Chapter Text

6:00am, that’s what was written in big red letters on the clock Loki kept staring at.

After six terrible night shifts at the Hospital, he was glad that tonight wasn’t so Busy. Soon the morning shift would arrive which meant he finally could go to bed and get some sleep. Slowly his thoughts wandered to a certain Doctor and wondered what he is doing right now.

Shaking the thought away Loki looked around the room at their little night team. Okoye was the oldest one and like a Mother to all of the others. Then there was Pietro and Wanda, the twins were always together and the biggest sweethearts Loki ever got to meet. Lastly there was him. 

All of them are sitting at their work desks waiting for something to do while gossiping about the latest happenings at the Hospital. 

„Attention, attention Nurse Laufeyson is thinking about Mr. New and still single again“ Okoye said excited.

"He may be single but I doubt that he would snatch a bite out of any of us and even less me" Loki said trying not to let his disappointment to be heard and ignored the glare he got from Okoye, while Pietro and Wanda rolled their eyes in sync.

Who Mr. New was who made Loki keep getting lost in thought?

Dr. Mobius. The New Doctor that is making everyone smile whenever he showed up. Whenever he came to work, he would come to their Nurse office with Chocolates and takes his time making sure everyone has coffee. A big hearted and sweet human being.

It also didn’t help that he was quite a good looking man, with his silver hair and charming smile he was everyone's favorite Doctor in such a short time.

"Oh come on Loki, we all know you always try your hardest not to drag him into a closet and make out with him like a horny teenager" Wanda said smirking at him. 

„Not to mention that by the looks of it he probably had the same thought about you“ Pietro added placing his hands on his sisters shoulders. 

All eyes fell on him to wait on his answer. Loki snapped out again of his little daydream about Mobius and looked at his friends. "Believe me Wanda if I had the chance I would do more than make out with that fine piece of a Man" he replied with a sigh.

That made the twins laugh out loud and Okoye make gagging noises.

It was no secret that Loki was completely gone on Mobius. Every time the Silver haired Doctor showed up Loki was all giddy and excited which Loki kept denying. But who was he kidding everyone knew because he couldn’t help giving the Doctor the 'heart eyes' like Okoye would always say.

Well, everyone knew but Mobius himself. His friends tried to get The Doctor to notice the way Loki felt by dropping hints whenever Loki and Mobius were in the same room. Sometimes they would take joy out of teasing Loki so much in front of Mobius that Loki would get grumpy all day.

The gagging made the twins laugh even more and Loki joining them. None of them noticed the figure standing at the door but the sound of someone clearing their throat made them all turn to the door.

"I am glad to see that you guys are having a fun night" everyone froze. "And by the way who is the Man you all are talking about? Do I know him?" Mobius asked with a smile on his face while taking a sip from his coffee. 

Loki felt a sudden rush of panic set in. He knew that it won't be long until his friends would start to tease him by dropping hints at the doctor again. God Loki was so Done with this Night shift!

"Oh you know Mobius, we were talking about one of the Doctors Loki has a crush on" Pietro smirked and looked over at Loki who turned even paler than before. “You know him very well in fact he works here at the Hospital." Okoye added.

Mobius mouth dropped open.

That made Loki turn red from embarrassment, surly Mobius must be figuring out that they were talking about him, he could see the surprise on his face and the gears working in Mobius’s head. Out of his eyes he could see Thor also joined their group with a huge smile on his face which made Mobius come out of his thoughts and focus his eyes on Thor then Him. That was enough to make Loki get into action.

"OOOkay! That’s it I don’t think anyone wants to hear about any of that! Now excuse me" Loki blurted out while rushing to stand up. He felt more than embarrassed at how his friends grinned knowingly and the fact that Mobius was staring at him didn’t help either.

So without saying another thing he pushes past Mobius and Thor and runs down the halls outside the Hospital.

Outside he took a deep breath before looking back at the door hoping that no one followed him. To his surprise Pietro stood there with a huge smirk leaning against the wall of the hospital. „Congrats you just made the guy you like think you ran out because of Thor“

„Oh I am sorry that I was to embarrassed that I only wanted to get out! I mean come on why do you guys alway have to try and make him know?“ Loki glared at the huge smile that turned up at Pietros face.

„Because you both are fools you both are clearly in love with each other but yet botch of you make no move to confess and talk to each other some more.“ He really tried to disagree with Pietro but he just couldn’t. He hated it.

„You should just tell him Lokes, really thinks you like Thor and not him you should have seen his face when you ran out“ Pietro lost his smile and put a comforting Hand on Lokis shoulder. „Can we just forget this happened for now? Please Pietro?“

He knew he was being a coward but the small nod and smile Pietro sent his way as an answer made him feel better. Together they went back inside seeing the Morning staff already there. Without saying anything else. Wanda grabbed Lokis arm and with Pietro and Okoye they left to go home.

