pages of bullshit .
Midoriya changed computers and opened up his ignored tab for his own essay. Almost immediately, the boy got sucked into the mindset that is writing a bunch of fancy words with a fact or two every paragraph. In an hour, he was done and he delivered Shinso’s computer to them along with getting a promise that his sibling would look the essay over for him. It was just in time too, because his phone buzzed with a text.
Please don’t be Giran, please don’t be Giran!
Unnamed Chat
Nezu: Please come by my office now
Nezu: I would like to speak to you
____
“Whatcha want?” Midoriya asked as he walked into Nezu’s office. Nezu motioned for him to sit down, but once he did the rat did not set down his cup of tea, which would show that this was a serious conversation. Okay, it’s something important if I have to sit, but I’m not in trouble. Or maybe it’s just gonna be something that takes a long time.
Nezu, knowing that Midoriya picked up on his cues, was able to cut right to the chase. “I don’t expect you’ve gotten much of anything, especially with your Apparition work, but I was wondering if you have a status report. Or if you need to rant to me. I can understand if this is a very stressful task for you and I have two ears that have nothing else to listen to.” Aww Nezu, you do care! I mean, I did know that already since you kinda adopted me, but it’s still fun to see the evidence.
“Well, basically all that’s been done is I’ve given Giran my resume, and I’ve finished the League’s little test.” Nezu nodded. “So all I can do right now is wait.”
“Good. So, what was the easiest thing about what you’ve had to do and what was the hardest?”
Midoriya had to think about that for a couple seconds. “The… the easiest thing was the test. They basically had me do what I’ve been doing with Apparition for years. The hardest thing was meeting Giran, because I had to have a whole ‘nother identity along with trying to please him.”
Nezu nodded again, then remembered something. He reached inside his desk to pull out a medical mask. “This is a voice modifier. If you put it on it will make your voice sound more feminine.” Izuku perked up and looked very excited. “It’s state of the art. And it doesn’t change your voice too much so if you were to ever take it off they most likely wouldn’t notice a change in tone. It’s mostly so you can get them to remember your voice being a little more feminine than it is.”
Midoriya started to thank Nezu and reached over to grab it. The modifier looked just like a medical mask, all blue with the creases, and just as thin. The only difference was that it was a little bit heavier than the average one would be. He quickly put it on.
“Hi, I’m Wraith.” The vigilante said and heard, with amazement his own voice but not. The modifier brought up his tone a little bit and almost added a lilt to his voice. It made him sound pretty confident as well as feminine. “Thank you so much Nezu! This is perfect!”
“You’re welcome. Don’t break it please.” The rat smiled kindly at his ‘son’.
“Heh, no promises but I’ll try!”
“That’s all I ask. Now I have work and you have homework, so I think it’s time for you to go.” With that, Nezu opened his computer and Midoriya scurried into the vents.

Chapter Text
Well, Midoriya began to think as he roamed the vents, I’ve already checked the crying closet and no one was in there, for once, so I guess it’s time to check the teacher’s lounge and find out about all the pop quizzes they’re planning! Midoriya silently moved through the metal deathtraps in a pattern that he had gone so many times before. It only took a moment before the boy could hear his teachers talking, and he slowly made his way up to the vent cover so he could hear better.
“My class is going to kill me one day.” Vlad King bemoaned to his fellow teachers while they were eating lunch.
“What have they done this time?” Present Mic asked and class 1-B’s homeroom teacher just sighed.
“Monoma decided it was a good idea to blame everything on class 1-A again, why does this stupid rivalry exist, and Kendo, being the good student that she is, tried to knock him out because he wouldn’t shut up. However, little did we know that Monoma had copied a powerful repulsion quirk and when Kendo hit him he activated it. Now, three of my students have concussions and two were thrown out the window.” Vlad King recounted and Midnight started to laugh.
“And this is why I’m happy I’m the homeroom teacher for general studies.” Present Mic said and Midnight nodded.
“Same.” She agreed.
“Oh, you think that’s bad?” Powerloader began and everyone immediately knew this story was going to be something else. “I had an active bomb in the room that the builder didn’t know how to turn off and had to evacuate. That’s the third time this week!”
“Damn. That sucks.” Midnight commented.
“You have no idea. Support students are gremlins.” Powerloader added.
“At least they aren’t idiots. Just last week Kirishima fell off the roof with his quirk activated to see how big a dent he could make. Also, I have to deal with Izuku who is the weirdest student I have ever had. He’s smart, a talented hacker, but can’t fight to save his life. And also, he’s almost always where he shouldn’t be. Such as right now. Izuku, get out of the vents.” Aizawa’s statement wasn’t terribly unexpected for the teachers present and they all turned to see Midoriya begin to unscrew the cover to the vents.
“Booo you’re no fun.” He pouted before walking through the crowd to claim a donut from the table.
“Hey that’s my favorite! Can we arrest him so he stops taking our donuts?” Midnight asked.
“If it gets him to stop making me arrest people at 3 AM I’m all for it.” Aizawa grumbled.
“HEY! Rude!” Izuku shouted before taking out his own sleeping bag from who knows where and plopping down on the floor.
“Are you excited for the provisional license exam coming up soon?” Mic asked.
“Not really. I’m quirkless, and am kinda already a hero, so do I really have to go?” Midoriya shuffled down into the sleeping bag in an attempt to escape.
“Darn, I forgot about that actually. Well you can protect Aizawa from Ms. Joke or something.” Mic replied.
“Yeah, she tries to marry him every time they see each other.” Nemuri agreed.
“Pff that’s awful. Dad, have you tried telling her you’re married?” Izuku questioned and his father figure just groaned.
“She thinks I’m lying every time I bring it up. She also refuses to acknowledge the fact that I’m gay. I don’t know what to do.” Aizawa replied from his own sleeping bag.
“Sic Mic on her, see how she reacts. Oh, that reminds me of something I have to do. I’ll be back.” He wiggled to the vent and moved up the wall like a caterpillar before making his way through the passageways.
“Are we sure he’s quirkless?” Powerloader mumbled.
——
Izuku walked into the dorms to the sounds of panicked yelling and a high pitched whistling. Running toward the noise he was shocked to find Todoroki having a panic attack on the floor as a kettle screamed. To make it worse, his classmates were crowding the poor boy. Yaoyorozu was sitting in front of the dual-colored boy, talking quietly, but obviously had never had to deal with a panic attack before. Everyone else was either whispering concernedly, or yelling and panicking. Midoriya immediately broke into a sprint to try to resolve the situation.
“Back away from him!” Izuku demanded once he got close enough. The sea parted, thank god for that, and Midoriya moved to sit in front of Todoroki. “Hey, breath okay? In..and out...In..” He placed his hands on Todoroki’s shoulders and slowly pressed on them, rocking him gently in time with his instructions. “And out..”
Todoroki began to copy his instructions and Midoriya turned part of his attention elsewhere. “Hey, can someone turn off the kettle?” Immediately, Kaminari rushed over and the kettle was quickly chucked out the open window. Not how I would have dealt with that, but it works.
Once Todoroki had calmed down and everyone else had also calmed a little, Izuku spoke again. “You okay..?” He asked.
“Mhm.” Todoroki said slowly, taking a slow breath. “Sorry.. boiling water..” he trailed off.
Izuku nodded and turned toward his classmates. “From now on please make tea in the microwave and warn us when you’re boiling water please.” The group nodded and made noises of assurance, making Izuku smile. Turning to the shakey boy in front of him he gently took Todoroki’s hand and pulled him up.
The two walked silently to Shoto’s room where Midoriya made a move to leave, but was stopped by the cool hand on his. “Please don’t leave..” Todoroki whispered.
Izuku smiled. “Okay.”
The two sat on Todoroki’s low bed. Shoto sighed before speaking. “I’m sorry about that. It just reminded me of..”
Izuku remembered what he had heard when he had interviewed Shoto for Endeavor’s arrest and smiled sadly. “I’ve got it. And hey, no need to apologize. You did nothing wrong.”
“Yeah I guess.” Todoroki took out his phone and pulled up a video of a cat. “Wanna watch with me? It helps me relax..”
Midoriya giggled and laid down. Todoroki followed suit and the two watched until they had both fallen asleep, obvious to Tokoyami using Dark Shadow and Shinsou’s phone to sneak a photo of them.

Giran: be at these coordinates in fifteen minutes
Fuck, I’m in class. Midoriya looked up from his phone to see Ectoplasm droning on about the quadratic formula or some shit. Actually, I don’t really need to care, I’ve learned this all anyway and I can blame my absence on Nezu and he’ll probably go with it.
Giran sent some coordinates
Fuck, that’s twenty minutes away. Why can’t I get a break?
“Um, Ectoplasm-sensei, Nezu needs me. Can I be excused?” Midoriya interrupted Ectoplasm in his teaching and everyone turned to look at him.
“Of course he needs you. Why you even bother to show up to my class instead of just being privately schooled by Nezu is a mystery to me. Anyway, just leave, you don’t need to tell me at this point.” Ectoplasm turned back to the equation and finished it up while Midoriya raced out of class.
“I’m really sorry, I promise I like your class more than Nezu’s. Well, yeah I’m sorry!”
Okay, so I have fifteen minutes to get to some place twenty minutes away after I changed into my outfit and put on makeup. I’m going to be so fucking late.
Midoriya sprinted into the dorms and threw open his door. Oh, I’m so glad Iida isn’t here to yell at me, that would delay so much time. The student opened his closet and pulled out the nearest feminine clothing as fast as he could. Izuku almost fell onto the floor in his haste, but eventually pulled on the clothes and shoes in less than a minute. Then he hurried to his dresser and pulled out some mascara. God, I have never been more thankful that I have a feminine face.
Once the makeup was on Midoriya grabbed his voice changer and sprinted onto his balcony, launching himself off. Please don’t get grass stains, please don’t get grass stains. He then raced out of the nearest exit and checked his phone to see how much time he had left. FUCK, ten minutes left. Welp, I guess I’m going to be at least five minutes late. Not much I can do about it though, so let’s hope they don’t get too mad.
____
“You’re late.” Giran noted, typing away at his phone.
“Fifteen minutes to get to someplace twenty five minutes away.” It’s better not to say twenty in case he links it to UA. And I also took twenty five minutes, so it makes sense overall. “My quirk is tech-based, not speed.” Midoriya snarked back while screaming internally.
“Hmm, I suppose that’s true.” Giran replied and put away his phone. His attitude went from an easy going on to a professional one and Midoriya knew they were about to get down to business. “A portal will open up shortly. It’s time for you to meet your employers.” Right as he said it a misty, purple portal opened up besides them. Well, that’s a sadly familiar thing. Ugh, I don’t really want to go through one of Kurogiri’s portals but oh well.
Midoriya quickly stepped into the portal, not wanted to make the League any more annoyed at his lateness, even though the logical part of his brain was screeching at him. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING! THIS IS THE LEAGUE YOU ARE NOW DEALING WITH! YOU ARE GOING TO DIE! FUUCCKK!
