Loki.exe has stopped working. Like those old TVA computers that seemed to inexplicably shut down only to reboot in the most torturously slow way; the god's sympathetic nervous system shut down, only to turn back on a second later with an adrenaline rush worthy of being chased by Zeus himself. Loki felt his jaw hit the floor, feeling stupidly hot for a damn frost giant. He was sure the coach and boys had said something else, but his ears had stopped being useful the exact moment Sean ended his statement. What in the Nine Realms had just happened?

AU where Loki was rescued from that terrifying tree and got to live a happy life with Mobius in a new timeline. Basically, lots of family fluff.

It wasn’t like either of them to be silent when spending their downtime together, not unless they were caught up in peaceful appreciation of moments steeped in placidity and gentle affection.
And there was certainly nothing peaceful about this evening, nor remotely affectionate. It might have been quiet, but that alone was disturbing, and far from indicative that everything was alright.

Loki had seen human scripture, had seen the images of demons and ghouls that haunt the human race. And while his love isn’t a very religious man, apart from the Chanukah parties with his family, Loki knows that kind of religious influence affects humans regardless of their own belief systems.