Mobius loved work. The people accepted him with open arms and soon he got along with everyone. Slowly sipping on his coffee he looked at the clock. 6:00am were written in bold red letters on the clock on his little desk at the office he shared with three of his now close friends. He kept wondering what Loki would be doing right now. Soon the morning shift would arrive to work which meant the night shift finally could go home.

„Thinking about him again?“ Mobius nearly spit out the sip he just took and looked shocked at Stephen. „Is it that obvious?“ 

His question only got him a deep chuckle back. He remembers just how much he thought that chuckle belonged to an arrogant asshole the first day. Stephen Strange was, how should he put it strange and very arrogant but after they got wasted after a hard day at work they found out they had quite some things in common. 

The other two Doctors who had been present that day were now looking up from their spots and looked over at the embarrassed Mobius. Thor Odinson who looked like he could rip you apart with just two fingers but actually works at the Children’s Department. The other doctor he quickly got along with was Bruce Banner a very quiet and patient doctor but who could lift and carry anything when he gets stressed or angry. Together they made a weird combo but still they became friends.

„My dear friend I am sorry to inform you that yes it is that obvious“ the answer said by Thor made Mobius blush slightly and rub the back of his neck nervously. „I still think you should tell him, He likes you as well you know“ Bruce added softly.

„How do you tell someone that you barley spoke to, oh and has a girlfriend that you have fallen in love with them?“ The silence that met his question answered it all. Mobius knew that the others only meant well but it didn’t help his aching heart. Turning his focus back to his coffee in front of him he started to space out again.

The person Mobius fell in love with?

Loki Laufeyson. The first time Mobius saw him, he was playing with the children at Thors department and telling them stories to make them happy. He loved to see Lokis eyes light up as the children started giggling in delight and how his whole face started glowing whenever he laughed. 

So if he walked through the children’s department every time with chocolates and took his time to make each of them a coffee just to see Loki

No one had to know.

No matter how much Mobius wanted to look away at that moment he just couldn’t bring himself to do it. He was completely in love but the worst part everyone around him seemed to know, everyone but Loki himself. It also didn’t help how Loki was already in a relationship with one of the other nurses. Mobius once accidentally walked in on them dancing and laughing together not caring who would see. So without making himself known he left again.

It broke his heart but he couldn’t ruin Lokis relationship just cause he was a fool and basically fell in love at first sight.

With a loud groan Mobius pushed himself up from his chair and looked over at the others who were back to being busy looking over cases. „I am going to get myself a fresh coffee do you guys need something as well?“ Just as he was about to get an answer Christine ran into the room and glared at Stephen. 

That got Thors and Bruces Attention as well They knew better than to ask what’s going on and so the three left Stephen with Christine without another word. The second the door closed they heard Christine start her angry speech. Mobius shook his head and went to the Break room to brew some new coffee not caring if the other two followed or not. The footsteps that followed him told him they did. 

Arriving at break room Mobius heard laughing and loud talking coming from the room doors. „Mobius he is here you know maybe you sh-„ 

„Just don’t Thor! I just don’t want to talk about it, not tonight please“ Bruce patted his shoulder in comfort before taking Thors arm and leading him away from Mobius.

Silently he made his coffee and tried to listen in on what the four nurses next door were talking about. Not being able to hear, curiosity got the best of him and Mobius walked over to the Nurses office. None of them noticed how he has arrived at the doorframe and he was about to walk in when:

"Believe me Wanda if I had the chance I would do more than make out with that fine piece of a Man“

That made Mobius freeze and stare at Loki in shock. Loki liked Men? He should be happy that Loki was in fact not dating Wanda like he thought the whole time.

He still stood there frozen while Wanda and Pietro laughed and Okoye made gagging noises which set the twins into more laughter and Loki joining in.

 A little bubble of hope build in his chest. 

Clearing his throat to make himself known. 

"I am glad to see that you guys are having a fun night" Mobius watched how everyone froze at what he said so without raising to much suspicion, he put on a smile and added

“And by the way who is the Man you all are talking about? Do I know him?“

He took a sip of his coffee and kept his eyes on Loki who has gotten paler since he spoke up. He didn’t see how Okoye and the Twins shared a look before Pietro announced loudly:

"Oh you know Mobius, we were talking about one of the Doctors Loki has a crush on“

At the word Doctor Mobius looked at the nurses surprised and saw how Piedro kept his eyes on Loki who gotten even paler if that was even possible. Before Mobius could focus on what that meant another voice spoke up.

 "You know him very well in fact he works here at the Hospital." Okoye added.

That made Mobius’s mouth drop open. Loki liked a male Doctor from this Hospital AND it was one he knew? His brain started working 100mph who they might mean. The only other doctors he actually knew were Stephen, Bruce and Thor but both Stephen and Bruce were taken which meant the only left would be…

He got pulled out from his thought by Thor who also joined them with a huge smile hoping to get into the conversation as well. Mobius looked back at Loki who has turned from pale to a scarlet red.