The other part of his brain, the impulsive part, which honestly was the only one he listened to, screamed back IT’S TOO LATE, IF I BACK OUT NOW I MIGHT GET KILLED ANYWAY! However, it was too late for both screaming inner dialogues, because Midoriya was already face to face with the League of Villans.
“You’re late.” What is with evil people pointing that out? “I expect my employees to be on time.” Shigaraki spoke and Midoriya nodded, not wanting to speak in case he said something wrong.
“You’re a girl!” Ha, you have no idea. “Yay, we need more women power here! Omg I haaaave to show you my knife collection. Ahh we’ll have so much fun! Hey, you know what, we should have a makeover sometimes, it’d be fun.” Toga broke the silence with her bubbly personality and Dabi, Spinner, Shigaraki, and Twice glared at her. Omg, that’s a lot of people. I mean, I didn’t expect the League to be my employers, but if I had, I wouldn’t have expected everyone to come and be present at the meeting.
“Now, NPC, what information do you have for me.” Shigaraki brought the conversation back into focus and Midoriya grinned. This is what I know how to do. Midoriya brought out a flash drive from a hidden pocket and held it out towards the leader.
“This contains all of the information you asked for.” Midoriya finally spoke through the voice changer and was surprised at his voice, but didn’t show it.
Shigaraki motioned for Dabi to take the drive and the flame villain stepped forwards. Dabi slowly got close enough for Midoriya to be able to take in almost all detail about the villain, he has red roots, the black must be dyed, and took the drive. He then examined it for anything obviously not supposed to be there, and then set it on the table near where he was standing.
“Great, we don’t need you anymore. Leave. I’ll send the pay later.” Shirgaraki turned away from Midoriya and moved over the the flash drive. Wait, I need more information, I can’t leave now!
“What are you using this for?” Midoriya asked and then blanched.
“You don’t need to-” Korogiri began but his leader inturrupted him.
“What does it matter if she knows. She’s just an NPC.” Dusty hands faced Izuku again and explained. “They have a girl that can turn back time on living beings. They’re using her to get rid of quirks, but we want to control that, so we will. That’s all.” That’s not good, Nezu needs to know of this immediately. However, it does prove that the little girl doesn’t want to be there, no one wants to be experimented on.
“What’s her name?” Again, what is with my brain to mouth filter today?
“I don’t know and I don’t fucking care. Now get out.” That’s fine with me. Hopefully I’ll never have to do this again. At his leader’s command Korogiri opened up a swirling misty portal and Midoriya quickly walked through it; not wanting to spend another second with those villains.
____
“We have to get her out. One, she’s a weapon that we don’t want them to have, and two, she’s being experimented on.” Midoriya stalked back and forth in Nezu’s office similar to the first time he talked to his father figure about this.
“I agree. I’ll talk to Sir Nighteye about this, he’s on the Shie Hissaikai’s case, but other than that we’ll have to see if the heroes agree to join the fight.” Nezu explained and Midoriya nodded and stopped pacing.
“Okay. Though, I bet I could get Dadzawa, Past Mic, Tsalty, and Fatgum on board.” Midoriya added as he finally sat down in one of the three chairs in the room.
“No. Aizawa and Yamada are needed here to teach. However, you are free to tell the other two while I see what I can do to persuade Sir Nighteye.” Nezu brought out his phone and began to set up a meeting with the foresight hero.
“Thank you, D4.” Midoriya replied and Nezu smiled.
“You’re welcome. Now, you are still a student, even though you use me as an excuse to get out of class, so I expect you have work to complete.”
“Ha, yeah. I should get on that. Bye Nezu!” Midoriya scaled the wall and disappeared into the vents as he was prone to do.

Chapter Text
“So, what’d you talk about with Nezu?” Shinso asked as they completed their homework. The two of them were sitting outside on a Ground's lawn, no one else around.
“You mean when I was with him yesterday? He was trying to figure out if I was more open to psychological manipulation on a civilian but I turned him down.” Midoriya shrugged, they had actually had that conversation a little while ago.
“No, I was more meaning when you came back after your meeting with the League of Villains.” Shinso looked him dead in the eye and watched Midoriya choke on his spit. “Yeah, I was walking past Nezu’s office when you were talking about it. Why the fuck didn’t you tell me?”
“I, well, it’s dangerous, and-”
“Like I haven’t been involved in dangerous things.” Shinso retorted, looking madder by the second.
“Nezu told me not to!” Midoriya tried to rescue the situation.
“Nezu doesn’t control you!”
“I know that! But how exactly was I supposed to tell you I’m basically a part of the League of Villains! That I’m probably going to help them even when they’ve made our lives hell!”
Shinso was also stopped. They took a deep breath before speaking again. “Okay, yeah. I get that. So tell me now. What’s going on? What are you apart of?”
Sighing, the vigilante put his papers away and rolled to face his sibling. “I’m infiltrating both the Shie Hassaikai and the League of Villains to hopefully take both of them down from the inside while also rescuing a little girl caught in the middle.”
Shinso gaped. “You’re serious!? That’s insane! So, what have you done so far and who do they know you as?”
“Well, I contacted Giran and he gave me an interview and a test, nothing bad I promise, which was super stressful. But I passed both of them so I finally got a job with the League! They know me as Wraith, a twenty-something woman,” Shinso snickered at that, “with a tech-based quirk. And yesterday I finally got to meet everyone. And by everyone, I mean everyone. Shigaraki, Dabi, Toga, Kurogiri, the whole gang. And I think they liked me! Not that that’s a good thing but it’ll help me.”
Unbeknownst to them, All Might was walking by at that moment. But he was in a rush so he only heard a couple words from Midoriya. “Giran,” he muttered under his breath, “that sounds familiar … well, I might as well ask Tsukauchi and see if he knows him, that’s where I’m going anyway. Although it’s probably just a celebrity.” With that the hero leapt off to meet his friend.
____
“So, Toshinori, have you done anything interesting today?” Tsukauchi asked as the two of them ate. They were both on their breaks and decided to meet up at a cafe close to the police station. It was a quaint little place, with good food and next to no cameras in it. They could speak freely.
“Ah no, it was the same old stuff. Being a teacher is so difficult, although watching my students grow is fantastic. They’ve all learnt so much and I’m sure they’ll be fantastic heroes. Oh, wait, I was going to ask you something. Do you know who Giran is? I heard the name recently and I’m trying to figure out where I know it from.”
All Might watched his friend’s face switch through many different emotions until it landed on a mix between sadness and resignation. “Giran is an... informant to the League of Villains. Well, mostly them. He goes between a lot of villain organizations and sets them up with gadgets, people, or plain old information. He’s very important in the villain community, so even though we’ve caught him a few times but could never keep him.” Tsukauchi answered. “Wait, you said you’ve heard of him? From where?”
All Might didn’t know what to say. He was speechless. So Giran is a big contact with the League? Why was Midoriya contacting him? Unless, the hero mused, we know we have a traitor in our mists. Midoriya is the traitor! It makes sense. He got Giran to get him a job in the League so he could become stronger. I bet he wanted a quirk from All for One! How DARE he do this to UA after everything UA has done for him. I knew Nezu was too complacent with the boy but I never imagined this!
Plastering a smile on his face, All Might started to deflect. “Well, I know I’ve heard the name from you a couple times but I didn’t know what it meant. I was curious.” Tsukauchi nodded, the statement successfully fooling his quirk. Or well, it was true, just not in a specific order. “Oh, what time is it?”
Tsukauchi gave the time and they both realized they had been talking for about an hour. “Darn. Well see you later Toshinori. Have fun with the kids!” The detective gracefully got his stuff and stood up, giving a little bow towards his friend, before leaving the cafe.
Toshinori watched him leave before standing with a dark look. Slamming the door to his car, he drove his way back to U.A. forming a half-baked plan in his mind. He walked quickly to the dorms and wrenched the door open.
The class looked up at him in shock. “Where is young Midoriya?” He asked murderously.
Kaminari looked at him with concern. “Um, his room I think..” he trailed off as he watched All Might storm up the steps toward Midoriya’s floor.
All Might kicked the door open without knocking, startling Midoriya and Shinso who we’re talking inside. “A-All Might? What’s going o- hey!” Izuku shouted as he was grabbed by his arm and pushed through the door. “What’re you doing?!”
“All Might let him go, what are you doing?!” Shinso yelled. All Might continued to pull Midoriya through the hall and down to the common room, ignoring Shinso’s protests. The class all sat up and watched as they passed. Izuku was digging his heels into the floor and banging on the grip around his arm as he was dragged out of the room. Todoroki, Momo, Kaminari, and Tokoyami all stood and ran out after them.
“Sir what’s going on? Where are you taking Midoriya?” Momo asked in an attempt to reason with the teacher.
Toshinori finally stopped and turned, maintaining his strong hold on Midoriya’s arm. “This is none of your concern young heroes, go back inside.”
“Um, I think it is All Might. He did nothing wrong. I don’t understand why you’re dragging him away?” Todoroki spoke up.
“Right! Did Nezu put you up to this or something?” Izuku tried to question.
“I don’t want to hear anything from you traitor.” All Might growled. The group all stopped and looked between the two. “Don’t give me that oblivious look Midoriya, I know you’ve been talking with Giran and giving information to the League.”
The group turned to Izuku with a horrified look. “N-no you don’t understand! I’m on our side! It’s an infiltration!” Midoriya said, panicked.
“Tell that to the police in your interrogation. We’ll see what’s true then.” It’s just like mom all over again.. Izuku deflated and allowed himself to be walked into All Might’s car and taken to the authorities.

Chapter 16: Dads and Bitchass
Summary:
All Might's a quirkest asshole and Midoriya's dads protect the smol bean
Chapter Text
“If you just let me explain this could all be over a lot faster!” Midoriya pleaded as All Might stared him down. The younger was handcuffed to a table in one of the multiple interrogation rooms in the police station.
“There is nothing to explain! You have obviously been giving the League of Villains information in return for a quirk from All for One!” All Might declared and Midoriya sighed.
“THAT’S NOT ANYWHERE CLOSE TO THE TRUTH!” Midoriya screeched and All Might startled. “AND WHY DO ARE YOU DETERMINED TO PIN THAT ON ME!?”
“I overheard your conversation with young Shinso. It explained everything to me.” All Might declared and Midoriya really wanted to strangle him at that moment.
“Okay, but if you are so determined to believe that you understand everything I was talking about, then why isn’t Hito-chan arrested? They were listening to what I was saying and not doing anything! Doesn’t this mean they are just as possibly guilty as me?” Midoriya didn’t want to throw Shinso under the bus, but he was running out of options at this point.
“Shinso is Aizawa’s child. They would never do something this terrible with Eraserhead as their guardian.” All Might explained and Midoriya banged his head on the metal table.
“AIZAWA’S MY GUARDIAN TOO! I WAS HIS SON BEFORE HITO-CHAN WAS!” Midoriya paused when he noticed that All Might wasn’t going to be budged by his completely accurate observations. “I don’t know what quirkest dialogue you have going through your head, but for once in your life can you just listen to me!?”
“Why? All villains lie, you would be no different.” All Might spoke like it was the most obvious fact in the world and Midoriya was now debating whether it would be worth it to dislocate his thumb, get out of the handcuffs, and just flip the table.
