Chapter Text

“There you go, dear, all done.” Recovery girl gave the freckled boy a stern look as she stepped away from him, “You are very lucky nothing had broken, young man.”

“Yeah, thank you, Recovery Girl. I really appreciate it.” Izuku gave the older woman a sheepish smile, fatigue washing over his now completely healed body.

“I can’t believe your teacher didn’t send anyone to the nurses' office after having such a class! At least you had some sense to come by, even if it was just to heal a few cuts and bruises. Honestly! A battle trial? On the first official day of classes?! What were they thinking?! Any kind of battle isn’t supposed to happen until at least the third week of school when all the kids have a firm understanding of their costumes and equipment as well as proper training!” Izuku listened as Recovery Girl continued to rant as she began to write him a note on a pink slip of paper.

“I’m glad you didn’t use your quirk to heal it all, it would have definitely caused your stamina to lower significantly, making you all the more tired.” The woman sighed softly, turning on her heel, she walked over to a counter and pulled out a jar full of green gummies. “Make sure to get enough rest when you get home today. I understand from your files that you have training after school, I recommend you skip it today, though if you can’t skip out, don’t you dare push yourself or at least sit out and watch. If need be, I’d be happy to write you a note.”

Izuku hums in understanding, giving the woman a nod, “I’ll be fine without a note, I appreciate it though. I’ll just do some meditation or Tai Chi instead.” He watched as she poured some gummies into a small round plate before counting them and placing them into a small plastic bag and pouring the rest back in the jar.

“Good.” Turning back to face him, she handed him the clear bag of treats, “Here you go dear, these gummies will help you recover some of your energy to help you through the rest of the day.”

“Thanks” Izuku gives her a small smile as he takes the bag before glancing back over to the jars of different colored gummies, “um… why do you have them color coordinated?”

Recovery girl gave the boy before her a smirk as she gestured him to stand, “That, my dear, will be something you learn during our lessons on Thursdays.” She handed him a pink slip of paper and waved him off, “Now shoo, your literature class should still be in session.”

“Yes, ma’am.” Izuku reassured the woman before walking back to his last class. He hadn't spent too much time in his last class, cause the moment he had taken out his notebook the bell had rung. He couldn’t help the small huff that escaped his lips as he  slumped back in his seat. “This school is way too big.” Izuku mumbled to himself as he closed his notebook and leaned over to grab his bag.

“Alright, remain in your seats, as your homeroom teacher will be here soon to dismiss you.”

“You wanna borrow my notes?” Hitoshi asked, leaning forward in his seat

“You don’t need them?” Izuku asked, turning to sit sideways in his seat.

“Nah, Ishiyama sensei didn’t give us anything that’s due tomorrow.” Hitoshi explained as he handed over his notebook, “He assigned us a research paper that’s not due till almost the end of the semester, though.”

“Midoriya.” The two boys looked up to see their teacher standing in front of them, holding out a book, “Here you go. I want you guys to read through the book  when you have time and write a research paper on it by June 27th. That gives you almost four months to finish it.”

“Ah, thank you, Ishiyama sensei.” Izuku smiles politely at his teacher.

“It’s not a problem. Would you like me to give you the notes for today? It contains all the information that you need about the research paper.”

Izuku blinked a few times in surprise before slowly shaking his head, “N - no, thank you sir. Hitoshi is letting me borrow his notes.” He is still not used to such nice and helpful school teachers.

The man nods in understanding, “Very well. Have a good day everyone.” with a final nod to the class and a quick farewell in response, he leaves the classroom just as Aizawa sensei walks in. Quickly, Izuku shuffles all of his things into his bag before turning to sit in his seat properly.

“Afternoon.” Aizawa greets gruffly as he stops behind the podium and turns to face the class.

“Afternoon sensei.” Everyone greets in unison.

“Right then,” The tired man places his hands in his pockets, “the workout rooms on the second floor will be open for student use starting tomorrow.” Many students sit up at the announcement, “Remember to scan your ID at the reception once you go in and as you leave. Any questions?”

A few kids rose their hands, making the man sigh, “yes, Kirishima?”

“When will we be able to use the school gyms for quirk training?”

“Currently, the gyms are available to your upperclassmen, you’ll be allowed to have access to them next week after we evaluate you properly.” Aizawa explained as he shifted on his feet to get comfortable, “for now, you’ll have to get used to the workout room we have available on the second floor. Make use of them. Anything else?” Nobody moved, “Good, have a good afternoon.” He made his way to his desk.