"OOOkay! That’s it I don’t think anyone wants to hear about any of that! Now excuse me" Loki blurted out while rushing to stand up. Mobius stared at him and wanted to ask if he was okay but before he could Loki has already pushed past him and ran down the hall.

Mobius looked after him while his heart broke. He wanted to confirm his worry but he couldn’t talk and move his mind screaming five words over and over again:

Loki Laufeyson liked Thor Odinson.

„Wait what did I miss?“ Thor looked confused after Loki before looked at all the others who looked just as surprised. Pietro shared a look with his sister before excusing himself and run after Loki. 

„You missed nothing Thor absolute nothing“ Mobius said trying to hide the pain in his voice but by the look Okoye gave him he knew he failed. „I need to finish my work please excuse me.“ Without waiting for anyone to answer Mobius walked back to the office he originally came from. 

„You should go after him Thor he probably thinks Loki likes you instead of him“ Thor looked even more confused at Wandas words. „But why would he think that? Its completely obvious that Loki is gone on him“

Okoye rolled her eyes at the bulky man „To us yes but all Mobius just saw is Loki running away right after you showed up just as we said that he has a crush on a Doctor“ That seemed to pull Thor out of his trance and with a nod he ran after his friend.

Chapter Text

Mobius knew what he was doing was bad but he couldn’t bring himself to face the pain. He heard Thors foot steps behind him but he didn’t stop. Without care he opened the door to the shared office and walked to his desk to collect the last of his papers. He Ignored the confused Looks of Bruce and Stephen when Thor ran into the room a second later walking up to Mobius like he would be killed any second.

„Mobi you misunderstood what happened, believe me I only came in at the worst timing he doesn’t like me like that! The doctor he likes is Y-„ 

„SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP THOR AND LEAVE ME ALONE!“ The room got quiet. None of the three doctors ever heard Mobius raise his voice or saw him this emotional no matter what happened. It was unsettling to see him like that.

„Just…Just let me get my stuff and go home I am tried“ no one said something as Mobius got his files and left through the door. „Uhmmm do you mind sharing what this was about?“ Thor looked over at Stephen and Bruce who Looked him frozen in shock.

„Okoye and the twins were hinting that Loki was interested in a Doctor and as I joined them Loki ran out and now he thinks Loki likes me and not Him.“ Stephen facepalmed while Bruce took his phone out and pressed speed dial which made Thor frown at him.

Before he could question Bruce the man held up a finger. „Hello? Yes hi its me Bruce Banner, Yes How are you doing Ravonna? Thats great…okay listen Mobius is going to come home soon and he is going to be very emotional…“ Stephen smirked at Bruce knowing exactly what he has planned. 

„…Ah no he wasn’t Hurt well at least not physical…no no no He thinks Loki is in Love with Thor because of a misunderstanding…Yeah great just like I wanted…of course bye“ with that the phone was hung up and Bruce looked at the other two Men.

„Ravonna knows and is going to make him open his damn eyes and YOU!“ Bruce turned to Thor with a look of disappointment „stay away from Loki until all this disaster is over got it? Now I am going home to my Wonderful wife and tell her how thankful I am that we have our shit together“

Without waiting for a reply Bruce took his stuff and left.

„You really have the worst timing you know? He is right…“ 

„I DIDNT EVEN KNOW!“ Stephen laughed at Thors outburst and together they also left work and went home.

As soon Mobius opened the door he knew he was in trouble. Ravonna stood in the Hallway with her arms crossed and glare directed at him. He would never admit it but he was damn scared of her when she did that.

He knew his roommate was harmless most of the time but as a Judge she knew how to read people and to stand her ground. „There you are. Imagine this I had a weird dream where Bruce Banner called me and told me that you are emotional cause you misunderstood a situation and think that your lover boy is in love with Thor. Can you imagine my surprise when I realized that this want a dream?“

Mobius flinched and looked at his roommate before slowly taking his jacket and shoes off. „I didn’t misunderstood Ravonna Loki turned red exactly the second Thor was there and runs out not a second later“ he was prepared for everything but not the laughing that filled his ears.

Ravonna had started laughing hysterically at Mobius words. She really cared for Mobius so when she first found out that he was crushing on a Nurse at the hospital she squeezed every information out of him he knew. She walked forward and pulled Mobius into the living room by his arm and sat down on the couch with him.

„Have you maybe considered that he got red cause the guy he liked listened to his friends tease him right in front of you and he ran off cause he was scared that you find out?“

„That sound so logical when you say it“ Mobius hated when Ravonna was right and she knew and used it against him. „Of course it sound logical cause that’s what has probably happened but you running off as well instead of simply asking him is wrong! The guy is probably feeling bad running off like that and finding you gone.“

God how he wanted for her to be right but no matter how much he replayed the scene in his head there always was one result. Loki Laufeyson liked Thor Odinson. Ravonna noticed how his face turned sad again to a point where a simple tear rolled down her friends face. 