“There is an obvious solution to this then. GET TSUKACHI SO HE CAN CONFIRM I’M NOT LYING!”
“Don’t worry, he’s already on his way.” Thank god. At least one of my dads is coming to save me.
“Lovely. Great. How long till he gets here?” Midoriya asked, finally calming down. All Might glared at him and seemed to be debating whether or not to answer the question. Finally, he decided that it wouldn’t harm anyone and answered.
“Around thirty minutes.” Fuck. That’s going to be a long time to wait in a cell with this bastard.
____
“All Might, I came as soon as I could. What is so important that you needed me immediately?” Tsukachi slammed open the door to the interrogation room and Midoriya sighed in relief.
“Hey Dad! All Might is an idiot! Just so you know!” The police officer slowly turned to see his son handcuffed to a metal table with All Might glaring at him.
“What are you doing here?” He asked and All Might answered before Midoriya could.
“I have multiple facts that have led me to believe that he’s the traitor and giving information to the League of Villains.” All Might declared and Tsukachi gave him a look of disbelief.
“... Izuku are you the traitor and have been giving the League information about UA?” The police officer asked and All Might looked like he was waiting for the answer to be a lie.
“No.” Midoriya replied and Tsukachi sighed.
“I knew it.” The lie detector quickly got his son out of the handcuffs and turned around to face All Might. “I don’t know what insane idea was going through your head, but Izuku would never do that.”
“But, I overheard his conversation with young Shinso! He was saying that he was giving information to Giran, who you said works for the League! It all lines up!” All Might defended himself and now Tsukachi looked confused.
“Okay, now I have some more questions. One, why do you think that Izuku would betray us?”
“He could get a quirk from All for One and not have to be quirkless anymore! It makes perfect sense!” The number one hero bashed his hands on the metal table, causing a large crash and the table to bend a little.
“Izuku would never do that. However, why were you talking about Giran anyway?” This question was for Midoriya and he grimaced.
“I think you should call Nezu and invite him to join this lovely talk. We should probably go to his house and I’ll explain there.” Midoriya answered while massaging his wrists to get the soreness out of them from the cuffs.
Tsukauchi nodded and the two of them left the interrogation room. Midoriya was already calling Nezu, not wanting All Might to call first because who knows what he would say. Nezu seemed very put together during the call, but Izuku could hear just a touch of anger, thankfully, not at the vigilante. The call was over by the time the two got to Tsukachi’s car outside the police station, so now Midoriya was stuck trying to figure out what to say.
“Please believe me, I’m not doing anything that could possibly harm any students or staff of UA!” Tsukauchi was in the middle of turning around, probably to say something comforting, when his face screwed up.
“Lie.”
Freaking out, Midoriya went over his words to figure out where he lied. “I promise I’m not doing anything that could harm any students, besides me, or staff at UA.”
Tsukauchi shook his head as he tightened his grip around the steering wheel. “That doesn’t make me feel any better Izuku. You shouldn’t be in harm's way at all, and while I still don’t know what’s going on and why you were talking to Giran, I do know that he does a lot of things that aren’t illegal. So if you can just try to stick with those okay? And if you’re asking for Nezu, I also know that this is definitely a project from him.” With those words he turned the keys and started the car.
Midoriya sat in the back, both relieved and anxious, because while Tsalty wasn’t mad, what he was in was definitely not legal.
The drive was fairly short, and not much happened in it, besides a word here or there. When they finally got to Nezu’s house, they saw that All Might was already there, along with Eraserhead.
The two bombarded them as soon as they walked through the doorway.
“Tsukauchi, please tell All Might he’s being idiotic. PLEASE! Literally do anything to make him shut up about ‘Midoriya working for All for One to get a quirk.’ I think I might die if he says another word about it.” Aizawa pleaded.
Before Tsukauchi could say anything, Nezu jumped in. “Well,” he clapped his hands, “I’m sure you all want to know what’s going on so let's sit down and cut right to the chase.”
As they sat down Midoriya had to ask. “How did you find out about this D1?”
“Hitoshi,” was his answer. Ah, they must have told them about my being arrested.
Finally they were all settled around the living room table, and Nezu nodded towards Midoriya, telling him to start talking.
“Well, I’m guessing not many people are going to like my answer to why I’ve been contacting Giran, but the reason is I’m infiltrating both the League of Villains and the Shie Hassaikai to take them down from the inside, or at least turn them against each other, and also rescue a girl being experimented on.” Jaws had dropped. Both Aizawa and Tsukauchi looked like they were torn between being impressed and disappointed. All Might just looked like he didn’t believe the boy.
Tsukauchi soon got a hold of himself and slipped into detective mode. “So your goal is taking them down, helping this girl, and nothing else?” When Midoriya said ‘yes’ he replied with. “Truth. Well, that’s all you need to be here for All Might. Izuku is not lying so he cannot be arrested, and because you did such a thing I would like you to leave so we can talk with our son.”
All Might didn’t look as sheepish as he should, but it was there, so Midoriya counted it as a win. Hopefully that’ll make him think twice before going and accusing people of stuff just because they don’t have a quirk.
Once the douchebag left, Aizawa asked. “You mentioned a girl. What do we know about her?”
Midoriya quickly explained how he found out about her presence and thus why he decided to go all in with the League. Aizawa was a little mad that Izuku didn’t decide to take the infiltration slow, but the hero always had a soft spot for children, so he understood. Tsukauchi, on the other hand, was super mad that Nezu was asking this of Midoriya.
“You can’t just expect a child to single-handedly take down two huge villain organizations!” He argued. “It’s not safe. Izuku is already doing enough as Apparition, plus he needs to be focusing on school. UA is a very academically fast school, and while I’m sure that he’ll be fine in his studies, he still needs to have a social life. Why can’t you just let him be a teenager?”
Nezu started to open his mouth but Midoriya cut in. “One, he didn’t ask me to take those two down, it just kinda happened. Two, My friends have already been attacked by the League twice, and one of them was kidnapped. We have nightmares, and are looking over our shoulders all the time. I want to be a teenager as much as you want me to, but that won’t happen unless we take down the League. And if the Shie Hassaikai comes down with it then what’s the harm? If I do this then not only do I help society as a whole, I also help my friends move on and be teenagers.”
The adults sat dumbfounded, but they all saw where he was coming from. USJ, the training camp, and the mall incident all proved to their students that no where they went was safe, not even UA.
“We’re helping.” Aizawa said. His tone gave no room for disagreements. “If possible I want a camera, or com, on Izuku every time he goes anywhere close to Giran or the League, with at least one person besides Nezu watching it. If those are not possible then I want a transcript of everything that goes down in those meetings, as close to word for word as possible. And, if at any moment we can take Midoriya out and do the final steps with trained heroes and police officers, I want us to do that without any hesitation.” Tsukauchi voiced his agreement.
For the first time that night, Nezu smiled. “Welcome to the Wraith Project.”
Chapter 17: Dabi
Summary:
Midoriya goes back to the dorms and has an interesting conversation with Todoroki.

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
“FREEDOM!” Midoriya screeched after finally being able to enter UA’s grounds after having a long and emotionally draining conversation with all of his dads. They can’t undo what’s happened, but they can try and make it safer for Izuku. It was really nice that they obviously cared.
“Izuku! You’re back! How did everything go?” Shinso was waiting at the gates for their brother and immediately attacked him with questions. “Why was All Might arresting you? Are you in trouble? Is it okay that I told Dad about it? What was that even about?”
“Calm down! I can’t answer all of these questions at once!” Midoriya smiled at his sibling and began to walk towards the dorm with Shinso following him.
“Okay, for one, everything is fine and I’m not in trouble at all. Apparently, All Might heard our conversation and assumed that I was the traitor because he’s a quirkest asshole. However, D2 came and everything got sorted out with his help. The bad part of that is, now Tsukachi and Dadzawa both know about the Wraith Project and are kinda mad at me for not telling them.” Midoriya finished his speech and Shinso snickered.
“Kind of mad. I’m sure they were furious.” Shinso commented as they neared their living courters.
“Well, yes, but they took it better than I expected, so I’ll count that as a win.” Midoriya countered as he opened the door to the dorms.
“That’s valid. Anyway, I have some homework to make up and so do you.” Shinso reminded Midoriya as they split ways.
“Shut up and never speak again.” Midoriya snapped back and his sibling laughed.
“Hey, you have to do it at some point.” They replied and Midoriya just groaned.
“I bet I could do it during class.”
“I believe you, but Dad will get mad at you if you do.” Shinso countered and Midoriya gave up.
“Yeah, probably. See you later.” Izuku began clomping up the stairs and made his way to his room where he pulled out his homework and started it. He didn’t get far before someone knocked on the door. Huh, I thought everyone was at the mall today. Who could it be?
“Come in!” Midoriya yelled at the mystery person and the door opened. Todoroki? Why is he here? And what does he need from me? “Hi Todoroki! What’s up?”
“Uh, well, my sister was telling me that I should start a conversation with someone, so how was your day I guess?” Midoriya almost laughed at the lack of tact but decided to indulge him.
“Well ,I kind of rough day, with All Might trying to arrest me and everything, but it worked out. My dads got me out. Oh speaking of dads, how is your family now that he’s gone?”
Relief passed through his eyes at not having to come up with any small talk. “Actually it’s been really good! After my father went to jail one of my brothers, Touya, who we all thought was dead came forwards and started talking to me. We’ve been texting a lot.”
“Really! That’s great!” Midoriya smiled up at his crush and Todoroki smiled back. Holy shit that’s cute.
“Yeah, it’s really nice. We went for ice cream, I even got a picture. Wanna see?” Todoroki suddenly invaded Midoriya’s personal space and showed him a picture on his phone. Wait, he looks familiar. I mean, if you add some scars and dye his hair he’s identical to Dabi. Hold the fuck up, is Dabi Todoroki Touya?
“What have you been talking about?” Please let me be wrong, please let me be wrong.
“Uh just normal stuff I guess.” Todoroki looked confused at the line of questioning but Midoriya kept pressing him.
“Like school or the training camp?”
“Yeah. I know you aren’t supposed to tell other people about some stuff, but he’s really interested.” Oh fuck. There’s no traitor, there’s just a boy who’s texting his brother about school. How am I going to explain this to him. On one hand, he was the reason we all got attacked, but I don’t want to take away his relationship with his brother, especially if he just figured out he wasn’t dead.
“Hey Todoroki, what’s the one thing that would piss your dad off more than not being a hero?”
The hot and cold hero looked startled at the change of questioning but then thought about it for a moment. “I guess being a villain?”
“And I’m guessing your brother really wanted to piss your dad off.” Todoroki’s eyes widened, connecting the dots. “I found your brother while I was Apparition.” Not really I lie, because I did find him, but as Wraith. “He’s the villain Dabi, I think. I’m not sure yet, but all signs lead to that” Todoroki’s eyes were begging Midoriya to stop, but he forged on. “If you texted him about the training camp, then that’s how they knew where we were. They probably tracked your phone.”