“Thank you sensei. Have a good afternoon.” Everyone replied together once again before grabbing their things to leave. Izuku was startled at how abruptly Bakugo had stood and angrily walked out of the classroom.

“Jeez, what’s his problem?” Hitoshi asked as he stood to stretch.

“He’s probably still mad for losing earlier.” Uraraka happily chimed in as she skipped to a stop in front of the two, her bag slung over her shoulder. Kouda tailed along behind her silently.

“If that’s true, then that is quite immature of him.” Iida huffed with a swing of his arm, “We are here to learn after all. Losing is a part of the learning process!”

“Yeah… where’s Monoma?” Izuku asked, noticing his friend hadn’t approached the group yet. Everyone looked around the classroom for a moment before seeing him still in his seat.

“Is… is he spacing out?” Hitoshi asked, a little worried. Monoma never spaces out.

“Uhh… it looks more like he’s focusing on something?” Uraraka tilted her head curiously. Kouda let out a small squeak and tapped their shoulders. The group turned to look at the taller teen as he frantically pointed to their left. In unison, they turned to see Aizawa sensei intensely staring back at Monoma. The group looked between the two in growing confusion and worry. He’s not so stupid to start something with Aizawa sensei, is he?

The moment an oblivious Jirou, and Tokoyami left the class, Monoma stood to his feet. The group watched in silence as the blonde marched over to their teacher's desk, stopping with both hands on his hips and a disappointed glare directed at their homeroom teacher.

“Are you crazy?”

scratch that. He is definitely stupid enough to start something with Aizawa sensei.

“Monoma!?” Izuku’s jaw dropped

“That is not the way to speak to a teacher!” Iida was practically having a heart attack at the disrespect he’d just witnessed

“Dude! Are you trying to get expelled on the second day of school?!” Hitoshi rushed over to grab his friend’s arm

“Excuse me?” Aizawa’s stern tone made the group freeze up, Monoma, however, was unfazed. His one brain cell must have died during the battle trials today. That’s gotta be it.

“You allowed for our heroics' teacher to place us into battle on the first day of official classes. Are you trying to get us killed? Midori almost had a broken rib today, Hagekure almost got her skin peeled off, Mina nearly had a broken nose, Aoyama threw up, Todoroki almost gave everyone hyperthermia and Bakugou looked ready to use those giant grenades on him to blow up the whole building!  Just about nobody in this class has proper combat or quirk training, and yet we were told to ‘go plus ultra’ and fight one another.” Monoma’s tangent had left everyone silent, “Not only that but All Might wasn’t even good at giving us criticism! He just chose a single MVP of each round and just complimented them the whole time! How are we supposed to learn anything from that?!”

“... you had battle training? Today? That’s what your class did?” Aizawa asked after a few minutes of silence.

Monoma raised a perfectly plucked brow, “Yes, I believe that is what I had just complained about.”

Letting out a long groan, Aizawa hid his face in his palms and began mumbling to himself. Monoma’s lip twitched when he made out the words, ‘I’m going to fucking kill him’ come out of his teacher's lips. After a moment, the older man ran his hands down his face before looking back over to the blonde.

“Thank you for letting me know of this Monoma, you are right. That shouldn't have been something your class goes through on the second day of school. In fact, you were all supposed to go over your hero costumes and make any adjustments needed. It would seem that your… sensei had ignored the approved lesson plan I had given him.” The way he said ‘sensei’ almost sounded like a curse coming from Aizawa’s lips, “I’ll speak to him. As for the criticism part. I guess I’ll go over the tapes, and write down some stuff for everyone.”

Monoma nods in approval, “Thank you sensei” he bows politely. Turning on his heel, he grabs his backpack from his desk and slings it over his shoulder, “Are you guys coming?” He asked, looking over to his shell shocked friends.

“I… uh…” Izuku slowly walked over with the straps of his bag in his hand as he dragged it by his side, “Yeah… okay…?” Silently, everyone else followed the blonde out of the classroom. Izuku had to come back in to drag a frozen Iida out.

“He didn’t even get in trouble for that.” Hitoshi softly mumbled to himself.

“Monoma!” Uraraka stopped the blonde in front of the stairs and took his hands in hers, “You are my hero. Teach me your ways!”

“Uraraka…” Monoma stared down at her in surprise before smirking, “It's all about confidence.” The girl's brown eyes practically sparkled as they continued their track down the stairs. The blonde continued to explain to her as she listened intently.