„Oh Mobius why can’t you simply believe that he is just as in love like you are with him?“ Ravonna tried to wipe his tear away but more came and soon Mobius was a sobbing mess. Softly she changed their position and held her closest friend close while he cried.

She cursed the day Mobius met his ex Boyfriend. She remembered how the guy  would say things that made Mobius doubt himself to a point where his confidence was basically non existent only to leave him broken and in so much pain.

Ravonna had to drag Mobius back up again and helped him regain some of his confidence back but some of the doubts still stayed with him. „You don’t have to talk to him now Mobius but promise me that you will talk to him and throw away any doubt and fear you have„

„I promise I will once I get the courage“ came his quiet voice from her arms. He would try and that was good enough for Ravonna.

Going back to work was torture. All Mobius wanted to do is go to the Nurses office like every time he went to work but he was scared. So he did the only logical thing for him to do, avoid Loki at all cost.

He nearly succeeded until he was walking back to his shared office and saw Loki coming closer in front of him. He saw how Loki lit up and sent him a smile and a small wave. Mobius started to panic so the only thing he could do was turn around and walk away. His brain was yelling at him how this is for the best, he wasn’t ready to face Loki without dragging him into an empty room and kissing him senseless.

But his heart broke with each step he took.

He didn’t saw how Lokis smile turned sad before collecting himself again and walking faster until he was running to catch up with Mobius.

Lost in his thoughts Mobius didn’t noticed how Loki caught up with him and grabbed his arm to make him stop walking. Stoked at how firm Lokis grip was Mobius could only stop and stare at the Man in front of him.

„I need to talk to you. Alone.“ Thats all that Loki said before dragging Mobius into the Nurses office. Okoye and Wanda who were deep in conversation stopped to look at the new comers. „Please leave us alone me and Mobius have to talk about some things in private“ the sheer confidence Lokis voice made Mobius stare but he didn’t care.

Wanda and Okoye shared a knowing smile before walking out without questioning and closed the door behind them.

„Why were you ignoring me and tried to run away?“ Mobius had to laugh at Lokis question. The whole situation seemed like a weird dream. „Because I am respecting your feelings as best as I can Loki. You may think its weird or rude but I am doing what is best for the best of us.“

„Best for us? Do You actually believe that I walked out because I have feelings for Th-„ Mobius pulled his arm out of Lokis grip way to harshly than he intended and interrupted the other man without looking at him. 

„Yes! Loki that’s exactly what I believe. Its best for us if we pretend that I never heard the conversation and that any of this is happening! You don’t owe me anything and neither do I owe you, so lets just forget and never talk again to save us both some trouble“

That was the wrong thing to say and Mobius knew the second he saw the tears in Lokis eyes.

„Fine if that’s what you really want lets do this“ He wanted to grab Lokis hand and apologize but Loki was already halfway out the door before Mobius could even react. „But just so you know Mobius, I never liked Thor not even for a single second“ the only thing Mobius heard were the words replaying over and over in his head.

I never liked Thor not even for a single second.

„So let me get this straight. You had the chance that the man you are in love with finds out that you like him but instead you ran away? And now HE thinks that you like Thor cause you left just as he showed up?“ Brunnhilde stared at Loki like he was the stupidest person she ever met. To be fair he probably was.

„If you say it like that is really sounds bad“ he replied weakly and looked down ashamed. „Of course it sounds bad Loki! You are an utter idiot! Its so obvious he likes you too and you have nothing better to do than run away! I mean the worst that could happen is him saying I don’t like you we should be friends“

The more she scolded him the more Loki felt ashamed. He knew that his roommate was right and he kind of hated it. 

„I have to agree with her sweetheart“ His mothers voice came from the kitchen. Frigga slowly came out of the kitchen with Lokis favorite snack and a glass of wine for the tree of them.

„Please not you too Mother I already hear enough of this from Okoye and the Twins at work and now after what happened I probably will never hear the end of it“ Loki groaned before taking a big sip from the wine. Both Brunnhilde and Frigga shared a annoyed look before hitting Loki at the back of the head at the same time.

„You whine to much. Can’t you see that we all just want to see you happy? Stop being scared and finally go to him and confess!“ Loki knew his mother was right but he couldn’t get rid of his fear that Mobius might not feel the same.

„ Fine i will tell him the next time I see him…“ he trailed off and smiled at how Happy both his Mother and Brunnhilde looked.

The rest of his free days Loki thought about how he could tell Mobius how he felt but no matter what he couldn’t find the right words. To say he was frustrated and tried by the time he walked into work was an understatement. 

The whole day Loki waited for Mobius to show up but he never came. That made everyone notice that something was wrong. He kept trying to run into the Doctor to a point Loki thought that maybe Mobius was just extremely busy that day.

Then he finally saw Mobius in the hallways. He started to smile and wave at him but the other man took one look at Loki and turned the other way not looking back.