“But, I-, no. No! That’s not possible. He wouldn’t do that to me.” Todoroki looked at the point of tears or screaming into the void in anger, something that was unnatural on his usually stoic face. I wouldn’t want to be told this either, but it has to be said.
“Todoroki. Look at me,” he does. “You are not at fault here. You were just talking to your brother. You are not responsible for his life choices. You are not a traitor. Okay?” The boy’s eyes still looked kind of panicked.
“Why- why would he do this though..? I thought he cared..” Todoroki sat down on the couch and hugged himself.
Izuku glanced out the window, trying to come up with something to say.
“Sometimes good people do really shitty things whether they want to or not. And I don’t know if he really is using you or he’s being forced to do this but it’s not your fault.” Midoriya said.
Todoroki sighed. “We should tell Nezu.”
Izuku gave him a sympathetic look. “Unfortunately, yes.”
“Alright. Let’s go get my brother arrested or whatever.”
Notes:
Did you see that coming?? We honestly feel that Todoroki having no idea what's going on is a little bit more realistic than one of their classmates betraying them. Anyway I hope you enjoyed the chapter and will stick with us!

Chapter 18: Nezu
Summary:
Todoroki and Midoriya talk with Nezu
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
“Izuku, you better have a good reason to barge in here unannounced. Also, please explain why you brought Todoroki with you.” Nezu looked up from his important paperwork that he never seems to actually be doing and asked his question. However, Midoriya knew Nezu wasn’t actually mad, he was just trying to intimidate Todoroki.
“I figured out who the traitor is. Well, I mean, he isn’t really the traitor. Actually, he kinda is, but he didn’t know he was the traitor. So you can’t get mad at him, but we did need to tell you because it’s important.” Midoriya immediately began to explain and Todoroki just stood to the side and let him without adding anything himself.
“Slow down. Who is the traitor?” Nezu’s eyes narrowed and both of the students got the feeling that ‘oh my god he’s planning someone’s death’.
“I am.” Todoroki spoke up for the first time and Midoriya flinched as Nezu turned his gaze into the ‘oh, I guess I’m killing him then’ one.
“Hold on, hold on, that is slightly true, but if you had listened to what I had said before then you would understand that it isn’t his fault.” Midoriya stepped in front of Todoroki, as if that would do anything to stop D4 from killing him.
“Oh?” Nezu looked like he didn’t believe Midoriya, but made no move to inflict any lasting damage upon the other student in the room.
“Yep! In fact, Todoroki didn’t even know he was the traitor!” Midoriya continued and Nezu just raised an eyebrow in disbelief.
“Is that true Todoroki?” Nezu’s calculating gaze was transfered over to Endickwhore’s son and he nodded. “I would like you to say it out loud, just so I can confirm.” Nezu added on. Oh, he’s probably trying to use body language, it’s a lot harder to lie out loud than just nodding your head.
“I had no idea I was giving away information to villains.” Todoroki replied, and Nezu seemed put at ease by that statement.
“Who exactly did you think you were giving information away to, then?” The rodent leaned back in his chair and the evil glint in his eyes were gone.
“My brother, Todoroki Touya. Apparently he is also known as the villain Dabi. Midoriya believes that when I texted him during the training camp he tracked my phone.” Todoroki’s facial features didn’t change, but anyone could hear a small amount of hurt transfer into his voice.
“I see. How did you find out he was Dabi?” At this question, Midoriya took back the reins of the conversation and answered it for Todoroki.
“I did that. Todoroki showed me a picture of his brother, and then mentioned he had been updating him about UA stuff, and since I had recently seen Dabi, I connected the dots.” Todoroki seemed surprised and confused as to why Midoriya had recently seen his brother, but decided not to comment about it.
“And you’re positive that you're correct with this assumption?” Nezu asked, and Midoriya shrugged.
“I mean, I’m 89% sure. To be fair, it’s the only thing that makes sense, I can’t see any of my classmates selling out each other. But that’s not my only reasoning,” he quickly added on once he noticed Nezu begin to interrupt, “Todoroki Touya shares a very similar image to the villains Dabi, and, with a father like Endeavor, it makes sense that he would become a villain. I mean, that is the best way to piss off your dad and he had probably lost all faith in heroes at that point.” Midoriya finished up his point and saw that Nezu was considering it.
“I see where you are coming from. For now, before we can investigate further, there is only one thing we can do. Todoroki, try to avoid telling your brother as much as you can, without sounding suspicious. We can’t have him knowing we know if he truly is Dabi.” Nezu began and Todoroki agreed.
“I understand. I’ll try my best.” Todoroki replied. I’m so happy they didn’t kill each other. That would be terrible.
“Now, with that said, I have to alert other teachers about this possibility. No one will think any different of you, so don’t worry about that.” Nezu continued and a small bit of tension leaked out of Todoroki’s shoulders.
“I think we should also tell D2.” Midoriya began. “Since he knows about the other stuff, and is on the League’s case in the police, it would only be fair to tell him.”
“I agree. I will contact everyone that needs to know as soon as possible. However, I’m sure you want to get back to whatever you were doing before, so you are free to leave.” Nezu finished up his statement and was already picking up the phone near him. As soon as he was done talking, Todoroki rushed from the room and Midoriya quickly followed him. I hope he’s okay. It must suck to have so many people you depend on become villains.
“Todoroki! Are you okay? I mean, I know you aren’t, but is there anything I can do?” Midoriya caught up with his friend and Todoroki turned to face him.
“There is nothing you can do other than arrest my brother.” The duel haired boy announced and Midoriya flinched.
“I’m sorry you had to figure it out this way. This must suck.” Izuku said, sympathetically.
“It does,” wow, not even going to deny it, “but there was no one I would rather learn it from. You always seem to save me right before it’s too late.” Todoroki finished his statement with a small smile on his face, the most emotion Midoriya had ever seen him show. It’s so cute!
“A-ah, well, I’m glad I could help.” Midoriya sent another blinding smile back his way and a small blush coated the teenager’s cheeks.
At this point, the two had arrived at the dorms and quickly entered the air-conditioned rooms. However, Midoriya had forgotten that all of his other classmates had no explanation to what happened with All Might, and how eager they were to know.
“Midoriya! What was that about?!”
“Mido, are you okay?”
“What did All Might want?”
“Do you need me to hide a body?”
“Do you need me to beat someone up?”
“Guys, I’m fine. It was all just a minor miscommunication on both of our parts. All Might overheard me talking about a villain, and thought I was the traitor. But I’m not, so we got it all figured out.” Midoriya explained all of their questions, and a sigh of relief fluttered around the room.
“That is great to hear!” Iida walked up to the green haired boy and started to wave his arms around. “I am glad to see you safe!”
“Me too! I really expected the worst, although I should have known better. There’s no way you wouldn’t be able to get out of anything.” Ashido piped up and Midoriya laughed.
“I’m not all powerful Ashindo.” He commented.
“Could have fooled me.” Uraraka replied and this time everyone laughed.
“Well, I think I speak for everyone when I say that it’s great to see you back and well.” Yaoyorozu said and everyone nodded. Wow, I have really great friends.

Chapter 19: Shigaraki
Summary:
Midoriya gets summoned by the League again
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
Giran sent a location
...what, does this even mean? There’s no time limit, no nothing! Shit, I probably have to move fast. Running to his room, the boy threw together an outfit. Black combat boots with skinny jeans, and a nice white blouse. Huh, that actually looks pretty nice! Maybe I do have some fashion sense after all.
Midoriya was also surprisingly good at putting on makeup, even though he had only done it a couple times. Within three minutes, a new record, he had everything put together, his voice modifier on, and was ready to go to wherever the hell Giran wanted him to. Or, probably, where the League wanted him to.
Wait, aren’t I supposed to tell D1, D2, and D4 about this? Oh well, I’ll send a text to let them know where I am, but I don’t really have time to get set up with coms and cameras, especially since I was late last time.
The Chat for Ghosts Who Smile Back
Apparition: fun fact im meeting with the league
Apparition: probably
Apparition: thot youd like 2 no
Izuku’s phone immediately started to ding with notifications but he didn’t have time to read them, only turning on his GPS and muting the chat.
Thankfully, the meet up was located pretty close to where Midoriya was, he only had to take a train and walk for about a minute afterwards to get there. Giran looked pretty pleased with his time. Unlike the last time, no words were exchanged, a portal opening up the second Midoriya was close. Ugh, I still hate going through his portals. It just feels bad.
Same as last time, Midoriya was dropped off in an actually nice looking bar. However, thankfully, the members present had decreased since the last time he was summoned. There were only four villains in the bar this time, other than Giran. They include, Shigaraki, Kurogiri, Dabi (Todoroki Touya, who is using your friend), and Toga.
“Wraith! Oh, I can’t keep calling you Wraith, that’s stupid, what’s your name?” Toga bounced up to Midoriya and immediately started to talk non-stop. When she saw that he wasn’t going to answer her question, she didn’t seem all that surprised. “Anyway, I’m so glad you’re back! It’s been sooo boring without another girl here! But now you’re here! Yay!” She-she’s very bubbly for a villain.
“I hope you didn’t call me here for girl time. I have better things to do.” Midoriya said and glared at both Toga and Shigaraki.
“Of course not.” Kurogiri, ever the diplomat, spoke before Shigaraki could. “We have another mission for you, one, a bit more, hands on. I hope that’s okay with you.”
“Depends on what it is.” Midoriya replied, while internally freaking out. What do they mean? I thought this would be a one time thing. And why me? What are they trying to accomplish?
“You’re going to infiltrate the Dybbuk organization.” Shigaraki explained and Midoriya almost laughed. The organization I’m infiltrating wants me to infiltrate another organization. The irony.
“Yeah! We need a double agent in there, and I thought you would be the best option, so I recommended you!” Toga added.
“Why me?” Midoriya kept asking questions, even though he knew that might get on their nerves. However, so far so good.
“You’re female and a hacker. One, they love hackers, and two, females are usually underestimated.” Dabi, which was surprising, answered the question. Ha, wonder how he would react if he knew I wasn’t actually female. Probably badly if we’re being honest.
“So, how about it Wraith?” Shigaraki smirked, like he knew that Midoriya would accept. This… might actually be a really good idea. I’ll get more information on both groups and can turn them against each other, that would really help the heroes!
“Sure. What do I need to do?” Midoriya officially signed his death warrant with a smile. My dads are going to kill me for this.
“Oh, don’t worry. We’ll set it up, all you need to do is come when we call you.” Shigaraki looked very pleased that Midoriya agreed to his idea, cementing Izuku’s feeling that agreeing was the right thing to do. “Kurogiri, take her back.”
“Of course young master.” The purple mist opened a portal next to Midoriya and he quickly stepped through it, with Giran not following him this time. Once Midoriya was sure no eyes were watching him, he pulled out his phone and started to make his way to the train station.

Chapter Text
Midoriya raced through the hallways of UA at his top speed. He whipped around a corner and had to move from running into All Might. He debated the pros and cons of just running him over. My dads would be proud of me, but the time it would waste would be worse than just avoiding him. So, although his vindictive side really wanted to murder the bitch, Midoriya side stepped him and kept sprinting.