“If hero training doesn’t kill us, Monoma will.” Hitoshi huffed with a soft smile

“I think he already killed Iida.” Izuku laughs sheepishly as he pokes an unresponsive teen.

‘I don’t think he’s even blinked.’ Kouda signs as he looks over the boy in worry.

Purple eyes looked over said boy for a moment before giving his friend a hopeless shrug, “Not much we can do bout that. Uh… let’s drop him off at the nurse's office and head out? We have training today…” he rubbed the back of his neck.

“Yeah… yeah, okay…” He gently guides the taller boy down the stairs and over to the nurses' office. After explaining to Recovery Girl how he’d become so unresponsive, she simply sighed and waved them off as she took care of the teen. Walking down to the entrance, they spotted Monoma waiting for them alone.

“Where’s Uraraka?” Izuku asked with a tilt of his head

“I invited her to join us for training, but she said she wanted a head start on the homework.” He shrugged, “Where’s Iida?”

Izuku slumped at the mention of the strict teen. Kouda answered for him, ‘We sent him to the nurse. He was so shocked by what you did, he became unresponsive.’

“Huh… Hope he gets better soon.” Monoma nods in understanding before shrugging, “Wanna join us for training Kouda?”

‘Training?’

“Yeah, we do training after school, it would be cool if you joined us.” Hitoshi speaks up, adjusting his bag.

‘Would that be okay?’ Kouda asked nervously

“Yeah! Sokka would be glad to meet you! So would Suki and Ty Lee!” Izuku happily hopped on his toes.

“... I’m so sad” Sokka mumbled as he watched Izuku go over some of his Tai Chi movements with a bulky boy they had introduced to be Kouda. Nito and Hitoshi trained with Ty Lee in the middle of the room.

“About?” Suki asked, glancing over to her husband from her computer.

“There’s four of them now. How am I supposed to play Monster Hunter with them if they're already in a server together? I’d be soloing it again.” Sokka sniffled dramatically as he whipped away a fake tear.

Suki snorted at this and elbowed her husband, “You don’t even know if the kid even plays Monster Hunter.”

Sokka snorted in return at his wife’s words. Crossing his arms over his chest, he leaned back in his seat, giving his wife the cockiest grin, “Oh please, I have taught those boys well. Kouda will be playing Monster Hunter within two weeks.”

“You’ve taught those boys how to be menaces to society.” Suki rolled her eyes half-heartedly.

She watched as her husband gave her a sly smirk that sent fear down many peoples backs, “They’ll change society and their gathering unknowing followers.”

Suki let out a sigh, “Alrighty then…” She turns back to her computer, “not touching that with a ten-foot pole.” Sokka let out a soft laugh before leaning in to give his wife a side hug and nuzzle her shoulder.

“You love me” He mumbled. Suki couldn’t help but smile and lean into his touch with a soft hum. The blue-eyed male smiled at the positive reaction and began to plant soft kisses up his wife's shoulder. Once he reached her neck, she let out a soft mewl.

“Can you guys, like, not?” the couple looked up to see their adopted son Nito, with a water bottle in his hands, giving them an embarrassed glare while his friends looked away with soft blushes on their cheeks. Ty Lee was nowhere to be found, “You're embarrassing me.”

“Awe common Nito, no need to be embarrassed! It just means your mom and I have a healthy relationship!” Suki suddenly let out a soft squeak before hiding her burning cheeks behind her computer monitor, ‘You should be glad we’re so close!”

“God, I’m glad the rooms at home are soundproof…” Nito made his way to the lockers for a shower, his friends right behind him.

“... Thankfully, my parent’s keep the PDA down while I’m home…” Hitoshi mumbled softly as he reached his locker for his clothes.

‘My mom is single so…’ Kouda signed with a sheepish smile.

“Lucky, since my dad came back I uh, noticed that…” Izuku shivered as he gestured to his neck, “They erm… have been doing some catching up…”

‘You poor soul.’ Kouda signs with a shake of his head

“Bro.” Both Hitoshi and Nito pat Izuku’s shoulder in sympathy.

TIME SKIP - TWO WEEKS -

“I’m so tired.” Hitoshi yawned as they made their way to school, “when does the year end again?”

“We’re barely in the second week of school, Hitochan” Izuku responded, stifling a yawn behind his hand.

“Stop yawning,”  Monoma let own his own yawn, “It’s fucking contagious.”

Hitoshi groaned, throwing his head back to stare at the sky, “Only two weeks? It feels like months already.”