He really tried to hold his tears in right there because he realized that Mobius wasn’t just busy like he first thought but rather he was ignoring Loki. 

„Oh the hell you won’t“ Loki whispered to himself before setting into a sprint to catch up with Mobius. Once he finally did he grabbed his arm and looked him in the eyes. „I need to talk to you. Alone“ without saying anything he dragged Mobius back to the Nurses Office and pulled him inside.

Wanda and Okoye looked up at him and Mobius but without missing a beat he looked at them and said firmly: „Please leave us alone me and Mobius have to talk about some things in private“

He felt Mobius stare at him but he really didn’t care.

Once the two nurses left he turned and looked at Mobius still holding his arm in an attempt to ground himself. „Why were you ignoring me and tried to run away?“

Of all the reactions he expected, Mobius laughter wasn’t one of them.

„Because I am respecting your feelings as best as I can Loki. You may think its weird or rude but I am doing what is best for us.“

„Best for us? Do you actually believe that I walked out because I have feelings for Th-„ Loki couldn’t finish his question. Not after Mobius pulled his arm out of his grip and interrupted him „Yes! Loki that’s exactly what I believe its best for us if we pretend that I never heard the conversation and that any of this is happening! You don’t owe me anything and neither do I owe you, so lets just forget and never talk again to save us both some trouble.“

Loki felt as if those words burned his heart and ripped it apart. He didn’t care anymore that Mobius could see the tears that formed in his eyes. He felt like dying while uttering the next words to Mobius. 

„Fine if that’s what you really want lets do this“ as fast as he can he gets to the door but before he can leave he turn around one last time to look over at Mobius.

„But just so you know Mobius, I never liked Thor not even for a single second“ he knew it didn’t matter but he felt like he needed Mobius to know.

He left not even a moment later tears streaming down his face.

Chapter Text

Its been a week and yet Loki could not find sleep. He knew everyone was worried about him but he just couldn’t bring himself to talk about what happened. Pietro asked if he needed to beat Mobius up which Okoye and Wanda nodded to and stood up but his only response was a shake of his head.

So soon a week was over and Loki still felt pain in his heart. He walked past Mobius multiple times in the hallways but whenever the other man tried to talk to him he just ran. One morning a woman named Ravonna even showed up and tried to talk to him but once he found out she knew Mobius he stopped talking and just left her standing.

He was exhausted but yet here he was at another night shift swaying slowly from side to side from tiredness. With his head low, Loki walked down the corridor he didn’t see Thor walk his way neither he saw the slightly smaller man besides him. The next thing he knew his face collided with a broad and firm chest. 

Thor let out a chuckle before steading Loki who was turning red from embarrassment when he finally noticed that not only he walked right into Thor but Mobius was standing right there staring at him weirdly.

„I would say sleep well but you look like you haven’t slept for weeks. Someone kept you up all night?“ Thor laughed at his own words but Loki only rolled his eyes. „Why are you jealous?“ To his surprise Mobius started laughing at his petty reply. Loki couldn’t help but stare at how beautiful Mobius looked while laughing. It was his new favorite sound and look on the other man. His heart started to hurt as he remembered the last conversation he had with the man. He felt Thors judging look between him and the silver haired man and Mobius who looked at him with big sad eyes.

A small giggle coming from their right made the three man look over. A little girl barely 6 years old stood there watching them with a big grin.

„What do you still do up at this hour little one?“ Thor smiled fondly at the girl.

„ I can’t sleep doctor Thor my belly aches and I want to ask Nurse Loki a question“ was the reply.

„Uhm sure you can ask him a question“ The little girl smiled brightly at Thor before looking over at Loki.

„Nurse Loki do you love Doctor Thor?“ Loki shook his head and stepped away from Thor. „Doctor Thor and I are friends I don’t love him“ that answer made the little girl giggle some more before turning her attention to Thor as he spoke up.

„Well Nurse Loki and Doctor Mobius actually are in love with each other but you see little one they had a fight and now they don’t talk to each other even though they really want to“ the little girl looked confused at Mobius then at Loki before her small face lit up again like she had the solution. 

„My Mama and Dada always Kiss when they fought! That makes them happy and they love each other again maybe that will help Doctor Mobius and Nurse Loki to be Happy again!“ Thor laughed at the small girl while both Mobius and Loki stood there with there mouth open and both of their cheeks red.

„Time for bed little one come on lets get you back to your room“ Thor smirked and left the two Men alone with their thoughts and embarrassment. Neither of them dared to look at the other but when their eyes met they both panic and run to their offices.

„Why do you look like you just ran away from a nightmare“ Okoye looked at Loki suspiciously.

