1962
"You see that woman over there? She has heterochromia." Charles Xavier told his adopted sister Raven quietly, pointing at a pretty woman standing at the bar. "Do you think that's her?" Raven asked curiously, but he shook his head. "She has already found her soulmate." He answered, reading her mind and Raven sagged in disappointment as she really wanted her brother to find his soulmate
"Lucky girl." She muttered and he made a small face, just as disappointed as she was about still not having found their soulmates. "Lucky indeed. But maybe, she knows her. I'll be right back, Raven" He then realised as he stood up to talk to the woman. Raven tried to stop him from making a fool out of himself, but he didn't listen. Watching him chat her up with no results after a few seconds, she sighed as she got her bag and walked closer as well, hearing the woman, Amy, say the words "mutant and proud." She rolled her eyes at that.
As if she needed another reminder that there were better mutations than hers. "I guess I have to buy my own drink." She muttered sarcastically , Charles quickly ordering a cola with an apology. She gave her brother a look and he shook his head as he introduced her to Amy. Getting angry when Amy scoffed at hearing she studied waitressing, her powers acted up and they quickly left
"Don't talk to me. You did that on purpose." Charles muttered rather frustrated as they quickly walked out of the bar. "I did not! Why would I do it on purpose? You know I can't control it sometimes if I'm stressed or I'm tired." Raven immediately protested. "You seem to be doing a perfectly good job right now and now, we can't continue our search tonight thanks to you." He told her
"This was your idea since so many people come here." He then reminded her as he rolled his eyes in slight annoyance. ""Mutant and proud." Or is it only with pretty mutations or invisible ones like yours? But if you're a freak, you better hide." Raven muttered sarcastically as they quickly walked through the cold streets, thinking about how lucky Amy was as she had both a pretty mutation and her soulmate. "You're being ridiculous and I'm sure your soulmate won't care about how you look like." Charles reassured her
"Honestly, you should've seen her face when she found out we were soulmates in our first lives.I thought I was going to get killed on the spot." He continued. "Well, she eventually turned you to stone anyway." Raven reminded him and he winced at remembering that painful bit. "Yes, but I did betray her and we talked about that multiple times last time. I'd like to just live one life with her without having to go to any fights." He replied
She gave him a small smile as she knew he missed his soulmate. When he had told her that he had been a faun in one of his past lives, she had laughed at first as she had thought he had been joking. It wasn't until he showed her his memories that she realised he had been completely serious. Charles took a deep breath. "Just be a bit more careful next time, alright?" He then asked with a sigh and she nodded as they walked home.
That night when they were back at home, Raven was back in her natural blue form as she brushed her teeth. She still mulled over what Amy had said, repeating the words over and over again to her brother's frustration. No matter what Charles told her and no matter how many times he told her, she still honestly doubted that her soulmate would want her like this. Snuggling to her adoptive brother as he read his thesis to her, neither sibling knew that their would meet their soulmates very soon and in a very unexpected way
In Las Vegas, a car was standing outside one of the many clubs. "Another day at the office." Levene, an agent from the CIA muttered as he and his partner Moira MacTaggert were keeping watch outside it. "Is that colonel Hendry?" Moira asked as she saw him through her binoculars. He took it over and confirmed it after they had seen three mob bosses, the Italian ambassador and a powerful CEO standing outside as well.
"They can't be all communists. This Hellfire Club, it's gotta be something else." Moira said quietly. "Are you sure about this?" Levene asked."The person sounded very genuine in their letter and the scribbled words showed that it was written in a haste. Someone has risked their lives to bring us here. We have to check it out to make sure they didn't do it for nothing." Moira insisted as Levene saw several women in underwear walking in and enjoyed the sight.
Getting an idea, Moira pulled off her clothes and joined them. Inside, the colonel was greeted by a beautiful blonde woman. "Emma Frost. Sebastian Shaw's associate." She introduced herself politely. "Where is Mr. Shaw?" Colonel Hendry asked. "We're having a party and here's the entertainment." The woman told him as the other women joined them and she pulled him along. Moira managed to join them without raising suspicion.
Getting inside the room as well, Moira saw Emma looking right at her from across the room and the blonde woman quickly smirked in satisfaction as if she knew something that Moira didn't. She briefly glanced at the colonel, then back at Moira, shortly beckoned with her head and closed the curtains. Realising she was supposed to follow them there, Moira crossed the room and opened the curtains, only to find the seat completely empty, even though they couldn't have gone anywhere without her seeing them.
Quickly getting into the seat and closing the curtains again behind her, she saw a very small note with an arrow pointing up. Pushing down on the knob on the centre of the table, Moira managed to enter a secret room and found a lot of secret information. She silently cheered to herself, realising her tip had been right. She ducked at hearing a bump and seeing the bookcase move a bit.
Peaking through the tiny created slit that the bump had made, Moira saw Emma turn herself into diamond form as well as a devil-like teleporting mutant appearing out of nowhere and taking taking the colonel away. While the guy Moira recognised as Sebastian Shaw was talking to a third person, she jumped slightly at suddenly seeing Emma's eyes looking straight at her.
The woman subtly gestured sideways with her head, telling her to get out before they saw he and Moira quickly fled out of the room, taking the note with her. Quickly getting outside the club and back to the car, she immediately called her boss and told him what she had seen, only to get dismissed by him as colonel Hendry was there with him and it sounded rather crazy. After he hung up on her, she loudly groaned in frustration as she threw her phone down. "Are you crazy?! Now what do we do?" Levene asked loudly.
He was unable to believe that Moira had literally walked into the lion's den for a tip they hadn't even been sure was real. "We find an expert on genetic mutation." Moira decided and they drove away from the club. Neither agent noticed Emma standing in the shadows of the building, watching them go. "Good luck." She whispered as she went back inside
Notes:
So, in case you get confused. This is basically an AU of my Harry Potter AU. You don't need to read everything, but know that Tumnus and Jadis were somehow soulmates and when Jadis was defeated by Aslan, she got eventually reborn as a baby and raised by the pevensies, Harry and his twin sister.
After the Kings and Queens of Old disappeared, she ruled the narnians both openly and in hiding until the time of Caspian, her life being extended by Aslan until they returned. It was during the battle for Narnia that she found out that tumnus was reborn as well
Here, they're reborn for the third time and have to find each other again
If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask.
This idea was mostly inspired by the fact that James McAvoy plays both Tumnus and young professor X
Read and review. See you next time
Chapter 2: Marked complete for now
Chapter Text
Hey everyone
I'm really sorry for doing this, but I'm marking this story as complete as I have absolutely no inspiration for it and haven't for years. Again, I'm really sorry, but this story was just screaming in my face while knowing I was likely never going to update it again, so it's best to just do it this way. It wasn't as popular anyway as I'd hoped
I may return to this story one day, but I doubt it. If anyone wants to take the story over, feel free to do so as long as you ask permission and give me credit
I apologise to everyone who had subscribed to this story and I hope to see you in a different story