“No running in the halls!” All Might yelled after him and Midoriya gave him the finger.
“Fuck you too All Might!” He screamed back and pushed off a wall to keep his momentum going as he went around another corner. From this point, it was a straight shot to Nezu’s office and he got there in record time. Immediately, he slammed open the door and exclaimed, “I’m back bitch!”
“Izuku! Where were you! You are in so much trouble!” Shinso replied and wrapped themself around their brother. Midoriya hugged back and noticed that Shinso was trembling.
“It’s okay. I’m okay.” Midoriya tried to sooth them and began to pull them off of him, but Hitoshi refused to let go.
“You better not be lying to me, because I know where you sleep and I won’t hesitate to lock you in there.” Shinso threatened, but stopped shaking as much, so Midoriya took it as a win.
“You know that wouldn’t stop me.” Izuku countered and Shinso just sighed.
“Yeah, I know.” They finally let go and moved out of Midoriya’s way. However, the green-haired boy kind of wished they had stayed, because now he had to face his parents.
“So, hi, and um, sorry. I won’t do it again.” Midoriya spoke up once he realized that his parental figures were content to just stare disappointingly at him. Sadly, the statement didn’t change their expressions and even Shinso started to get unnerved. Oh god, they’re really pissed.
“Do you understand what you did wrong?” Nezu began, and Midoriya nodded, too afraid to actually speak. “And you understand what that put us through?” Again, the student nodded. “And I’m going to hope you know what you’ll do next, right?” Another nod. “Great, now tell us exactly what you are going to do next, or at least, what you should have done this time.”
“I should have asked for a time I had to be there, and if it was too early make them give me more time. During that time I would change, contact you, and allow you to put coms and cameras on me. Then, I would leave.” Midoriya answered the question, and saw the three adults relax a little.
“Good.” Nezu commented, and then sipped his tea. Midoriya almost immediately relaxed. If D4 is getting out the tea, that means he’s not that mad, anymore.
“I am very disappointed in your behavior Izuku.” Aizawa began once he was sure Nezu was done. “As your teacher, it is my job to teach you what to do in these situations, and I thought you listened to what I had to say. Never go without backup. We’re your backup Izuku, don’t leave us behind again. That’s how people die.” Midoriya flinched and looked at the ground, guilt surging through him.
“I know. I’m sorry.” Damn, I feel like trash.
“I hope you will never do that again then,” this time, the last person who had not spoken was the one to speak up. “I understand that it’s an easy mistake to make, but I hope you will take everything we’ve said to you under consideration. Other than that, I would ask that we get to what you learned.” Tsukachi finished and Midoriya breathed a sigh of relief. Finally, it’s over and we can get to the important stuff.
“Um, can I ask for something first?” At the nods that the adults in the room gave him, Midoriya continued. “Can we have Past Mic and Fatgum come? It makes sense for Past Mic to come, because Dadzawa would probably tell him everything anyway and he’s pretty smart, so that’s why I want him here. Fatgum makes sense because he is another pro hero that had access to more places and we were planning for him to get involved in the Shie Hassaikai take down so he might want to know about this as well.” Midoriya explained.
“You just want all of your family to get together and kick ass.” Shinso commented and Midoriya laughed.
“You’re not wrong.” Midoriya replied.
“That idea is fine with me, as long as Tsukauchi and Aizawa also agree to it.” They both give confirmation that they are okay with it and Nezu picked up his phone. “Great, then I guess I have a few calls to make.”
____
“Izuku! It’s been so long since I saw you last! I hope everything’s going well in school, I won’t hesitate to take another one down for bullying.” Fatgum smiled once he saw his ‘son’, but the smile became stressed once he saw how many other people were also in the principal's office. “Um, what’s going on?”
“Welcome to the Wraith Project, where we try to stop Izuku from doing idiotic things tha either involve the League of Villains or the Shie Hassaikai.” Dadzawa answered and Fatgum blanched.
“Um, excuse me, but what the fuck?” The hero asked and Present Mic laughed.
“That’s what I said once I heard about it! I can’t believe my son is so grown up and already taking on some of the most dangerous villains!” Past Mic replied and Midoriya blushed a little.
“Uh huh. That’s totally what I got from that.” Fatgum didn’t seem phased about the fact that Present Mic called Midoriya his son, which confused the boy. However, what he didn’t know was that all of the dads had their own group chat and even got matching mugs for each other.
“Someone *cough* Nezu *cough* thought it was a great idea to send Izuku as a mole into the League of Villains.” Tsukauchi explained.
“The shade.” Shinso whispered and Tsalty smiled.
“In his defence, he didn’t ask me to infiltrate anyone. All he wanted me to do was gather information and use it to turn villain organizations against each other. The whole Shie Hassaikai, Dybbuk, and League thing was a total accident.” Midoriya defended his fourth adopted father, but that wasn’t what caught most people’s attention.
“What do you mean, Dybbuk?” Tsukauchi asked, because Midoriya hadn’t been able to get to that part of the story yet.
“Okay, so the reason the League called me today was to get me to agree to be a mole for them in the Dybbuk organization. Which is actually really funny, because I’m a mole in the League and they also wanted me because they thought I was female, which obviously, I’m not.” Midoriya laughed a little at the end of his sentence, but no one laughed with him, so he stopped pretty quickly.
“I’m going to guess you agreed.” Shinso guessed and Midoriya nodded. He thought he heard Aizawa mutter ‘problem child’ after that, but he wasn’t really sure.
“Aizawa, have you ever heard of this organization?” Nezy asked and Aizawa thought about it for a bit.
“No, they must be pretty new.” He assumed and turned to face Fatgum. “Unless, have you heard anything?”
“No, but I’ll keep an ear out.” Fatgum took out his phone and began asking around to his hero contacts.
“Okay, you have a day to find out more.” Nezu also began trying on his computer, but stopped to face everyone. “We should meet here in exactly twenty four hours. Is that good for everyone?”
Once everyone agreed, the group disbanded to start investigating. Shinso and Midoriya began to walk together back to the dorms.
“I’m glad nothing went wrong, but don’t ever do that again okay?” Shinso spoke up halfway to the dorms, smiling softly.
“I won’t, you don’t have to worry.” Midoriya comforted. “But I wouldn’t say nothing went wrong. On the way to Nezu’s office I ran past Bitch Might.”
“That sucks. Tell me you punched him.” Shinso asked, looking like they were ready to do that themself.
“Nah. I was debating running into him, but decided that would waste too much time. Instead, I flipped him off and yelled ‘fuck off’.” Midoriya replied and Shinso broke down laughing.
“Damn, I wish I could have seen that.” They commented.
“It was really therapeutic.”

Chapter Text
The next day was actually super fun. It was all about weapons.
“So, I’m giving out a list of weapons pro heros use. Some of them are pretty non-violent, some aren’t. I want all of you to check off the ones you already know how to use and circle the ones you want to learn.” Iida looked horrified, so he elaborated. “There will be times when your quirk is not enough, or you won’t be able to use it. And to any of you who are worried about using weapons on other people, please note that your quirk is more dangerous than anything on this list. For example, Ashido literally secretes acid. That’s far more dangerous than a knife but for whatever reason there’s still more stigma around the support items. Now go ahead.”
Shinso looked extremely excited, probably because their quirk doesn’t really help with hand to hand combat and started flipping through the pages with gusto. Midoriya opened his packet as well. Okay so I’ve learned how to use a taser, whip, baton, tranquilizer gun, metal bat, and a cloth capture weapon. His capture weapon was not like Aizawa’s, it was just high-strength cloth that he would wrap around both hands and use the part between them to trip and tie people up. Hmmm, I should probably have another couple long range weapons and a capture one. Oh there’s a whip-like capture weapon! That could work and wouldn’t be too long to learn. The boy shifted through the pages a couple more times before he just decided to ask Shinso.
“What’s a long distance, non-violent weapon you could see me using?” He asked. The brainwasher paused for a little bit and thought.
“Tranq gun?”
“Already learned.”
“Of course you did. Hmmm,” they got lost in thought, “I don’t know if this counts as a weapon you have to learn but gas bombs are pretty useful.”
“Thanks! That’s perfect. I already have a gas mask as a part of my costume so that’s a great idea! I’ll write it in the ‘other’ box and Aizawa can do with it as he will.” With that done the boy moseyed over to Uraraka to see what she was doing. “Hey, whatcha putting down?”
She was practically glaring at the paper. “Ugh, I don’t know. Half of them seem really fun but need five fingers to use! I don’t want my weapons to float everywhere!”
“Umm, well there are weapons that are usually very heavy so if you learn one of those you can have an advantage. Also, why don’t you use gloves? If you wear gloves with one finger tip cut off then your quirk won’t activate on things you touch because you’re only touching them with one finger pad.”
Uraraka looked like the answer to the universe had been placed in her lap. “You’re right! I mean the other tips of the glove would need to have a way to easily come off but the idea is solid! Thanks Mido. I’ll definitely keep both of those things in mind when I’m choosing,” she started flipping through the pages with new determination. “Oh, on that note what are you gonna learn?”
Midoriya pointed to the whip capture weapon. “I’m going to learn that, mostly because I already know how to use a whip and it’s good to have more capture weapons, and gas bombs.”
“Those are an option?” She exclaimed, trying to find it.
“Well, no, but there’s an ‘other’ box at the end where you can write stuff down.” He picked up the packet and showed her where it was.
“Oh, thank you! I think gas bombs would be really fun to learn!” Uraraka clapped her hands together in excitement, while making sure that her pinkies weren’t touching so she wouldn’t accidentally float off.
“Yeah, they would work great with your quirk too. You could activate your quirk on them and throw them above the villains where they won’t notice. And if the bombs are pressure activated then when you release your quirk and they hit the ground they’ll explode. It’s perfect!” Midoriya immediately crafted a plan for his classmate’s idea, and was even tempted to write it down so he could see if there was a way for him to use it himself.
“That could totally work! Thanks Midoriya!” Uraraka smiled and Midoriya returned it.
“No problem, but you should probably write down the idea before you forget or Aizawa takes back the packet.” He commented.
“Oh, you’re right.” Ochako began to write furiously on the page and with her busy, Midoriya turned back to his own paper.
I bet two weapons are enough, especially since I already know how to use so much more. I really should be more thankful for those early lessons when Nezu took me on. The boy grabbed the packet, and walked up to where his ‘father’ was sleeping.
“Dad, I filled in my packet.” Midoriya whispered and Aizawa cracked an eye open.
“Put it next to my head and I’ll deal with it later.” The caterpillar whispered back and closed his eyes again.
“Sure.” Midoriya just placed it next to him and walked away, plenty used to the weird antics of his teacher.
____
“Great, now that you have all turned in the slips I’m going to hand them to Iida who is going to give them to Snipe at Ground Gamma.” Aizawa handed the packets to Iida and the student looked surprised at the sudden task. “Also, don’t be afraid to run in the halls to get it to him. The faster the better.” Iida looked one step away from a heart attack at those last sentences. “Now, everyone else get changed into your hero costumes and then also go to Ground Gamma.” With that, the hero costumes came out of the wall and Aizawa walked out the door.