„Oh maybe because a little girl just suggested than Him and Mobius kiss to make up“ Loki glared over his shoulder at Thor. „Yeah and who talked about me and Mobius fighting in the first place! And I can’t believe that you told that little girl that I loved him while he was standing RIGHT NEXT TO ME!“ Loki tried to show how mad he was about all of this but seeing all his friends start laughing at him so much that each of them nearly were at the floor he just wished he didn’t bring it up in the first place.

„God I hate all of you!“ With that Loki left the office.

Chapter Text

The following week was hell. Loki wasn’t being well and everyone could see. The few times Mobius passed Loki in the halls the other man just walked straight past him. He couldn’t hold it against him, what he said was hurtful and he regretted them deeply. When Ravonna found out she hunted him through the whole house with a baseball bat while screaming insults his way that he never heard before. At work it wasn’t better, Stephen and Bruce hit him cross the head while Thor just looked at him disappointed.

When the night shift came around he was glad that he could avoid most of the glares from the Nurses. Walking besides Thor he was lost in thought to what he could do to make it up to Loki and maybe finally confess what he is feeling.

When Thor stopped walking Mobius looked over at him before following his gaze to Loki wo looked surprised at being walked into Thor.

He looked closer at the man and saw how tried he actually looked but yet he was the most beautiful human being he had ever seen. God he Loved Loki so much it hurt.

„I would say sleep well but you look like you haven’t slept for weeks. Someone kept you up all night?“ Mobius shook his head when Thor laughed at his own words. With a roll of his eyes Loki looked at Thor. „Why are you jealous?“ 

Mobius couldn’t help himself at how petty Loki said that and started laughing. He felt Lokis eyes burning into him but he replay didn’t care. He felt Thors judging look between him and the dark haired man. 

A small giggle pulled Mobius out of his trance and made him look over with the other two men. A little girl stood there watching them with a big grin.

„What do you still do up at this hour little one?“ Thor smiled fondly at the girl.

„ I can’t sleep doctor Thor my belly aches and I want to ask Nurse Loki a question“ was the reply. Mobius heart melted at the innocent and pure honesty from that little girl.

„Uhm sure you can ask him a question“ The little girl smiled brightly at Thor before looking over at Loki. Her little eyes full of mischief, something he often saw in Lokis eyes.

„Nurse Loki do you love Doctor Thor?“ Mobius froze. There it was, the question he didn’t asked and would have saved so much between him and Loki.

Stepping away from Thor Loki shook his head. „Doctor Thor and I are friends I don’t love him“ letting out a breath he didn’t knew he was holding Mobius Looked at the little girl giggle some more before turning her attention to Thor as he spoke up.

„Well Nurse Loki and Doctor Mobius actually love each other but you see little one they had a fight and now they don’t talk to each other even though they really want to“ the little girl looked confused at Mobius then at Loki before her small face lit up again like she had the solution. 

„My Mama and Dada always Kiss when they fought! That makes them happy and they love each other again maybe that will help Doctor Mobius and Nurse Loki to be Happy again!“ Mobius nearly died right then and there. Thor laughed but he was frozen in place thousand pictures of him and Loki kissing and making up fly into his head.

„Time for bed little one come on lets get you back to your room“ Thor smirked and left the two Men alone with their thoughts and embarrassment.

 Neither of them dared to look at the other but when their eyes met they both panic and run to their offices.

As soon he arrived he slammed the door shut and tried to slow his breathing. Stephen didn’t even looked up and Bruce just took of his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose.

„What did you do this time Mobius?“ Came Stephens dry voice from his desk.

„A little Girl just suggested that me and Loki kiss to make up and Thor told her that me and Loki are In love with each other“ That certainly got a reaction from the other two Doctors who looked up so fast Mobius was surprised they didn’t hurt their necks.

„Please tell me you two finally kissed!?“ Stephen shouted while standing up and walking over to Mobius. Bruce remained at his desk and looked at him for his answer.

„No we didn’t Thor brought the little girl away and we both kinda…you know ran away from each other?“ 

„You know when you came home and said we have our shit together you were not lying“ Jumping at the sudden female voice behind him Mobius turned around to come face to face with a Red head he only knew from a picture on Bruce Desk. „Don’t even start Honey these two are hopeless, what brings you here I thought you are on your way to a girls night?“ The woman, Natasha as Mobius remembers holds up a bag with food Bruce smiles softly at her.

„You forgot your food and since I am the best wife of all time I thought to drop by and bring it to you“ She walks over and gives him a soft kiss before putting the food down and walking back to the door. „Oh and Mobius get you act finally together and move you ass out this door to find Loki“ with that she was gone just as fast as she came.

„See that’s what you could have if you actually listened to any of us“ Stephen cut in rolling his eyes and the love sick look Bruce has while looking at the food bag.

„I hate you all!“ With that Mobius walked out the Door.

Chapter Text

It was awful quiet in the hallway. No bell was ringing and the lights were dimmed until only a soft glow was left. But in the silence of these Halls  soft footsteps walked right up to each other and stopped when they reached where they wanted to go.