“I find that school tends to make us feel like that all the time.” Monoma responds

“School’s not that bad.” Izuku responds, earning deadpan stares from the other two.

“I think star students have no room to talk.” Hitoshi gives him a playful nudge.

“Wha- star student?!”

Monoma prepares to state the facts in his friend's face, but pauses upon seeing a crowd in front of the school gates, “the hell?”

“I see Mics and cameras…” Hitoshi’s eyes narrow, “It’s the media.”

“Wha? Why are they here?” Nito raised a brow, “They don’t usually show up at the school, do they?”

“No.” Izuku frowned slightly. “You’d think if there were to be press it’d be for a big event or something”

“More students!” A woman with her brown hair tied in a ponytail grinned upon seeing them approach the gate. As if they were in perfect synchronization, half the interviewers in the crowd turned their attention to them, while the others bothered another group of kids. Before the three boys knew it, they had microphones in front of them and cameras pointed at them.

“Are you one of All Might’s student’s?”

“What is it like to have the symbol of peace as a teacher?”

“What are they like in person?”

“What does he teach? What are you learning?”

Blinking a few times to process the questions, all three of their faces went a bit pale. How did they find out about All Might sensei? As far as they knew everyone in school signed NDAs.

“All Might?” Hitoshi asks, still surprised.

“Yes! We’ve gotten word from an anonymous source that he is teaching in your school!” A reporter informed, stars practically shining in their eyes as they assume the kids will answer their questions.

“ I guess since it’s already out…” Monoma began. Quickly green and purple eyes turned to look at Monoma who began slowly smirking. A chance to bash All Might and tell the world his faults as a teacher? They have to get him away from the cameras, “Well-” Hitoshi quickly grabbed the boy in a headlock and covered his mouth, earning him a glare.

“No comments! We have to get to class!” Izuku smiled sheepishly as he helped his purple haired friend usher in the blonde yelling into his hand. They refused to release their friend till they had arrived to the bushes near the secret entrance.

“You guys were unnecessarily rough.” Monoma glared at Hitoshi as he rubbed his neck with the palm of his hand. Seeing the uncaring look on his purple eyed friend’s face, he smirked, “I like that.” he winked, making the male’s eyes widen and his face pale for a moment before flushing, and he took a step away from him.

Izuku snorted at the reaction, “Kinky.” He continued to walk over to the secret entrance.

“One day I'm going to have enough of your bull and throw you into Mt. Fuji.” Hitoshi grumbled, giving the blonde a small shove before turning to follow their freckled friend.

Monoma laughs at the shove following close behind, “You guys should have just let me talk some shit about All Might.”

“And let the world destroy you before you even started your hero career? No way” Izuku grinned as he opened the secret door.

“The only ones that should be allowed to talk shit about you to your face is us.” Hitoshi responded as they walked in and down the halls, “For example. You looked like a cheetah girl yesterday with that stupid outfit you wore when we went to the mall.”

Izuku huddled over in laughter as he pressed a button for the elevator. Monoma looked completely offended at the accusation.

“Excuse you! My denim jacket with cheetah print made me look fucking fabulous! There’s also nothing wrong with the Cheetah girls.” Monoma responded as they entered the elevator, “You looked like a fucking Jonas brother yesterday!” Izuku covered his mouth to stifle his continued laughter

“A Jonas brother!?” The elevator opened to show Shouta and Ace. Shouta took one look over the kids, Izuku leaning over the buttons shaking with laughter, as Monoma and Hitoshi glared at one another.

“I’ll take the stairs.” He mumbled, only for Ace to grab his arm.

“Nope,” he said with a large smile plastered on his face as he waltzed into the elevator, dragging him along. Shouta watched the elevator doors close with a sad look. With a soft sigh, he prepared himself for the bullshit, while Ace took out his phone to record and show Yamada later.

“Yes, a Jonas brother! A button up with an open vest and skinny jeans? What are we in the early 2000s?” Monoma looked Hitoshi up and down in disgust

“How fucking dare you." Hitoshi glared, "The Jonas brothers are amazing and my fashion sense is a thousand times better than yours and Izuku's combined!"

 Izuku's laughter came to a stop, "Wait…"

"Well, that's an unfair comparison! Everyone dresses better than Midoriya."

"Hey!" The free haired boy glared at them

"What?" Hitoshi rose a brow in confusion

"It's true." Monoma shrugged

"My fashion sense isn't that bad!" The freckled boy argued.