____
“Welcome chillins to weapons training.” Snipe greeted the students as they trickled into the area. “I got all the stuff you checked on your forms right here for you to learn how to use. We gonna go one at a time, but there are handbooks over to the left for the rest o’ the group to read while they waiting. Is that understood?”
A chorus of ‘yes sir’s echoes throughout the student body and Snipe looked pleased with the response.
“Great. Now, can Aoyama please come up to see me.”
A bit of time passed, and soon Midoriya heard his name being called, and he made his way over to where Snipe was standing.
“So, I see you want to learn the whip-based capture weapon! Very nice choice. It’s one of the more complicated ones, but since you already have experience with whips I’m sure you’ll manage. How about you go over there,” he pointed to a corner of the room that had three dummies, “and practice it on them. Tell me if you need help, after I get through all of your classmates I’ll be walking around,” he paused as he remembered something. “Oh yeah, also the capture weapon is over there so go get it and then do whatever I guess. Try not to break anything.”
Midoriya walked towards the middle of the room to the many boxes holding weapons. The very right side seemed to be where the capture weapons were located so he trotted to that side, finding his new weapon pretty quickly. Picking it up he looked it over. It was about 10 feet long, a hook on the end of it to help grab onto things. The material was black, but other than that Midoriya couldn’t tell exactly what it was.
Quickly the high schooler wrapped it up and jogged towards the dummies, excited to try it out. He gave it an experimental crack, flinching at the loud noise and the stares he was now getting from his classmates. Sheepishly he turned and tried to wrap it around the dummies, but it just ended up knocking it over. I need to get out of the mentality of it being a normal whip, and try to flick it around instead of at.
The class was there for about an hour, and in that time Midoriya had only successfully used his weapon seven times. Thankfully the class was so busy doing their own things that they stopped staring at his every time the whip made a loud noise. Didn’t stop him from sulking as they made their way out of the gym.
Shinso, of course, noticed this. “Are you annoyed that you didn’t do something perfectly for once in your life?” He asked Midoriya, who sputtered indignantly.
“Of course not! I just, I have the theory down, but I can’t do it in practice. I mean, I can do everything perfectly, except get the angle right! But I even know how to get the angle right so I don’t understand how it’s not working!” He threw his hands up in frustration.
“Dude, I don’t think you understand that the rest of us don’t even understand how to use the weapons we picked in theory, let alone only have one aspect of them that we can’t do. Okay, besides Yaoyorozu. But anyway, I’ve basically never held daggers in my hand but you don’t see me complaining that my form was atrocious. So you’re already leaps and bounds in front of us. Plus we’re going back to the gym tomorrow so it’s not like it’s a life or death situation.” They paused. “Well, not yet at least.”
Midoriya huffed, but smiled at the dark humor. “Are knives really that hard?”
Shinso shuddered, “Honestly I think in the long run those things are gonna do me more harm then they are my opponents.”

“So then, this extremely young child challenged me to a scream off. He thought he could scream louder than me. HE DiDn’T EVen HaVe A vOIcE QuiRK!” Yamada broke off in laughter after he finished the sentence with everyone else in the room, except for Aizawa, laughing with him.
“That kid is such a dumbass.” Shinso commented through their laughter.
“Language, but yeah. That kid is really stupid.” Aizawa reached for the pile of bread before continuing. “Now you understand what it’s like to be a teacher. You’re always surrounded by idiots.”
“Hey, you teach us and we’re not idiots!” Midoriya countered, but Aizawa just scoffed at the statement.
“Mhm, sure.” The sarcasm was laid thick on the words and both students gave offended gasps.
“Betrayed. By my own father.” Shinso bemoaned in terrible acting, and Yamada snickered a little. “Guess I’ll just have to betray him in return.” With that, Shinso reached and grabbed the bread Aizawa had just gotten and stole it off his plate. Aizawa’s eyes widened and he moved to lunge across the table to get it back. Thankfully, Past Mic grabbed him and hauled him back into his seat before he could knock something off the table in his haste.
“Ha-” Midoriya was about to say more, but a certain sound stopped him in his tracks. “That’s the sound I put as the text message notification for Giran.” Everyone stopped what they were doing and turned their full attention to Midoriya. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone.
Giran: come to the normal place
Giran: you have an hour to get everything you need
Giran: don’t be late
“What is it?” Tsukachi, who had been silent for most of the dinner, finally asked the question on everyone’s mind.
“Giran gave me an hour to get to the pick up spot.” Midoriya was already out of his seat and running to where he placed all of his Wraith costume. I’m really glad I came prepared. “Do you guys have the coms and camera I need to put on with you?”
Tsukauchi was up in an instant and rummaging through the briefcase he had brought to the dinner. “Yeah,” he replied, “I should have it somewhere in here. I was going to just give it to Aizawa for safekeeping, but I see there’s no need for that now.”
Midoriya grabbed the clothing and makeup he had packed and sprinted towards the bathroom. “Great, get those setup while I get changed.” The boy slammed the bathroom door shut and was already starting to get all of the makeup supplied organized.
____
In ten minutes, because Giran had given him more time than he needed so Midoriya didn’t need to rush the makeup for once, Midoriya stepped out of the bathroom. Shinso heard the noise of the door and whistled when they noticed how Midoriya looked.
“Damn! If I didn’t know who you were, I wouldn’t have recognized you. Very nice.” Shinso spoke up and the adults in the room also turned to see what Midoriya was dressed up in.
“Thanks.” Midoriya gave a twirl in his dress and then raced over to where all the fancy gadgets for him were sitting. “Now, set me up with all that fancy shi-stuff.”
Soon enough, Midoriya was geared up and ready for war. He then raced out the door immediately, because for some reason putting on coms and cameras wasted more time than putting on a dress and makeup. He was still almost fifteen minutes early, but even then Giran was still waiting for him at the designated spot.
“Congratulations, you’re finally early for a change. I’m impressed.” Giran commented and Midoriya scowled.
“Save your sarcasm for someone who cares. I’ve got things I need to be doing.” He replied, easily slipping into his villain persona.
“Of course. How silly of me.” The informant pulled out his phone and typed something into it. A few seconds later the same black portal opened next to the two and Giran motioned towards it. “After you.”
Izuku stepped into the league’s bar and took notice of the lack of members present. Only Dabi and Shigaraki were present and were both giving him a somewhat smug look.
“Today’s the day!” Tomura shouted, throwing his hands out like he was awarding some great prize.
“...what??” Izuku responded, clearly missing the memo.
“We’re sending you in to Dybbuk.” Dabi deadpanned. Shit, now?
*Okay wow that’s really soon. Do they always just throw this stuff on you?* Dadzawa’s voice crackled softly over the com hidden under his hair.
Izuku hummed in agreement. “Okay, how is this going to work then?”
“Well you’re scheduled to take on a position as a new recruit in ten minutes. We’ll drop you off a block away and they’ll probably explain everything there. I have an earpiece for you.” Tomura explained as he grabbed a right sided hearing aid-ish thing from the counter.
Oh fuck, I have an earpiece in my right ear already! “Uhhh, I’m left eared.”
“...what?” Idiot!
*nice going dumbass* Shinso mumbled into the mic.
“Uh, I mean, I have partial hearing loss in my right ear so I need a left eared piece.” Izuku remedied.
*nicely saved.* Nezu applauded.
“Thanks.” Izuku replied.
“Huh?” Dabi gave him a look.
“I mean for understanding..or something.” Izuku replied.
“...right.” Tomura who had left to get a different earpiece returned and passed him the small device. Izuku slipped it in before turning to face the portal that had opened and stepped through. He was faced with the wall of a grimy alley and grimaced as the portal shut, leaving him in the dirty street. He stepped out and began to walk his way to the warehouse where Dybbuk was mainly stationed.
Of all the places they had to leave me. This is disgusting. Midoriya raised his hand to knock on the door Kurogiri pointed out to him, but paused for a moment. Deep breathe in, deep breathe out. Don’t let them know you’re lying to them. With that in mind, Midoriya wrapped his knuckles on the door.
“What do you want?” A voice spoke up from behind the door after Midoriya waited a few minutes and sounded very annoyed.
“Let me in. I’m your new recruit.” Midoriya responded, and then flinched at the silence that followed.
“What do you mean?” The voice questioned.
“I’m Wraith, and I’m sick of waiting.” At that, the door opened and Midoriya entered the unknown.

Chapter Text
“Welcome, Wraith.” A very normal looking person had opened the door for the student and was now gesturing for him to come inside. “We’ve heard great things about you, but I’m afraid that might not matter to our new owners.”
“New owners?” Midoriya entered the hideout and looked around. It was pretty normal, a place to put your shoes and other accessories. It looked like a house, which is probable because the villains might actually live here.
*I wonder what that means.* Present Mic questioned from Midoriya’s earpiece at the same time that Shigaraki spoke up.
*You better not be kicked out this early in the game* The League of Villains’s leader threatened. Such a lovely thing to say to your new employee.
“Oh yes. The Shie Hassaikai just recently bought us. It’s like we’re a company, but oh well, you’ll do what you can for money. Plus, they also give us protection, so it’s a win win.” The villain lead Midoriya deeper into the compound and explained the turn of events.
*Those fuckers, of course they get our prey before we can* Shigaraki snarled and Midoriya almost flinched at the volume that came from the com.
*Calm down,* Kurogiri’s softer voice popped up and Midoriya almost sighed with relief. *This is a great opportunity for us.* The green-haired teen heard the League continue to talk, but they had moved far enough away that Midoriya couldn’t make out exactly what he was saying.
Soon enough, too soon in Midoriya’s mind, the two of them reached the lounge where all of the main villains were sitting. Midoriya recognized a few of them, but most were unknown to the vigilante.
“Who’s this bitch?” One of the multiple evil-doers pipped up and glared at Midoriya.
“This is Wraith, our newest recruit. An accomplished hacker that has information on almost everyone.” The person who stood next to the teenager replied.
“Oh, if you’re so good at hacking, what exactly do you have on the League.” Someone who was obviously important asked.
Midoriya paused, waiting for a response from his ear piece, but nothing came. “Well, um, you see-” He began, trying to stall for time, but the leader was not pleased with his response.
“She’s useless, kill her.” The toucan masked villain waved a hand in Midoriya’s direction and he froze.
*Right now would be a great time to convince them to stop trying to KILL YOU!* Shinso screamed in Midoriya’s ear and Midoriya flinched.
“Dabi is Todoroki Touya.” Everyone froze and Midoriya continued. “Give me more time, and I can find out more.”
“Hm, then I guess we’ll keep you for the time being.” The leader person spoke up and relief surged through Midoriya’s body. “However, seeing as you’re not that useful, we’ll have to give you a second job. I have a lovely daughter named Eri, who needs a, well, let’s go with nanny. Seeing as you’re relatively young and a girl, I’ll put you in charge of taking care of her.” Holy shit, this is everything I need and more . “One of my subordinates will lead you to her room. If she escapes from there, there will be consequences.”