It felt private and intimate as Loki and Mobius stared at each other. Neither of them Noticed how their friends quietly walked out of their offices to watch the scene that was about to unfold. 

„Hey“ 

„Hi“

These two words broke the silence and Mobius couldn’t help and share a smile with Loki. Slowly he reached out and took the raven haired hands, not once looking away from those beautiful eyes that he loved so deeply.

Thor wanted to yell for them to finally get it over with and Kiss but Pietro put his hand over his mouth to silence him while Wanda and Okoye glared at him.

„I am sorry for all the things I said. It was wrong and I regretted them the second I told them to you. The truth is Loki, I have been gone for you the second I saw you in these exact Halls“ Loki let out a teary laugh but didn’t interrupt Mobius. That made the silvered man smile dreamy and continue his speech.

„I know I don’t really have the right to say this but I love you Loki and it broke my heart when I thought you didn’t felt the same despite every one telling me you did. I just hope you can forgive me“ It was silent. Okoye and the Twins held their breath. Thor didn’t dare to move while Stephen and Bruce tried no to scream from happiness that their friend finally said it.

Loki was completely frozen in place. His heart was going way to fast for it to be healthy. The man he loved was standing right there and said he loved him back. His smile only widens and after a deep breath he answers.

„Well to be fair what you said was really hurtful but the little girl left me in a good mood so Yes I forgive you“ Mobius laughed at Lokis playful reply. Soon it became silent again and both men were just staring lovingly at each other.

„Oh come on just fucking Kiss already!“ Okoye voice rang through the hallways. Both man jumped apart, just then noticing they weren’t alone. Their faces turned red from embarrassment but yet nothing could wipe away the smiles on their faces. Mobius slowly took Lokis hand again and looked up to the slightly taller man. 

„Soooo I believe they want to see what happens…“Loki said all of a sudden shy and Looking around to see that the morning shift had also joined the scene and were staring and whispering to what might happen. 

„Well I hope they are ready for quite a show cause I wanted to do that for quite some time now“

Before Loki could understand he was pulled close. He wasn’t prepared for how strong Mobius really was when he got dipped to the side while strong arms held him firmly.

But mostly he wasn’t prepared for those soft lips that touched his in what Loki early could say the best Kiss he ever experienced.

So lost in their own little world they couldn’t heart how the whole Hall erupted into cheers and whistles.

All that Loki felt was Mobius.

His Mobius.

Chapter Text

Loki woke up from his deep sleep and looked around his room. He let out a groan at the dream he had and put his hands over his face. Looking over at his clock the time showed him that it was 7 am in the morning. With another groan the turned to the side and stared at the empty place besides him with a frown.

He hated when he had dreams like that only to wake up to his empty bed with no warm body to cuddle into. Slowly he got up and walked out his room into the Kitchen. Trying to sleep was out of the question once he was awake.

„Coffee it is then“ he whispered to himself. Quietly as possible he prepared his coffee and in the middle of doing so he also started to cook some breakfast. Completely lost in thought and replaying his dream over and over in his head.

In the silence of his cooking two slender arms wrap around his middle and a soft kiss was placed on his bare shoulder. 

„Why up already?“ The deepness and raspiness of the voice told him that the other man wasn’t up long. Loki turned around to face Mobius with a soft smile before leaning down for a soft kiss. 

„I could ask the same but since you asked so nicely…I had another dream and woke up with no one to cuddle up to“ Mobius let out a fond chuckle and pulled Loki closer to him. They stood in silence one again just enjoying the others arms around each other. 

After a while Mobius looked up at his lover and smiled fondly. He still couldn’t believe how lucky he got back when Loki and himself got together. It was hard for the both of them at first since both man were scared to talk about their feelings. 

After a few Months kissed turned into arguments with both being to stubborn to apologize first. Many hugs turned into Tears after saying things they both didn’t meant and some days it came close to a break up.

But if there is one thing Mobius learned from this relationship its that their friends always had their backs. No matter how bad it got their friends were there to support them and help them over come their Insecurities together.

Now after three years Loki and Mobius were stronger than ever. They moved in together 2 years ago and it had been pure bliss for the both of them.

„Hey the two of you shouldn’t see each other today that’s bad Luck!“ Wanda nearly screamed. Loki rolled his eyes and looked over at his friend. 

„Leave us alone Wanda we don’t care if it’s bad luck or not and how the hell did you even get in here especially at this time?“ the annoyed tone in his fiancés voice made Mobius laugh before kissing Lokis cheek and pulling himself out of his arms.

„I let her in mischief, I wanted to let you sleep so I could sneak out.“ Now it was Wandas turn to roll her eyes. She looked over at Mobius both of them fully aware what will happen next. Loki full on started to act like a toddler who just got his candy taken away.

„Buuut whhyy??? Dont you love me anymore? I thought we wouldn’t care about stuff like that!“  Loki all but whined while making puppy eyes at Mobius. „I am sorry my love but I don’t really have a choice“ the smaller man replied and gave a small nod when Loki eyes turned suspicious. 