"Izuku, you wore a shirt that said 'you read my T-shirt, that's enough social interaction for one day' paired with khaki shorts and high socks along with those ugly ass red shoes." Monoma shook his head like a disappointed father.

"... I want that shirt" Ace mumbled softly, earning a nod of agreement from Shouta.

Sitting at her computer inside the currently closed dojo, Suki shuffled through some paperwork. Sokka was on the mat going over his katas with his favorite sword. The woman had a growing frown on her face as she read through a few papers. The more she read the deeper it became.

“Hey, Sokka?” The man in question grunts in response, never breaking formation, “Can you come look over these papers for me?”

With another grunt in response the tanned man put his sword in it’s place. Carefully placing it against the wall he made his way over to her, grabbing a small towel from his side of the desk, “What’s up babe?” Sokka asked drying off his sweat.

Suki held up the papers for him to take, “Tell me if you notice anything odd.” Taking the papers from her hands she watched as her husband glanced over each one quickly. If it were anyone else glancing over the papers she’d know they weren’t even reading them. Sokka is not ‘anyone else’.  Watching him carefully, she noticed the settled set of his jaw and small crease of his eyebrows.

“And these are all from the past few weeks?” Sokka questioned, blue eyes meeting brown.

Suki nods, “Yeah. Normally I’d be relieved with a decline in crime but… this just feels too drastic.”

“More than drastic.” Sokka handed the papers back to his wife, “The crime rate in your area went from 15 or 17 arrests a night to 5 or none in just two weeks. That’s not normal considering you and your team patrol the more dangerous parts of the city.”

“Yeah, everyone's patrol has been very quiet, it’s a bit unsettling.” Suki places the papers on her desk with a small sigh. Leaning back in her seat she crossed her arms over her chest, “I heard some other’s reporting the same thing around their areas.”

Sokka crossed an arm around his body as the elbow of his other rested on it, hand on his chin in thought, “I have been noticing a lack of fight reports on the news too. They’ve been reporting on a lot of lackluster things lately. Must mean that the same is happening for the daylights.”

Suki frowned at that. A gradual decline in crime is fine but a sudden drop so drastic as this and in two weeks? It’s weird and just didn’t sit right with her. Her group is going to have to start looking into this. Maybe ask around and start some undercover work. With that in mind she informed her husband of the idea, to which he nodded his approval.

“That’s a good idea. I’ll start an investigation too. As much as I want to believe that things are just getting better I doubt it. I have a feeling that something big is starting.” Silence fell before the two as they both thought about how to prepare for their respective investigations.

“So,” Suki broke the silence looking up to her husband with a sly smile, mirth sparkling in her eyes, “Sokka’s instincts, what next?” Sokka deflated, making her begin to giggle.

With a huff the man turned to hide his smile, “I’m going to make a call.” He responded, turning to grab his phone.

Notes:

Me: Chilling at work
My brain:.... "We should make a fic where-"
Me: "No."
My friends: "You should do it. It sounds so cool!"
Me: "But I have other stories..."
My friends: "No buts! Ur good at this! If you can't find it, make it! You got this! Just take ur time!"
Me preening under the positivity: "Okay~"

So... yeah, that's basically what happened, lol. XD Long story short, I now have two new stories in the works along with the two that I'm already working on. All in the MHA fandom and one of those two are a Fairy Tail crossover. I was able to get 7 chapters in on one and 3 chapters in on another. I'll start posting them sometime soon, so if you're interested, please keep an eye out for that!

Oh! Also, as you've noticed, I have changed the timeline for the show some. Everything will still happen in order, but in a more spaced out time frame. Cause lord I refuse to believe that everything began in like the first few days of school. I looked up a typical Japanese school schedule, as well as class schedules, and had adjusted them according to the MHA timeline. Is it accurate? Probably not, but it helps me visualize everything, so it works out!

Will this info be correct? Probably not, but It's what I found during my research so; entrance exams begin sometime at the beginning of February, we're using the 10th, The Opening ceremony and Entrance ceremony are different events' apparently and, depending on the school, last about 2 or 3 days. I combined it all and made it one day, the 8th of April. April 25th - 27th are known to be "study camp' days? So, I decided to make those USJ trip days. 25th is 1-A, 26th is 1-B and the 27 would have been a combined class. So yeah, that's the general timeline of the story currently. I'll keep you updated on it as we go.

I hope you all have a wonderful week. A astounding month. A remarkable day or night. Until next time