“Of course. I’ll do my best.” Midoriya replied and the toucan man smiled, or at least seemed to have smiled.
“I should hope so. Anything less would lead to unfortunate things.”
____
“Eri, this is Wraith. She’s going to be your ‘nanny’ for the time being. Treat her well, or don’t, I don’t really care.” Toucan man’s subordinate opened the door to a small bedroom where a little girl was sitting on the bed. At the words, the girl’s eyes went from the villain to Midoriya who tried to smile reassuringly at her. It must have worked at least a little, because some of the fear went out of her eyes.
“Well, keep her occupied for a moment, okay?” The villain didn’t even wait for Midoriya to reply before continuing. “Great. Bye.” He shoved Midoriya into the room and slammed the door shut. Eri flinched at the noise and Midoriya rushed to comfort her.
“It’s okay, it’s okay. Nothing bad is going to happen to you. Not while I’m here.” He whispered and slowly wrapped his arms around her once she calmed down enough to let him.
*Oh, you have a soft spot for kids I see. That’s perfect, because we’re going to have you break her out* Dabi’s voice echoed out of the ear piece and Midoriya’s eyes widened. That’s not good. UA has to act fast, we’re running out of time.
____
It was the day after Midoriya’s impromptu visit to multiple villain organizations, and it was also the weekly meeting of all the dads, Midoriya, and Shinso. So, after class the two classmates made their way to Nezu’s room.
“So, how pissed off are the Dad’s gonna be this time?” Shinso asked. They knew that Midoriya would sometimes, accidentally, forget to tell the adults important information about the Project and that could lead to many ‘fun’ rants.
“Hahaha,” Izuku chuckled nervously, “Well, it won’t be a lighthearted meeting that’s for sure. But they can’t get mad at me because they did hear everything that happened.” He got a disappointed stare as a response, probably at the fact that he’s choosing not to acknowledge the fact that the dads would get mad at him for doing anything dangerous at all, no matter if they knew about it beforehand. “Yeah… it’s not going to be fun.”
Nezu’s door was already open when the two got there, and they looked in to see everyone else was already there. Midoriya quickly walked in and sat down in his designated seat, getting ready to tell everyone the news.
“So, you know how I’m practically a member of Dybbuk? Right well turns out Dybbuk is now, how do I say this, entering the Shie Hassaikai. So basically I’ve kinda skipped like five steps in our plan. Woohoo.”
A blank stare was directed at the vigilante, from Fatgum who hadn’t been listening to the coms which it had happened, while Nezu clapped his hands together in delight. “Fantastic!” Now five incredulous gazes were directed at Nezu. “Now now, he was going to go into the Shie eventually, and now he doesn’t have to wait as long or join another organization, two things which would add more danger.”
“I suppose you’re right,” Aizawa conceded. “But still, from what I heard, if Midoria makes a single mistake he will be killed.”
“Yeah, but if I leave I might be killed as well.” His phone went off while the student was speaking and he pulled it out. “Speak of the devil. Giran says ‘The League want to meet and talk about the plan to rescue the little girl.’ And then he sent a location with a time that's… in an hour. So what do I do?”
Aizawa and Tsukauchi looked at the boy like they couldn’t believe he was finally asking that while the other adults started muttering.
“What is there to do?” Present Mic spoke up. “I mean, we’ve been practically winging it this entire time even when we have information and it’s worked out fine, so I don’t see why we should stop. Plus we don’t even know what’s going to happen, and neither to any of the villains, so we’re still at an advantage. This isn’t even a job interview, it’s just a placement test, probably. You can’t really prepare for that. So I say we put an earpiece in his ear, dress him up like a girl, and send him on his way in an hour.”
“I should’ve recorded that. I mean, mature adult heroes, saying it’s okay to wing it.” Shinso gave a pointed look towards Aizawa. “I will hold you to that.” Present Mic chuckled.

Chapter Text
Izuku walked through the portal for his pre-infiltration check in thingy not expecting much. He was not so pleasantly surprised by the rage and bloodlust filled looks of his new ‘Teammates’.
“I would like to know something,” Shigaraki started. “It became apparent to us in your last infiltration mission that you took the liberty of looking us up, seemingly extensively. So I asked Giran to do some checks on you and, wait for it, you don’t exist! It’s like your data file was wiped!”
Midoriya’s face whitened, but he refused to show fear.
*Izuku, get out of there.* Tsukauchi’s voice echoed in his ear.
*We’re already on our way, we’ve got your gps up and are around thirty minutes away. We’ll be there as soon as we can.* Aizawa’s voice replaced his
“So, I believe an explanation is due..” Dabi’s voice broke Midoriya out of his thoughts, but the boy refused to flinch at the look on Dabi’s face.
“Yes well, it appears you didn’t look hard enough.” Midoriya retorted, looking only slightly afraid.
“Oh, is that so. And what exactly do you mean by that?” Kurogiri asked, slowly leaning forwards and getting in Midoriya’s personal space.
“I’m trans. You probably couldn’t find me because of that. I, of course, made sure to cover my tracks at least a little in the villain world, but I couldn’t get rid of everything, which would be under my dead name. So that’s why you couldn’t find me.”
“Fuck! I was so exiitedddd~.” Toga whined and stomped her feet like a four year old. “That’s no fair~! I! Want! A! Girl! Friend!”
“Fuck you, birth gender doesn’t define me. I’m still a girl.” Midoriya defended his made up gender and heard Shinso laugh.
“And you’re sure you wouldn’t happen to be Izuku Midoriya of UA would you? Nezu’s personal student? The one currently in charge of our villain case?” Shigaraki sported a wolf grin as he walked toward Izuku, and grabbed the student’s chin.
“No, I am no such person. In fact, I would be offended you would think that, if that also didn’t mean that I look younger than I am.”
“Well, there are multiple ways to find out if you’re lying, aren’t there.” Shigaraki’s eyes narrowed and he lunged towards the boy. Izuku turned to run from the scene but fell through a portal onto the floor. He felt a chapped hand surround his neck. He braced himself for the inevitable but was shocked when he was pulled to his feet in a four fingered grip.
“I wonder how your little friends on the other side will take to hearing your screams while we get what we want from you.” Shigaraki chuckled behind him and dug his finger into Izuku’s ear. The earpiece was ripped from his ear and thrown on the bar.
Midoriya was manhandled into a chair that had been dragged into the room and plopped down dramatically before being tied down. He sneered up at Shigaraki’s looming face. “They’ll come for me soon. You won’t get away with this.”
The group laughed, a shiver running down his spine. “No, I think you’ll find that this was your mistake.”
Time went by painfully slowly. Between the questions and the pain his head was spinning in an attempt to keep up with the world around him. After an hour he couldn’t distinguish Dabi’s burning fingertips from Toga’s favorite knife set. His only thought before Shigaraki decided to drug him into talking and he lost all sense of reality was: Why aren’t my dads here yet?.
______
“How much further till we get there?” Shinso demanded to know the answer while tears streamed down their face at the sound of Midoriya’s whimpers.
“We’re ten minutes away from the hideout.” Aizawa replied, though while he said that he put more force on the gas pedal.
“Great. Where is everyone else?” Shinso asked, not noticing any other cars speeding down the street.
“... it’s just us.” Yamada answered from the passenger’s seat and Shinso gasped.
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN? WE’RE GOING TO NEED MORE PEOPLE! THIS IS THE LEAGUE WE’RE TALKING ABOUT!” The teenager screamed and both parents flinched.
“Hopefully not.” Aizawa tilted the wheel and the car spun around a corner at high speeds. “Nezu has a plan that might take down both the League and the 7 Precepts of Death. If it works, we’ll be fine.”
“And if it doesn’t?”
“Then we’re going to be in a lot of trouble.”
____
“Well, it looks like you had a better impression on your other employers than we thought you would.” Shigaraki stared down at Midoriya and Midoriya glared back.
“What exactly do you mean by that?” The boy asked while he shifted slightly, careful not to aggravate the, mostly small yet still painful, injuries on him. The reason they were small is because he admitted everything pretty early, not seeing any reason to keep lying.
“The Shie Hassaikai wants you back. Isn’t that so sweet.” What, why? They told me I wasn’t useful to them, why would they want me back?
“Oh yes it’s just so fantastic. My dream was always to have a villain organization want me back. Thank god it’s coming true.” Midoriya retorted and Dabi stepped up to loom over him.
“I’d watch your mouth if I were you.” Dabi’s hand lit on fire, but Midoriya didn’t even flinch. “You’re not in the best position right now. Who knows what I might do if you piss me off even more.”
“Oh I know perfectly well Mr. I-Don’t-Care-About-My-Brother-So-Much-I’m-Going-To-Use-Him-For-My-Own-Gain-and-Probably-Give-Him-Lifelong-Trust-Issues. I mean, I get it, you dad’s a bitch, but come on, this really isn’t the best way to deal with that. I mean, my mom was a neglectful ass so I became a vigilante and put her in jail. That solved the issue so much better than faking my own death to go and become a villain and let my younger brother be abused in my stead.” Midoriya was ranting at this point, but Dabi wasn’t setting him on fire, so he counted that as a win.
“You know nothing.” Dabi snarled.
“Are you sure about that..?” Midoriya took a deep breath in, ready to begin his second rant of the minute, but before he could, the door was slammed open.

Chapter Text
“Did you really believe that you could steal Wraith to get to Eri, because if you did, you are a lot stupider than I expected.” Instead of the dads that Midoriya expected to see, he was shown the leader and a few other Shie Hassaikai members.
“What are you doing here?” Shigaraki hissed back, but the enemy didn’t even flinch.
“You didn’t respond to our texts, which I have to admit is very rude considering the notice we got from you.” Toucan man replied and began to slowly take off his gloves. That’s probably a quirk thing, let’s hope it’s not meant for me.
“What notice?” Dabi asked while bright blue flames twirled around his hands. Toga had gotten a few knives out of hiding and was holding them in between her fingers, ready to throw them at a moment’s notice.
“Oh let’s see, the one where you say: here’s a trade, give us the girl and we’ll give you Wraith, and if you don’t we’ll torture information out of him until we have enough to get her anyway.” One of the lackey’s snarled and even Midoriya looked confused. That... isn't the reason they have me here at all. What are they talking about?
“And usually I would ignore such outlandish demands,” the leader spoke up again, and steadily got closer to the League, “but Wraith is a part of the Shie Hassaikai now, and I’m not exactly a leader that would leave a valued subordinate behind.”
“Well stick your good leadership up your ass, because we didn’t send such a demand.” Toga retorted and that’s when Midoriya connected the dots. Nezu, he did always want to turn them against each other, and there’s no better way to do that than send a false message from one side.
“Well, it’s a shame that I left my truth detecting subordinate behind, so I guess I’m just going to have to torture it out of you!” Shie Hassaikai’s leader ran forwards just as Shigaraki did the same. The two powerhouses danced around each other, both trying to land a hand on the other without letting the other touch them as well.
At this point, Toga screeched and lunged at the closest Shie Hassaikai member, fully prepared to stab them and end their life. While that is happening, instead of moving to help their coworker, the other member lunged forward and began to untie Izuku.