„They told you to leave yourself or get dragged away didn’t they?“ The grin Mobius gave Loki confirmed his suspicion. „Fine! But I swear if any of you try to force us to do any more traditions I’m gonna punch all of you“ 

All he heard and saw was how Wanda started giggling before dragging Mobius out the kitchen and then out of the apartment to god knows where. Back alone again Loki took his coffee and breakfast and started his morning.

Around 10am his Mother came and trailing behind her he could see Wanda, Okoye, Natasha, Christine and Brunnhilde. He didn’t knew if he should laugh or cry when all of them grinned at him before dragging him around the house to get ready.

„Come on he aint getting ready by himself make sure he looks absolutely stunning!“ Frigga said to them while getting Champaign glasses for everyone and filling them up. Soon all of them went into work.

Once everyone was done with their work Loki was dressed and couldn’t shake off the nerves as he stared at himself in the mirror in front of him. „I think I am gonna puke what if he dont show up or worse changes his mind!?“ He knew that Mobius would never leave him like that but still there was this little voice of doubt.

Two soft hands were placed on his shoulder and guided him to sit down. Loki looked up into his mothers loving gaze before she took her place behind him. With feather light touches she started to fix his dark hair. The chatting stopped and everyone looked over at the scene with soft smiles.

„Mobius loves you Loki and that’s all that matters right now. I know you two had a rough way to get to this day but I have never seen him back down. He still looks at you the same way he did when you first got together“ Frigga spoke just as softly as her touch „He would never change his mind because you are his world and he would rather die than to lose you and I couldn’t be happier for you to Marry a man that loves you like he does“

Frigga slowly let go of his hair. Looking over at the mirror Loki could see that half of his hair was made up into a kinda messy bun while other small parts of his hair were braided. He turned around with tears in his eyes and hugged his mother tight. 

„Thank you“ was all he got out before he started to cry. All of the other had tears in their eyes as well. Staying like that Frigga hugged Loki back. 

When Friggas soft voice rang out Loki knew his mother was right.

It was time to go Marry the man he Loved.

Chapter Text

Mobius was nervous. He had been texting Loki the whole day but got no reply. He knew that he probably was getting ready but that didn’t stop him from getting even more nervous. He looked at his friends who were with him in the room not listening to what they were saying.

„Stop worrying Mobi Nat texted me that everything was fine“ Bruce tried to comfort his friend but to no avail. „I know he is fine I just…I just am way to nervous…“ Ravonna shook her head and placed a soft hand on Mobius. 

„If you are trying to tell us that you are getting cold feet I am totally punch you right now and drag you to the altar myself and tie you there“ Stephen and Thor laughed but nodded in agreement.

„I am not getting cold feet! God no I am more than ready to Marry him I am just worried that I am gonna mess up my vow and make a complete fool out of myself“ he tried to be offended at Ravonnas words but he couldn’t help the grin that turned up on his face.

„Dont worry brother you already made a complete fool out of yourself in front of Loki so I doubt he would run away from you“ Mobius glared at Thor while Stephen laughed even more.

In the end he didn’t forgot his vows and he never made a Fool out of himself. He did cry when he finally saw Loki walk towards him with Frigga on his arm. He cried even more when Loki said his vows. 

Both men were completely drowned in each other. All they saw was each other.

„I pronounce you husband and Husband! You may Kiss each other!“ Ravonna announced Happily.

Mobius grinned at Loki before pulling him close.

„Well I hope they are ready for quite a show cause I wanted to do that for quite some time now“ and just like the first time at the Hospital the two lovers kissed and the crowd started cheering.

Loki giggled pulling Mobius out of his thoughts and looking up at his now Husband. They were embraced closely and swaying to a soft melody that was playing. Around them other couples were doing the same.

„I never got to ask but what was the dream about this time?“ Loki closed his eyes and leaned his head down to rest on Mobius shoulder.

„You and I were there like always, The beach was beautiful and we were smiling…“ the soft hum encouraged look to keep going so he did.

„…But this time you had a daughter she was our daughter. We were all laughing and happy then I woke up“ Mobius turned his head to leave a kiss against Lokis forehead.

„Lets make it reality, Our reality“ The smile he got in return made Mobius fall in love even more.

So if only four years later Mobius walked at the beach with his hand holding Lokis tightly while their daughter ran ahead of them…

Well Mobius wanted everyone to know.

Hela smiled down the two graves that rested side by side. Her son and Husband held each of her hand as they slowly turned away and walked back to the car.

With one last look Hela said goodbye to her Fathers smiling their vows to each other written on their stones.

„Loki my love,

I didnt knew what I was missing in my life until you came and turned it upside down.

You make the most beautiful little mistakes. 

You are somehow different but I think it fits you.

If you only knew what goes on inside of me while you are only standing in from of me