“Uh, thanks.” Midoriya whispered through the haze of screams and pain. Thankfully, Kurogiri was occupied with the member Toga had attempted to kill, but obviously failed to.
Soon enough, the ropes were untied and Midoriya was up and lunging to the door, pushing through the pain from his injuries. The Shie Hassaikai member moved to follow him, but a rush of blue flame had him charred to the bone before he could get more than a few steps.
“Get the boy, Dabi!” Shigaraki yelled and toucan man used the opportunity to almost land a hit on his shoulder.
Dabi ran to where Midoriya was, but didn’t stop him when he opened the door.
“Why are you letting me go?” Midoriya asked, fully aware that he could be dead by now if Dabi wanted it.
“Shoto talks about you. I don’t want to hurt him more than I have to.” Was his explanation and with that Midoriya was flying out the door and into the slightly sunlit alley just as a car pulled up to it.
“Izuku!” A purple-haired teenager flew out of the back seat and Midoriya realized it was Shinso. In the same instance Aizawa leaned out of the window.
“Get in!” He ordered and quickly Izuku obeyed. Soon, Shinso had their arm around Midoriya in the backseat and Aizawa was pulling out of the alley while Past Mic had started to treat Midoriya’s wounds.
“Thanks for coming.” Izuku murmured and got a smile from everyone.
“We’ll always come.” Past Mic replied, and with that assurance, Midoriya faded into unconsciousness.
____
A couple minutes earlier, Nezu called Sir Nighteye, Fatgum, and Hawks into his office, to the confusion of them all. The three heroes wasted no time getting there, and Nezu did the same with telling them what the hell was happening.
“I have good information that there is a young girl being tortured by the Shie Hassaikai.” Gasps were heard from every one of the heroes. “And right now is the only time we might be able to get her out. The leader and most of his close subordinates are fighting the League of Villains, so she should be mostly unguarded.” The rat pulled some papers from his desk and passed them out. “You have about an hour to gather your teams and read through this. I’m very sorry I can’t give you more time, but if this goes correctly not only the League of Villains will be taken down, but also the Shie Hassaikai.”
Sir was already reading through the packet, not phased at all by this all being thrown at him, while the other two were kind of dumbfounded. They quickly found their composure though, and ran out the door to get everything set up for the raid.
Time passed quickly, Nezu setting up his cameras and getting a plan ready for when everyone came back with their groups. When they arrived Nezu counted fifteen heroes in total, a perfect amount, all with a wide range of skills and weaknesses. The rat quickly paired them up into teams of two that he hoped could cover each other’s back, and gave them a camera.
“Does everyone know what’s going to be happening?” The teams nodded, so he continued. “Eri is on the bottom floor of the base, so it will take a lot of firepower to get to her. That’s why we’re not splitting up. The police will be outside to catch any runners, so while it is a good idea to arrest anyone you can, that is not the objective. After this is all over we can thoroughly search the building and get anyone we missed.”
He turned around to hear, “How exactly did you get this information, exactly?” It was Hawks, not doubting Nezu at all, merely curious.
“From Apparition, of course.” The rat replied, to the astonishment of everyone. It was not well known that Apparition was a kid, but for all of this to be happening because of a single vigilante was impressive. “Now, get in your cars and let’s move out.”
Nezu himself was not combat-oriented, and, in any other case, would just sit back and let the heros do what they needed to do. But he owed it to his student to make sure it was done right, with minimal casualties. Kami knows Midoriya didn’t need to blame himself if this went wrong, especially after getting kidnapped by the League.
——
Nezu walked into the small, unlit room with a warm smile on his mouse-ish face. It took a minute before he spotted the small, well technically she’s his height but whatever, girl.
“Hello! I’m Wraith’s friend!” He said carefully, as not to imply that he was anything like Overhaul. “My companions and I are here to bring you somewhere safe, you’ll never have to be experimented on again.”
Eri looked up at the principal with hope in her wide eyes. She made quick work of gathering Nezu in a hug, tears streaming down her face. Nezu led the girl to Fatgum who was waiting outside the door, who carried her through the semi-destroyed base until they made it to the surface.
"Is this... the girl?" The hero asked carefully, looking at how she was grabbing onto Nezu's fur. It must have hurt, but the rat didn't complain. He always did have a soft spot for children.
The principle nodded. "This is Eri. Eri, this is Fatgum, a hero. He helped me get you out of there." They were walking at a quick pace, trying to get out of the violence as soon as possible. "I'm sorry we took as long as we did, but don't worry, you will never go back there."
Fatgum had a suspicion that that last sentence wasn't for Eri alone.

Chapter Text
Midoriya woke up in the hospital to see Shinso and Todoroki sitting in the waiting chair next to him in a very emo pile. Past Mic, Nezu, and Fatgum had to leave before to finish their hero duties.
Midoriya tried to quietly stretch and wake up his stiff muscles, but when he tried the machines attached to him screamed in annoyance.
“Who’s there?” Shinso woke up gradually, while Todoroki shot out of the chair and raised his left arm, ready to set the ‘intruder’ on fire. Sadly, half of Shinso was on Todoroki, so when Todoroki left the chair, so did Shinso, albeit less gracefully.
“What the fuck!” Now Shinso was fully awake, and rubbing his side from where it slammed onto the ground.
“Hito-chan! Todoroki! It’s okay!” Midoriya frantically tried to calm down the two teenagers while also trying to make the machines calm down.
“What happened?” Todoroki asked while he slowly scanned the room.
“Nothing! I just moved and the machines decided to scream at me!” Midoriya finally pressed the correct button and the screeching noise quieted.
“Karma.” Shinso replied while they fell back into the chair.
“Nagisa.” Midoriya countered.
“Pfff” Todoroki began snickering uncontrollably at Shinso’s look of deep confusion. “It’s a manga thing you wouldn’t get it.”
“You read manga?” Shinso raised an eyebrow at the two of them.
“Mhm we have manga nights on bad nightmare nights where we sit on his bed and read.” Midoriya said.
“That’s...cute..okay, but really what the fuck! Are you okay?!”
“Yeah I’m..fine? I’m fine.” Midoriya replied.
“Yeah. No.” Aizawa said, walking into the room. Nezu trailed in behind him. “So first things first..” right, victim’s account of what happened. “I’m sorry it took so long to get there.”
“...Huh?” Midoriya looked surprised, and then immediately waved his arms around. “It’s okay! Everything worked out fine!”
Nezu cut in before Aizawa could go on another rant about self deprecation. “It’s not. As your employer and mentor, but more important as your father, I should have been there with backup from the beginning. I apologize for letting things go on as long as they did.” He bowed, causing Midoriya to grimace a bit.
“R-really, it’s okay. I get that it must have been difficult to gather a force in time, that’s not your fault.” Midoriya soothed. I really want to hug them. Too bad I can’t without them yelling at me.
“Blame All Might, he was the one who tried to convince the heroes not to go. Kept going on about how you were obviously a traitor and how it was a set up and such. Kept calling us corrupt.” Aizawa glared at the floor, eyes glowing with resentment.
“Yeah, he came to our class and told us not to trust you and that Nezu was being fooled. He even came up to me and tried to convince me you had lied about my brother as a cover up.” Todoroki added.
“Holy SHIT. That’s so not okay?? Umm, what? Nezu you fired him right?” Midoriya looked back and forth between the two of them.
“Of course I did. Even the hero contract couldn’t stop me from getting that asshole out of a classroom.” Nezu scowled, or as much as he could seeing he’s a rodent. “I gave him a restraining order. He won’t bother you anymore.”
“If he hadn’t I’m not sure I would be able to stop your classmates from throwing him into the sun. They already had a whole plan. Uraraka would activate her quirk on him and then Satou would chuck him into space.” Aizawa retells the story with a smile on his face. “I was ready to help them too.”
“Worse comes to worse I would have just made him reply to me and then get Todoroki to encase him in a block of ice. Either he would suffocate or die of hypothermia. Whichever one comes first.” Shinso added on and Midoriya laughed.
“I’m pretty positive he would suffocate first.” Midoriya replied. “If you could keep your hold on him that long.
“Of course I could. I’d be powered by spite, and spite can do the most magical things.” Shinso countered.
The group standing next to the hospital bed nodded and Aizawa even agreed verbally. “Spite is the best motivator. If I wasn’t using it, I wouldn’t be able to make it through a day.”
“Pff!” The group smiled at the sight of Midoriya laughing. If Todoroki was smoking up no one would tell him. “T-thanks you guys.” He started playing with the sheets. “That was..not fun.”
It took a moment for the others to realize he was talking about the league. “Mhm.”
“Haha, yeah I-.. I really wasn’t sure what I was going to do. I’m glad the Shie Hassaikai showed up though, as weird as that is to say.”
“Ah yes, that was one of my best strategies I’d say.” Nezu mentioned thoughtfully.
“Wait what? That was you?” Todoroki and Shinso both turned to give Nezu a look of shock.
“Ah yes. I knew we needed to have Overhaul and his henchmen out of their base and that they needed Midoriya alive. I figured they’d save him for us and send him on his way. Hence why I sent a fake threat to them telling them that I was the league, planning to steal Eri and had kidnapped Midoriya for info. I hadn’t taken into account Dabi’s assistance though.” Nezu explained.
Todoroki smiled sadly and sighed. Hitoshi looked at him thoughtfully and turned to Izuku. “When we get back home, wanna have a manga night?” The two smiled at him and nodded.
“But before that,” Nezu cut in. “There’s someone who wants to say hi to Midoriya. She’s a little shy, so Shinso, Todoroki, can both of you go outside for a bit?”
The two of them looked confused, but quickly realized who Nezu was talking about and vacated the room. Midoriya was obviously still a little out of it, because he had no idea what was going on. Who the fuck do I know that’s female and shy? Wait, Inko? No of course not, Nezu wouldn’t do that. So who??
Midoriya, as usual, was trapped in his thoughts until the door opened and a young girl walked in, hands behind her back, staring at the ground.
“Eri-chan!” He exclaimed, making her look up at him. She wasn’t smiling, per say, but her eyes lit up and she got closer. “I’m so glad you’re okay! How are you feeling?”
“...I’m good.” Midoriya smiled and moved his hand, Nezu kind of glared at him for moving, onto the top of her head. Now she actually smiled. But not for long, her mouth moving downwards into a frown. “But you got hurt! You shouldn’t have gotten hurt.” Eri’s eyes started watering but Midoriya was quick to console her.
“Eri-chan, my getting hurt was unrelated to you. I’m a hero, so this happens sometimes. I’m glad you’re safe.” Nezu approached the two of them and lifted Eri into Midoriya’s hospital bed.
“Eri, I have a very important job for you. You need to make sure that Izuku here doesn’t move. Not even a fingertip. Think you could do that?” She nodded her head, and the two of them got comfortable. Nezu took that as his que to leave, inviting Shinso and Todoroki back into the room as he did so. The two of them quickly pulled up chairs and started chatting with Midoriya and Eri as if nothing had happened and they knew her their entire lives.
The Wraith Project was finally over, and it looked like everyone would be okay.
